- People spend most of their time planning their wedding more than planning their marriage. This was not the case with The Makhs. After 18months of pre-marital counselling, we walked into our marriage with the confidence that we had done our due diligence and smooth sailing awaited. Little did we know that half the conversations that we should've had were never put on the agenda. So here are 5 things we wish we knew before getting married.

So my supervisor asked me one today if my husband and I get along after 20 plus years of marriage. My answer was I like the guy ... so we get along just fine... she looked at me with such a surprise and said what you meant by liking him ? aren’t in love with him ? I said yes love him .. but liking him get us through a lot of hurdles Yes it important to like your partner.

I would like to share that my hubby lost his job few weeks after we got married, hence it's extremely important to marry for love coz money is not guaranteed to be there. We had extra income nton nton but covid happened and that was also cut. Hence Love must be there otherwise we wouldn't have survived

1. Knowing the purpose of your marriage might be helpful. My experience is that you are evolving, and the purpose of your marriage will evolve with your evolution as individuals and as a couple. Flexibility is key for me.
2. Sex. Talk about it. Talk about your experiences, beliefs, questions. It's not as easy as you say. Lots of things affect how much sex happens in a relationship. We need to be more open about these.
3. Fight. I wouldn't use that word.
Agree on finances and communication.
