As someone who’s lost a loved one to cancer, the “I don’t want to die” stuff really hit me in the feels. The idea that you will die really soon and you can’t do anything about it is terrifying. I wish anyone who’s experienced this, knows someone who’s experienced it, or is experiencing it right now happiness n their life and any life they may have.

Me immediately realizing Lauren's character was chronically ill. The exhaustion from just a short outing the day before and the feeling nauseated ,drowsy, or dizzy when you're hungry. The understanding the feeling of people who are suffering knowing they are going to die soon. We understand the dread because it feels like we're dying constantly but slowly. It completely broke my heart watching this character with a terminally ill but still fairly physically abled one.
The reason the character was dizzy is because they hadn't eaten in days, the character was meant to struggle with major depression

I confirm it's either (autistic) burn out or depression with severe anxiety. I know many people with mental disorder (like depression, anxiety, PTSD or burn out, for example) who have exactly the same mind set as the main character. Except getting outside doesn't miraculously heal us. It takes time, love, care and help from others. Just like he did for her, and just like she did for him.

I'm a few minutes in and oh god i am terrified of what will happen in this game. I was at a point in life where i was panicked at the thought of death, paralyzed. This game, the thoughts of that mushroom, it all hits way too close to home, i feel horriblle about her dying so soon.

The part where he conforts her pannic attack strike me hard, because I had the exact same panic attack like six month ago and my rommate with severe depression had to be the one staying awake at night while I was puking my anxiety out. I'm healthy, I won't die anytime soon, I'm not terminally ill, but I just had realization about death and it's implication throught grief and I'm starting to feel better after like two years of non-stop anxiety.
