I just found you and you have the accent you’d expect watching early grind hard videos. You also are or have done the things I have been thinking since buying and fixing up a go kart for my 8 year old. Please turbo that small diesel cause that’s been my thought for building my first ground up kart for myself. Like I have seen guys do it with mowers, but I want to try it with that exact 196 cc Amazon diesel. Get some affiliate links too so I can give you a kickback if you do.
There have been a few people to turbo the 196cc diesel but they were vague on fueling and whether it actually made anymore power. A lot of people say single cylinder engines just don’t have enough flow to produce boost but it would be interesting to try out. Red beard’s garbage was one of the channels that had tried it.
The Yanmar version has the decompression switch in the exhaust valve not the intake so the Yanmar clone engines this is not an issue, but that looks like a design fault. I was looking at those little unit but because I can’t get an injection pump for it I’ll get the gasser.
@@jwsbackyard6413 I was thinking about the decompressor getting the air filter dirty & realized it's not. Anything that comes back up the intake already got filtered, so it's not actually dirty, it's just oily. Oiling an air filter makes it filter better, generally, so it's like a filter-oiling-system.
The soot from the combustion is what makes its way back up to the filter. The filter was caked up with so much soot air flow was severely restricted and it was smoking way more.
Now that you have pointed this out I'm going to buy one of these diesels and only shut it off with the compression release.
That’s usually what gets most people motivated
My only plan to shut off my diesel mini bike is to use the decomp lever. It’s $150. I’ll just go buy a predator if it messes it up

This Chinese engine will run in reverse.
I'm suprised the intake pushrod doesn't fall loose when using the decompressor!
Yeah I’ve been trying to figure that one out to. I’m going to have to look into how it’s designed a little more or see if it’s retained somehow.

@@jwsbackyard6413 shit, sorry, I didn't consider the remainder from the previous cycle. I guess that soot is all microscopic particles of a lubricant.
@@jwsbackyard6413how about soot on the valve seat build up
Don't buy chinese
Don't buy shit manufactured under capitalism. That crap is manufactured under the profit motive. Get real, man.
