Hey thanks. I really stressed over clipping out sections of jury instructions, but decided in the end that no one likes sitting through that, even when you're in the jury box.
Not surprised it was a not guilty with how the prosecutor was talking to the defendant. She was so over dramatic and asking the dumbest questions about if he was sad or not.
One thing I've realized watching trials, whether you're working for the state or the defendant, if you're not likeable to the jury or it looks as tho you're bullying witnesses, victims, or defendants, it doesn't go well.
The prosecutor got rather silly at times and I was glad when Judge Simpson told her to move on. The wife was a cheater and wanted her boyfriend to work in their business alongside her husband? What kind of thing is that to do? I believe the wife was the primary aggressor here. As soon as I heard the judge ask him how far it was he went to get away from her, that this was going to be not guilty. I think he said something about his beliefs and divorce and he at least, has grounds for divorce based on that. The defense attorney did a great job on this case.
This is a case where the Prosecutor couldn't see the forest because of the tree's. The Prosecutor seemed to feel like she had to maintain the narrative of the Defendant being a abuser through any way she could except through the evidence she had to work with. Her " oh really " cross examination of the Defendant was ludicrous.
This prosecutor quite thoroughly embarrassed herself with her entire line of questioning related to the “scholar” quip. She seemed to have been doing everything in her power to antagonize the defendant, in order to get a rise out of him, but only managed to annoy Judge Simpson and probably also the jury.
It was interesting to see these attorneys in a trial situation, after seeing them so often in simpler hearings. Prosecutor was strangely pushy and dramatic, maybe trying to get Del to react angrily. I was surprised that Ms. Pereny didn't start objecting. Judge Simpson had to jump in. Really glad this case worked out the way it did. Thanks for the video!

No documentation of injuries, no video, no witness, and the complainant wasn't even the one to call the police. She changed her story twice to the authorities, plus she has an underlying agenda for having her husband charged and found guilty.
