What actually ended up causing the problem here? Like what component? Still struggling with it...
Iam facing the same problem my touch bar is not turning on with critical update but my laptop can launch into safe mode if the t1 chip is the problem how much would it be thanks for your help
The T1 usually wouldn't fail, but the signal or power line to it usually does, is you have a donor I may be able to guide you on what to do

Would these issues be fixable via a fresh install of MacOS or is this a board leave repair? An uncle of mine is having the same issue…
If it’s software related , then a fresh installation of macOS will fix the issue, the troubleshooting has to be done to verify the cause
