that is how humbleness comes with power. Does not matter physical power, mental, knowledge whatever. If you know what you are capable of, no reason remains to show off to other people. Just look at how McGregor barked to Khabib. What Khabib did? He kept his silence and proved himself within octagon.
Those people do not have to prove sth. to anybody, so if someone is humble that means not he is weak :)
6:28 when Toots lost, he didn't even hesitate to encourage his opponent to win. He knew he was done, but he took those seconds to root for Heinla. That's true sportsman.
You'll see this in World strongman too. For having the ability to crush your skull with one hand, these guys are some of the nicest and most supportive people around.

Most people have no idea how truly amazing these feats of strength actually are. Also, the deadlift is truly the king of compound exercises for a reason.
Even if I got the muscles, I've not the bones, the technique, decision and courage, truly strong mens there.

I think what he’s trying to say is that these guys trained to lift for competitions while body builders train to build a better physical self image which can have the side effect of inflating their ego.
Rauno was on a 747 airline flight home when the airplane got a flat on the runway. Not wanting to be late returning home, he offered to hold the plane up while crew repaired the flat. It was a difficult repair because they couldn't stop him from repping it.....

Tbh none are probably actually stronger in these specific events at the time but yea absolutely there are absolutely people who can and will be stronger than them, the genetic diversity of the world although not as diverse as it technically should be is still good enough to give us people who can barely lift light dumbbells when they start training to dudes who can bench 100's for reps first time, it's incredible

What I absolutely love about this competition is the incredible sportsmanship, where no one says that they are the best. Everyone is humble.
People here are funny, and nice.
That couldn't be said for any other sport I think.
In climbing, people are very (generally) too.

I just watched the worlds strongest in the USA and there were about 2 hundred people in the stands, nice to see the support these European guys get.

Pa O'Dwyer looked way stronger in this comp than we've seen him in awhile I feel like. Awesome work from everyone. Hixxy getting a podium finish with that groin injury is awesome.

The WSM roster isnt the same for long. These men train and lift beyond what normal humans are capable of. Its expected that they'll eventually get exhausted and injured.

I felt the same way back in the late 90s/early 2000s as the Magnuses, Badenhorst, Karlsen and others retired and gave way to new competitors. The lifecycle of a competitive strongman is indeed short.

A lot of the strongest guys I trained with peaked in their early 20’s. It’s inspiring seeing rauno pull this kind of weight at 39.
Heinla and Hicks were firing on all cylinders. 💪🏋🏼♂️ 💯
In the realization of their immense potential and strength these humble men found the virtue of humility.
These people are insane. They are performing several reps of possibly the most dangerous exercise with hundreds of kilos. Their form is not even good but they are doing it for the competition and to prove something. I just hope they never suffer any severe low back issue because that can turn their lives into the most insufferable and miserable hell there is. Some people literally start counting the hours before going to sleep because of how exhausting it is to tolerate that pain throughout the day. Nothing but admiration for these giants risking it all.

Just watching them deadlift 793 lbs breaks every bone in my body and causes multiple organ failures, lol. Hopefully, the guy that lifted 8 is alright. He seemed to have good form; I'm not an expert or anything, lol. This is my first time watching, but the wife or the woman that came to his aid looked concerned about him.
