Don't know why I'm surprised. Warhammer always wored their inspirations on their sleeves. So Sigmar is basically Conan the Barbarian, after all.
and Warhammer 40k is a kind of Dune rip off some fundamentals being exactly the same
Yes but Conan is in fantasy Bronze/Copper Age, while Sigmar is in fantasy Early Medieval period (Sigmar is basically Charlemagne)
To add Conan's tribe the Cimmarians were a historical people of the Caucusus who were driven out by the Sythians (yes the Sythians in Rome Total War) and later would fight the Neo-Assyrian Empire

The GRU reportedly are the largest agency in Russia Currently with about 25,000 SPETZNAS (Special Forces) as of 1997.

Lol The Vampire Wars would be cool. You could do the battle of black pass, the siege of Praag etc. The Warhammer universe is full of very detailed battles.

Gotta love how Warhammer just wears it's inspirations on it's sleeve. Baby born covered in blood (Conan), 300 warriors taking on a vast invading force (Thermopylae), elite warriors holding a bridge (Stamford Bridge), hit and run cavalry tactics against a numerically superior enemy (could be either the Huns or more likely the Mongols). Very fun video!

Templin Institute is pretty solid, though Wheel of Time battles might be short, there’s a couple major battles but it’s mostly skirmishes throughout the book

Excellent video. There are so many battles to explore in the Warhammer world. And with WTW3 around the corner it is certainly exciting times.
I understand the focus on popular series like Warhammer, Lotr, Witcher etc but some suggestions for further down the line could be
The Horus Heresy (Istvaan 3 and Istvaan 5 to start, Prospero, Calth)
Also Malazan Book of the Fallen (The Chain of Dogs, Siege of Capustan are some of the best miltary writing in grimdark).
Joe Abercrombie's First Law series also has many great battles to cover.

I'm looking forward to first battle of Black Fire Pass next (Sigmar jumping from the Eagle's nest, Ghal Maraz in hand into the Greenskin horde) and possibly the Siege of Middenheim - hope so as I truly love the Sigmar trilogy. Gerreon's duel with Pendrag and Cormac Bloodaxe ascending to Daemonhood with the defenders vomiting blood and dropping dead at the unholy sight is truly awesome.
I turned my nose up at Total Warhammer for years because I didn't think of it is a right and proper Total War game but got 1 and 2 during a flash sale. Now I'm hooked, I even looked up Kings and Generals Warhammer to see if they did a thing since they usually make videos with the Total War engine anyways. My prayers are answered!

Absolutely amazing, stellar, words can not describe the happiness this video brings. Warhammer fantasy lore is a goldmine of potential and have always pondered why no one ever took a crack on its stories. Warhammer 40K is also similar but with fantasy not having as many creators to make the as the quality battle, story, and lore you produce it in, there is certainly no competition. Can not wait to see more of the rise of Sigmar!!!!

I am a long time follower of "Kings and Generals" too and I am quite atuned to the narator Devin's immersive naration, and some minor hiccups but this one made me laugh. I am not familiar with the world of War Hammer, but I liked the video non the less. Good job everyone !

You know what is the best battle from Warhammer Fantasy to cover up in the future? Tamurkhan’s invasion on Nuln. The most epic battle in this universe with very detailed description and a lot of action.

I know it's better for you guys to do these popular series and their battles, but I would be pretty interesting to see some Malazan Book of The Fallen or First Law (especially battle of The Heroes) battles.
The Chain of Dogs would be absolutely amazing.
The battles in Miles Cameron's The Red Knight might also be good, some are very detailed with clear progression.

Love all of your channels and I am a longtime fan, I have watched all of your videos. Keep up the good work! Warhammer 30k and the Horus Heresy can be adapted to a lore series of its own - 18 episodes at least (one for each of the known primarchs' point of view) and I am saying at least, because the events themselves cover a lot more. Would LOVE to see the Heresy in a lot of detail. Man, so much lore happening at once, I am not sure if this will ever get screenplayed, so I guess you guys are our best bet :) ... (hopefully) so far.
Your channel is of one the stuff that is making my hobbies and interests so wholesome, i cant even begin to explain it. Huge history buff, so naturally subbed on Kings and Generals for quite some time now, but this, this is whole another level!
Firstly LotR my biggest obsession, then i started watching Witcher series, and with your videos of Nilgardian invasions, made it so much better, with small easter eggs lets say, and finally WH fantasy, my freakin love!

This channel is the coolest shit ever! My one biggest wish though would be to cover a battle from the Lost Fleet series. Any battle, they're all excellent. Except maybe the first two which are basically intros to relativistic physics. I know it's not a widely known setting but it makes every other sci-fi battle look like they're written by kids playing around with toy ships.
I love how pendrag wields his elven made blade in the image you made. Quite the attention to details.

@@joshuacrawford6748 it might work better in the historical games, your not gonna have a dragon flying over your frontlines to attack your ranged or artillery pieces, but barring the monsters, which could very well be replaced by larger beasts of war such as elephants, and flying units, the rest can be juryrigged into fantastical battle scenarios.

Strange choice. This battle is mostly obscure compared to sigmar's more iconic battles like black fire pass or nagash and drakenfels. This was not even described anywhere except the legend of sigmar novels. But I can see why you would want to cover his origin story, just not sure if it deserved an entire episode. But excellent quality as always.

@@inkjazz if this was gonna focus on tw3, then this would be a daemon based series, preferably the archaon saga or throne of chaos/storm of chaos series. Not one focused on sigmar.

I am not sure what was Sigmar thinking. His tactic is very bad. One of his peerles fellow dies because of his mistake and he lack of proper leadership. Also he lost half of his army. He can encircle the orcs with the trops across the bridge am i wrong ?
There was almost 2k orcs vs the little he had, the men from the bridge was just 50 men.

Can’t say enough how pleased I am to for you guys to reach Warhammer. I’m sure there’s more to come with Total War: Warhammer III nearly upon us.
Here’s the thing about Sigmar’s history when he’s a man: it’s before the Empire is founded and thousands of years before the “current” timeline that the Total War series is based off of.
With this said you can’t really use Total War: Warhammer footage for this series so I really liked the new 3D modeling used for character close ups like Sigmar, his father and his companions.
