My dad was a sparky for 45 years we all worked for my uncles building business, i worked with my dad towards the end of his retirement before that i just did a bit of everything, i loved running cables for my dad and connecting sockets and lights, but this is now next level stuff you guys are awesome the regs now are so unbelievable. We also did the electrics in railway arches mostly london but even as far as Bath i loved doing the arches, that was 3 phase.
MANY years ago in the fairly early days of cordless tools I worked in a job where we needed a cordless grinder, I contacted DeWalt who said they couldn't see the need and battery life would be an issue, Makita didn't reply. I went to Milwaukee and they already had a cordless polisher that was basically an angle grinder (same spindle thread) but without the extra bits needed for a grinder so they added those bits and sent it to us, worked great, fast forward to today........ We probably had the first and only cordless grinder in the world at that time.

NYM's the German equivalent of T&E (grey sheath, indoor-use only), NYY is what you're using. Black UV-resistant sheath, rated for direct burial in Germany. Then there's Austrian E-YY, which is basically the same but with thinner insulation, i.e. nicer to use but not easy to find. Obviously all EU cables have a sheathed, full-sized CPC (OK, Norway is the only exception, they don't even use earth sleeving).
Twin and Earth clipped outside is a no no anyway, because the sleeving isn't UV protected. It breaks down under sunlight. You either trunk it or use armoured.
"Smokey, Charred and Horrible" rewired my last house, they used the earth conductor in twin and earth in a two-way light switch circuit instead of using triple and earth. I hate it when people run cables on outside walls just because they're lazy. I live in a terraced house and neighbours have all sorts of wires, satellite dish, phone, TV aerial, internet all cluttering up their walls. One house even has a copper gas pipe from cellar to bedroom running up the outside wall.
@14:00 the word you want is 'hangry' Scolmore's PRW213 is very similar to that Crabtree 2167 50A Pull switch but has two screws per live terminal. You'll never go back to square!
So forget electrics for a moment Cory what guitar is that as it looks smaller than a standard acoustic perfect for trips to the beach and lay overs in travel lodges 🤣

They already do across most of Europe but most of these connectors only take solid wires and only up to two of them, so the UK manufacturers probably would have to come up with their own version, or you'd have to use more Wago connectors behind accessories. The Germans have mostly switched to 60 mm deep(!) back boxes to accommodate several 2.5 mm cables and Wago connectors. Regular ones over there are 45 mm deep, those sockets do take up a bit of space.
