There's a reason why Brentford and Brighton are such incredibly well run clubs.
When it comes to betting, there's Benham and Tony Bloom and then there's everyone else. They're in a completely different league to anyone else on the planet and they carried their methods and strategies over to owning and running football clubs.

You should make a video about what to do when your on a bit of a losing streak. Do you carry on and wait for the tide to turn, take a break or maybe do something different. It can be very frustrating and it's the one thing I really hate about gambling

Just change your betting strategy when on a losing streak, by backing and laying in running. It will clear your head. Remember Variance applies to everything. Winning streaks and losing streaks have a high percentage of variance built in. Just my opinion, but it works for me.

Why the American spin on the video with use of dollars and franchise style 'Brentford Bees' name tag?
Interesting stuff though, I wonder what the honest % chance he places on Brentford surviving in the Prem next season.
Given their success in recent years it seems amazing that no other clubs appear to have taken a similar approach, especially in the Championship. Even if you don't end up being promoted and build a secure base in the Prem, the ability to polish a gem once every other season would be an absolute game changer for all clubs, banking £20m in the process and potentially securing the long term existence of the club.

When he does decide to hang the gloves up I've no doubt he will make sure the club is in good hands and probably provide his smartodds software for the new owner to continue his success. He's turned down a lot of previous interest in buying shares in the club from rich Chinese investors.

This is the future of football. ⚽️ and it only benefits everyone as it gives less prominent players more of a chance to make it onto bigger stages and gives more young players a chance, as well as giving smaller clubs more cash and thus better and players which means more competition in football.

A good bet would be Brentford to stay up.
It was harder in the championship because youre limited to a small transfer budget each season with fair play rules, his model will actually work better in the premier League.

Bonkers considering xG is the biggest load of absolute tripe in football and has no relevance whatsoever on the outcome of a football match
Last season just 32% of teams with the highest xG won across the top 5 leagues
xG is so flawed its ridiculous.

    • @SL0409
      @SL0409 3 года назад +1

xG doesn't take into consideration defender or goalkeeper position. It doesn't take any notice of the player
Like kane/lewandowski shooting from 10 yards has the exact same xG as some donkey like Che Adams or Andre grey shooting from the same position
Raheem Sterling's horror miss v Lyon in the champions league went down as a 48% chamce to be scored.
That itself is absolute bullshit because any Sunday league player would score that 90% of the time. It was an horrific miss and to be 48% to be scored and 52% to be missed is laughable

He loaned a club 700k with the agreement that if they couldn't pay it back (he knew they would never pay it back) he could buy the club.
He made his money from a football club being promoted to the richest league in world football.
They were promoted to the championship in 2015 and it took them until 2021 to be promoted to the premier league so it took 6 years for all this analytical bollocks to come to fruition. Sheff utd went from league 1 to premiership in 2 seasons after back to back promotions just playing football.
xG is the biggest load of absolute bollocks in football and its staggering someone with your knowledge actually gives it any relevance
All xG does is tell you a % of the amount of times a shot from that same position has resulted in a goal.
It doesn't take players stronger!/weaker foot into consideration, it doesn't take defender/goalkeeper positioning into consideration. It doesn't take height off the ground into consideration.
Let's say City have tore a team open and debruyne has played it across goal for aguero to score an open goal from 10 yards out.
xG puts it at say 48% chance of a goal because of where the ball was on the pitch
Now let's say aguero shoots from the exact same spot but there is a defender in front of him and a goalkeeper that chance still goes down as a 48% chance of a goal
So open goal from 10 yards and a defender and goalkeeper to beat from 10 yards has the exact same % of being scored according to xG because its just an historical % of goals scored from that position
Also what historical data is it? Is it from every football game ever played on a football pitch? No it isn't? Is it from every league in world football? No it isn't
Its all a load of bollocks.
Every football match is a random 90 minute event. No past result has any relevance on future results.
What the 2 teams do on the day is all that matters.
Basing any relevance on xG data for the outcome of future games is beyond laughable.
The guys made most his money from getting premier league clubs to massively overpay for championship players.
Maupay and Watkins goals to shots ratios are horrific. The chances both players miss is horrendous.
According to xG Brighton should have finished 4th last season but they barely survived relegation because the only thing that matters is the quality of player
Brighton have horrific finishers and no amount of xG % is changing that.

    • @SL0409
      @SL0409 3 года назад

If xG has any relevance to the results of football matches then why do only 1 in 3 teams with the highest xG win games?
Infogol are an xG app and every single tip they give is based on xG data and their results in the last 2 seasons have been absolutely horrific
The local piss head blind picking a random result would probably have a better ROI

There are B.A. undergrad programs in physics for students seeking a foundation in physics but who typically don't go on to become physicists. Oxford does offer a physics B.A.
