@@556andy I believe Motley opened for Def. As is fitting in Sheffield. And also fitting for the rest of the tour because Def Leppard are a million times better.
Glad you liked it but personally I've no interest in seeing a band that a) doesn't actually play everything live b) treats it's only former credible 'musician' in such disdain and c) does a comeback tour just a few years after going so far as to make it legally binding NEVER to tour again which obviously was NOT a legal document and further proves that they are a completely 'Hollywood' fake and just like that other phony band KISS in it just for the money
Great set by BOTH bands? Really??? You must mean DL and Vivas, because I was there too, and Motley’s sound was horrendous: all bass and drum that drowned out any possible actual “music” that they may have had. It was literally painful. Anyone with a heart condition should skip it, seriously. I saw Crue’s own fans complaining and trying to plug their ears. So hey, MC sound tech, take note: just because you CAN go to 11, doesn’t mean you HAVE to!
So good to see them play their hometown. Thank you for posting this. I saw them in 1983 as high school kid on their US Pyromania tour. And they are still burning it down. Def Lep forever!
I wrote a newspaper article about these guys’ first album “On Through The Night” for my high school newspaper when they where virtually unknown in 1980. Most of the band members were in their late teens/early 20’s. Pretty amazing to see them still jamming now that they are basically old enough to start collecting social security….
I love how the first time you see Rick on the big screen he's smiling. He's often smiling, is our Rick. Very fond of him. I'm sure he's a really lovely chap to be around.
I was there that evening, the contrast between Crüe and Leppard was quite obvious, at least from my perspective. When the Crüe came to the stage at first, lots of people were still sitting there and acting like nothing’s happening, but when it came to the Leppard, the whole stadium was high as hell!!! This is the power of coming home! Sheffield!!!
I've seen them most everytime they came to Fla and now in North Carolina. I will see them again next time they are around the area. My most favourite band ever. Long live our Def Leppard❣ Def Leppard always n forever n forever n always ❤ They continue to rock us... and there will be a next time❣
Was there with my Bessie and we spent most of the early 90’s in Rebels in Sheffield listening to Leppard and The Crue along various other awesome bands. Was great to see the lads back home in Sheffield and at the Lane!….. Proud to be a Sheffielder!♥️🤘🏻
i was there down at the front it was my first ever live concert iv ever been to and it was to see 2 of my favourite bands of all time especially def leppard and it was amazing a experience ill never forget
I'll be seeing them here in the U.S. in El Paso, Texas on August 18th. I can't wait. I have not seen them live yet. Thanks for sharing!! Awesome video!! 🤘🤘🤘
You are going to love it so much it’s going to be hard to rewatch it on RUclips 😭 saw them last summer in the U.S. .. going again this summer !!! Have a blast!!
def leppard studio album today not rock!! but alive concerts!! still rocks!! i see def leppard argentina 9 march 2023, was amazing show!! def leppard forever!!
I had a brilliant time. The most fun I'd had since I seen them at don valley stadium all those year's ago. I'm writing this as love & hate collide is playing. I can still remember the first time I heard that. It was in the food court of meadowhall mall Sheffield, lol. They used to have that huge tv screen up that played mtv. I must've come downstairs from playing the arcades to eat some lunch. Fun little memory.😂
i dint see them this time but have seen them since 1987 so thanx for saving me loads o money - btw gona see HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES IN SCARBOROUGH SOON tickets fo them were £57
Weird observation: Their staging appears to be set up in different five-a-side soccer formations. The pyramid, the diamond, the Y, the box...that cannot be a coincidence.
This is my wife Dorothy. My name is Richard. Would you like to come to our bungalow tonight for a hard boiled egg and some white bread? We will treat you well x
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed Vivas and Def were amazing. Could not like Mötley Crüe - I'm not a metal head. They do have songs I like, but the sound in the stadium was not set up for them... it was all distorted.
Are they mannequins in the audience?? You'd think a homecoming crowd would be more enthusiastic!! Can't wait for Sydney, we'll give you a proper welcome 🤘🤘
The Winter Solstice is 21st/22nd December (shortest day of the year) & onwards from that day the days start drawing out (getting longer) incrementally. Then in March, in 2023 it was the 23rd of March the clocks go forward. So what was previously for example 8pm becomes 9pm (everyone alters their clocks, adding an hour). On the longest day (most hours of daylight) which is 20-22 June the days will begin shortening again. As an example if it were a sunny summers day, (no cloud) on the 15th June or July 10th (random days in summer). It can still be daylight at 10pm (but will soon get dark when sun goes down after 10pm). So for this gig on the 22nd May on a clear sunny day (not cloudy that will make it darker), yes still daylight at 9pm (just). On Monday 22nd May in Sheffield it was a warm sunny day, no cloud. In winter the clocks are altered again, going back, near very end of October). Approx 30mins into the video you can see the daylight has dropped off. It says in the news they were due on at 8.45pm, so 9.15pm getting dark. Also with cameras, phones and their light sensitivity they can make a scene look a little brighter in low level light than it actually is.
I’m sorry but Def Leppard’s music now sounds like a few kids putting something together. Losing Steve Clark really hurt this band as he was the song writer, riftmaster this is why everything after adrenalize has a different sound just same vocals but not the original Def Leppard style. Hard to repeat success and this is why most of the songs you hear them play on tour are the songs written by Steve as they were pretty much all hits and what sold their albums. Rip Riftmaster!
I know they've chosen Bramall Lane being Sheffield United fans, but it is ONLY for this reason as it's a shed of a stadium. Nobody would play there unless Sheffield United fans.
As a Fan who Likes the First 2 Albums the Most, but Likes Hysteria Style also, i Must Say that the First Song is Not Bad at all, Kick is Not so good and i miss at least let it Go or Rock Brigade of something else from the early Days.

Can’t wait for their July 4th Dublin gig - ☘️💕😊🙏🇮🇪

You Can’t really compare the two dude 🤔

HA!

They sold out to the Illuminati. Did I see Joe Elliot doing the devil's horns during the concert?
