Dressing. I accidentally figured out my mom's secret ingredient 20 years after she passed away. I only learned it because I accidentally bought cream of celery and cream of mushroom instead of 2 cans of cream of mushroom. I nearly cried when that remembered flavor hit my mouth.
i know it was bomb! I added cream of celery and cream of chicken & mushroom soup to my dressing this past thanksgiving and when I say it was good it was GOOD. I know the feeling or recovering old recipes from our loved ones who has passed on. That's a beautiful memory for you to hold on to.
I already knew I would LOVE this video.... but the moment Aiden pauses to say he wants to get a kitchen towel.... and put it just like his dad my soul melted entirely lol
Wow! Mad respect for you! As they say in the South " you put your foot in dem greens!" How sweet of you to pay such close attention to your Mom-in-law and Auntie's recipes and do them proud by cooking up those amazing greens! 💖 You're a star! 🌟
Adam and Aden cooking Collard 🥬 Greens...love it!...Looks veryyyyyy delicious!Tamera has to be totally THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for a man that knows how to cook delicious Collard Greens 👍🏽!Love THE HOUSLEY LIFE🤗🤗🤗!
🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬 *Great positive quality cooking time. Only the Housleys can make a lil boy enjoying and loving cooking with his daddy. Also I said it before but I love how you don't insist on making every single thing from scratch. That's more realistic and reasonable*
🙋 Hello, Housley Family. NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE. 😄 Adam and Tamera, you and your family are doing real family life living (various ways of fun and precious family fellowship with kids crying, learning, laughing, and nose picking...lol) and I am loving and enjoying it all. 💜❤💙💛👍😄
I use pickled jalapeños to add that vinegar flavor to make the greens pop more and add a couple of teaspoons of white vinegar to tenderize the greens. It makes a big difference to the flavor and texture.
Aden n Arian is so adorable and I luv me some collard greens my daughter loves them so much she told my granny all she wanted from her for Christmas was to make her her own pot of greens and my granny did lol😂😂
The only thing different that I would have done was to cook the salt pork (fat back) and other seasonings in the broth until really tender, at least 1 hour ahead of time, then add the greens.
I love the Housley family. I could watch them every day if they came on. Adam can cook and throw down in the kitchen. You should check out his Mac and cheese video with the kids. Those greens look so flavorful and good. I am going to cook some. Great, Great, Great job!
Wow! I am so proud of Adam right now. He did not shy away from that fatback. And since he said that they have Collard Greens around 5 or 6 times a year. That sounds like New Years, Easter,Thanksgiving,Christmas and just because.. Yes! I am loving this. My favorite family recipe is Corn Pudding. OK! I am cooking myself some greens tonight.
Not going to lie, when I saw Callard Greens🥬 I was like whattt!? I am Southern, this is a huge stample in African-American and Southerners of White and all backgrounds comfort foods. Great job !
Our family cook greens and cornbread at least once a week. Add a bay leaf. Gives it a nice flavor along with the garlic. The liquid that you can drink is called pot liquor. Luv u guys.
I'm from the south and that pot liquor that you keep pouring off has all kinds of nutrients and vitamins. Make some cornbread and dip it in the juice (aka) pot liquor. Delicious! Thanks for sharing, i am going to find that greens seasoning.
Yummy Yummy!! Going to try to make this dish soon. Have to buy all the ingredients and spices first. Thanks for showing us how to make Collard greens! So nice to have Aden cooking with you today. The kids love to help you guys in the kitchen which is a good thing for sure!!😁😀💞🌟⭐
Alright Housley!! You better cook some greens! 👏🏽👏🏽 Also y’all should do a history on greens and how it became a staple within black culture/soul food. It is really interesting!
I know that you are a journalist but you are so comfortable in the kitchen it’s looks like you are also a real chef 👩🍳 I like watching you cook and your children are so cute. Beautiful Family
Basically I use almost the same ingredients, but instead of jalapeño I use red pepper flakes and instead of pork or any meat I use liquid smoke. Also, I don’t drain off my vegetables broth, I let it cook down with the greens. Now I want to make greens. 😂
Those collard greens look fantastic! Definitely going to try the recipe myself! My boss has become like family over the years and she makes the most amazing brownies. Before her mother passed away, she gave her the recipe, but she won't share it with anyone else. I would do anything to get my hands on that recipe!
Wow love the looks of those collard greens so fresh. Recipe similar to what I cook except use turkey with the taste of the salt pork 😋. And eat with mustard potato salad. Adam you and Aden are becoming chefs. Delicious 😋🤤. Love watching 🙂❤.
Adam is a great dad, he loves his children and a great husband he loves us wife. And he is Smart, intelligent, wise, respectful, a bursting personality. Those Greens look delicious,, We may see Adam on his own cooking show soon..😁✌🧡
Those greens look so good. I wish I had someone cooking some for me right now. To say you grow your own is magnificent. To hear that Aiden loves greens you don’t hear that often that kids loves greens. I know that house was smelling good. You are definitely making me hungry.

Aden, loves cooking. He will always have memories cooking with his parents.

So cute if you guys did a weekly family cooking show 💕
They kinda do on adams instagram
You don't hear people saying fat back these days, but that is what we called it coming up.
We call it fat back or side meat.
I use pickled jalapeños to add that vinegar flavor to make the greens pop more and add a couple of teaspoons of white vinegar to tenderize the greens. It makes a big difference to the flavor and texture.
They'll tender up without vinegar, just keep them on the eye longer.
Those greens look delicious! My husband is going to grow some greens in our garden too! I can't wait.
Great video! Dad and son. ❤❤
Greens period, try mustard and turnips mix. Cooked the same way. One recommendation, let meat cook some before adding greens.
Good job tapping😂😂😂 Ayden was watching his mommy😍 cook with all that tapping✌
That's how you cook them. I am impressed, Mr. Housley!!!!!!
Aden n Arian is so adorable and I luv me some collard greens my daughter loves them so much she told my granny all she wanted from her for Christmas was to make her her own pot of greens and my granny did lol😂😂
So nice son is cooking with Dad. Waiting to watch mom and daughter cooking. Both are fabulous !!
The only thing different that I would have done was to cook the salt pork (fat back) and other seasonings in the broth until really tender, at least 1 hour ahead of time, then add the greens.

Alright Housley!! You better cook some greens! 👏🏽👏🏽
Also y’all should do a history on greens and how it became a staple within black culture/soul food. It is really interesting!
It would be especially interesting since Tamera’s Black family isn’t African American.
I wonder who taught them, do they eat Greens in the Bahamas
@@charliehmmm9400 It was obvious they aren't African-American by this greens recipe lol
So attractive when a man cooks for his family. Can't wait to see my husband cook and sneaking away to be naughty before dinner! 😍
