This is more like 10 most crazy 3-wheeled vehicles with one exception.
Oh wow! I recognize where they shot that segway video. That's the Manchester NH airport. I used to work there back when it still looked like that. They've renovated since then and this is an amazing flashback.
The Elio looks like a regular cheap car that tried to be a spaceship and failed miserably.
In the other hand Vanderhall Laguna just nailed it. The vehicle looks classy, reliable and comfortable.
As a motorcycle mechanic who works at a dealership that used to sell vanderhalls, I can say DO NOT BUY THEM. Cracked chassis after 1k miles, abs stop working at 100. Never seen one go 80 miles without coming back for something. The company doesn’t communicate and doesn’t even have a service manual. The harness is chopped from a chevy.

It's DAMN UGLY.I'm sick of this stupid,angled design in everything,more so in buildings and cars.
Best designed is the decorated curvy one of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
It'st stupid.Plastic all round,no windsheild,exposed to rain,dust,can't heat yourself,can't listen to music etc.
It just looks like a trycicle with plastics and an engine.

It's the most fun you can have within the speed limit, especially on a twisty road. Put a huge smile on my face. On the other hand, it's surprisingly slow. A Maxima or Camry will leave it eating dust.
Seriously though, so much fun. I was laughing the entire time.

An old driver friend of mine told me that the best road you've traveled on is the one that when you've finished your journey you feel like a sense of achievement and for me it was two roads, one was as coach driver going to loch carron and the other was the whole of Skye

This amazing vehicle shows very important features to car builders and manfacturer´s like: electronic stability control , coil over gas-filled shocks, sway bar, improved power steering plus premium wheel set. Now imagine a 1968 Ford Mustang GT-390 Fastback "Bullitt" V8 with these new features...

1-4 I could dig. But man that is a lot of new 3 wheel vehicles coming out. I can see some of these being popular in Japan and others in Europe. I actually talked to a guy with a panam pulling a custom trailer. His could seat two. Just him and his wife exploring the country. Looked fun.
I'm currently considering either the Slingshot, or the Vanderhall... and weighing these against possibly a vintage Mini, Sprite, or midget. It has to fit into the back of a toy hauler (weight wise as well). All are 1775lbs or lighter. There is also the issue of price, canyon drive ability, and the possibility of using it for "track days". I'd love to have the Vanderhall though. It looks amazing!

Put a larger/tune up the engine in a Sprite, and improve the brakes and suspension too.
@@timothydraper3687 .. a larger engine means more weight. Every pound counts in a toy hauler. Tune, breaks and suspension are all a given. I love the look of the Bug Eye/frog eye Sprite, but such vehicles require a roll cage for track days... again adding weight. A Mini seems the most practical. Also the shortest at 10.5 feet

I was in Vegas last week and there's a place where you could rent the vanderhall for the weekend and take it to various places around Vegas. It's a pretty cool vehicle. Unfortunately, because I was there on business, I wasn't able to take advantage of that opportunity.

The Elio, really? I know a guy who pre-ordered one of those and the delivery has been delayed by three years now, I hear there's even a lawsuit being cooked up, don't count on them ever reaching the market.

I installed an aftermarket stereo in a slingshot. It was a Kenwood marine stereo with touch screen. I did a great job and the jerk did not take me for a ride. That was all asked for. I did not ask to drive it. I would have gladly taken the ride for a payment. He gave me £100 instead.
The most of these cars are derivations from the original Morgan 3 Wheeler even there is an electric Morgan. The Elio is directly a Messerschmitt.

Any three wheels configuration with 2 front and one in the back automatically refers to the clasic Morgan. Any car made after 1932 is based on him, want it or not.
Why I don believe the same about de original Benz? well, 4 wheels is the most common configuration.

Good luck, you will need it with those pieces of shit. Do some research, eangine life, things falling off, and especially the 90 degree drive units that transfer the drive to the rear wheel. Big difference between desire and reality.

Hum wonder if people realize a lot of these 3 wheeled things are made like that so they can register as motorcycles and avoid needing all the standard crash testing and safety gear. No airbags they dont need abs no crash testing at all. All the downsides of a car and none of the safety. Seems at least a couple of them use pretty basic motorcycle engines but weigh four times as much as a bike. The small electrics are kind of neat but cost is too much for what you get.
It is very nice and It is better than a car 4 wheels . there is only one rear wheel so it changes direction easily, and rubber tyre will not being wrong by overheat

my vote is number 9. cheap, comfortable, USA made, safe. still in development though so I am hoping that they keep going and make it. the others are either open to the environment, expensive, not fuel efficient, or some combination of the 3. still really cool looking videos of those vehicles. I like the number 1. really nice and powerful looking with a lot of capabilities
That Elio has always been in "Development". It never reaches production but money is being taken for reserving but nothing delivered. I looked at this 10 years ago at least!
The Elio has been in "development" for decades. In shape it is the only one that can actually be used as a commuter vehicle, ie enclosed all weather. But they have changed from a gas driven 300+ mile car to another useless electric mini-scooter sitting in the driveway because you can't risk running out of charge on a trip. These people, ALL of the EV idjits, simply can't understand that the people that need the "efficient" commuter are the ones that do NOT live-in the actual city/urban zone. "Commuters" by definition are those that live outside and "commute". Just makes you sad at the lack of intelligence.
