- This fully fully fully restored Series 2a Land Rover is nothing short of spectacular. The restoration done by Rob at Steve Toyer Ltd in Cornwall over thousands of hours really sets this car apart from the other restored Landy's we see come through our doors. Absolutely everything is perfect, just like the day she left the factory - although this time she's driving out of our factory as a fully electric vehicle!
This EV conversion costs £29,000 + VAT. Get in touch on our website to find out more about this conversion or the other cars that we've done!

Fantastic job from both parties - superb restoration and conversion!
Thank you Jerome! We always appreciate your kind comments!!
Amazing job. I love how you respond to people who think that this is not a good idea and it takes away the character of the car. It does not. It improves it in a massive way. In terms of convenience, reliability, performance, and efficiency. This is really the future. The only barrier that is obvious, is price. And evaluation of the price for an old car. But otherwise, this will be mainstream by 2030.
We're so glad you see this the way that we do - and you're not alone, its the minority of people who don't quite understand this concept, and thats not something that keeps us up at night!
Love it! Hate those comments about character. My argument is the car scene in Cuba. Some of the most amazing 50s American cars not one of them with the original engine. The use diesel boat motors anything to get the car moving!! We’re just lucky enough to have electric motors!
Exactly, these beautiful cars very often have awful engines, unless it was a car that was built for its engine (Ferrari, Porsche etc), but these Land Rovers, like 50's American cars are not known for their engines that's for sure!
Love it totally awesome guys looks amazing ❤
Thanks a lot!
Inspiring my conversion here in Colombia with yours !! Beautiful car
The car is fantastic, but can you sort out the audio? 📢
How do you address accessories (power breaks etc)?
Hello small question did you the same axel ?
Yes the axles are original
Would you make these conversion kits for the Rover P4?
No sorry, it's only Landys we do now! Silent Classics will help you I'm sure.
love the videos. but please adjust the sound levels
Nice work! What is the top cruising speed when switching to electric? Since you're using the original gear box and transfer case is it relatively the same or are you able to reach higher speeds?
So the motor can spin up to 8000RPM and its going through the original gear ratios, so I'll let you do the maths, but it's very fast! You just need a long runway to find out! They very easily sit at 60 but we don't go much more than that because its still an old land rover thats not very good at steering or stopping!
If every single part is brand new - that's not a restoration, it's just been built. Best take it to the DVLA for an IVA !
It stops being Trigger's Broom if you replace the Handle and the Head at the same time.
The original vehicle could still be fully assembled somewhere.
All new... including the now pending 'Q' plate.....
When I say all parts are new, I mean all parts are entirely rebuilt. IE the gearbox is the same casing but its been shot blasted, new gears inside, new bearings, new selectors etc etc etc - so forgive me!
