it was a legal action, but not in the spirit of the game...but still wins a win🤣🤣🤣
Yes true
The collar in rugby symbolizes "gentleman". It's a win but not very gentlemen of him.
Its a sport about sportsmanship so no
So does this like never happen? Would there be price to pay next time they play sort of like unwritten rules in baseball?
@@jrose7381 nope some people will just look at it as immature play
No different than playing the ball slowly with a minute left on the clock.. all is fine.
I think it’s a little different, playing the ball slow still allows the opponent to try and get a interception. Running it all the way back doesn’t give an opponent any opportunity. Pedantic man
@@cartyrdeyager3283 what??? That's exactly how you run down the clock in American football.
You run the ball. You don't pass when you're trying to run down the clock. Like, ever. Clock stops at incompletions, chance to turn over, passing plays take less time, ect.
@@cartyrdeyager3283 Umm...Doesn't give the opponent an opportunity ? Yeah that's the point in sports, not to give your opponents opportunities to score while you and your team work together to give opportunities for yourselves to score not the opponent. This is sports not charity.

Trent’s furious that won’t end careers. Like friend, keary, coydner teddy
Anyone wondering, its 5th (green at top at start) so a move forward into tackle is a change of possession, and a kick or pass is a potential turnover. He’s running back to burn clock while trying to prevent any late game heroics after the turnover.
Oh in American football they have a term called, "taking a knee". The game clock constantly runs unless a foul, a runner ran out of bounds, or a timeout has been called. So if the defensive team has no remaining timeouts, the ball is snapped and instantly kneeled, or put out of play. You can only do this in the last 2 minutes and if the defensive team has no timeouts, since that is the time limit the offensive team has to start a play. I guess they put that rule in exactly to stop people from running needlessly in an apparently erratic manner to the outside viewer lol
Thanks
So basically wasting time? Shouldn't that be a foul? In football they get a yellow card for that
@@graceyudha yellow card for wasting time? Oh boy you would be disappointed watching brazilian leagues 🤣

Ryan Hall did this for Hull KR against Leigh last night, just not as far. Kills time at the end of the game and the other team can’t score…. Winning the game is what it’s about, well done Sam Walker, genius move.

@@gianlucatomasello9492 it's NRL and he did it to stall for time. In rugby league any stoppage of play after the siren goes, other than a penalty finishes the game.

Literally this is done in American football pretty frequently to run out the clock on the final play.
It depends on the down but usually they just go into victory formation
@@wea_lodd9961 fair enough but, depending on whether the other teams has a timeout to burn it is usually smart on fourth down with some time remaining if the opposition has a timeout to just burn the clock so the play doesnt end
I thought it would be similar, they could have had a drop kick shot at goal to add points but there could have been a chance the other side could get possession and run it down for a score. But interestingly NFL has the opportunity to drop kick as well, but its rarely used
walker was running scared 🤣😂🤣

*Hey, to you reading* ... you are loved in this moment, just as you are, here's how we know:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This is no more unsportsmanlike than going to ground. Just riskier.
NRL should stop these kind of plays. It not professional. They have to come up, you have to finish the play or take the tackle.
It's to run the clock down
I mean essentially you see the same thing in Basketball. You’d be foolish to not run the clock down if you have a lead. Yes some may see this as disrespectful but others see this as playing a game of chess. Each to their own. End of the day, he secured 2 points. Don’t think any Roosters fans will complain about that
