Originally bought the sionyx pro for storm spotting after receiving a training certificate for NWS skywarn class great spotting tool 🔧 except when lightning gets too close or frequent just curious have you been flying with your aurora? Would love to see a video of this!!.
Yes, have flown with it but IDK if your asking for an inflight, out of the window, video or one of lightning observed during the flight. Don't have the latter and the inflight footage is so not interesting 🖖🏻.
Love the airplane videos kinda wondering when sionyx will release enhancements or a new camera though trying to budget out what I am willing to spend on night vision always found that I get more out of thermal than night vision especially at pvs-14 prices but if sionyx comes out with a gen 3 equivalent or better pretty soon I might just buy even if the price goes up albeit the lower the better for my wallet cool videos keep up the good work!!.
IDK and am in no rush for a new model release. Prefer some breathing space to just enjoy what the current models are capable of. I quite like the form and function as is🖖🏻.
@@cnoct yeah I don't like shelling out money either just curious baring a new camera release what feature enhancements would you you like to see? Me personally I would like it if battery life was a little better and compression was more efficient and maybe added MGRS support but these are very minor in the scheme of things I guess I am just impatient would be cool if sionyx had a ETA on this stuff still waiting for augmented reality!!.
Not about money to me, I prefer time to learn and enjoy each iteration. What more can I see, capture and experience with what I currently available, that's my thoughts on it. Having another model/s with greater potential, sure, not against it, just like the time between to breath, use and learn🖖🏻. If your holding out for image intensified performance, I'd strongly suggest picking up an image intensified system. With a gain factor of 1, compared with multi thousand gain factor of I2 tech, you might be waiting on the wrong tech.
@@cnoct yeah I kinda thought as much I have talked with a engineer who works on tactical full spectrum systems and other than the technology being out of reach for most due to company policy that they don't sell to general public if one could get it to surpassed gen 3 levels it would be multiple tens of thousands and for it to be pocketable even more but never say never and as far as I'm concerned I just want minor improvement but no worries!!.
They seem to be in the process of product development for the consumer market but IDK what will come of it and don't have any further insight. Believe SiOnyx partnered with Benchmark but don't know if that is for consumer products nor if that partnership is still active🖖🏻.
It's interesting that the apu seems brighter than the engine cores.
IDK, might be the aft nav light 🤔.
Super

What do you think the top end of the spectrum is on these? 1064nm? 1200nm?
Above 1200nm if I was spitballing it🖖🏻.
@@cnoct Thanks for the reply, love all the videos you upload with it!
@@christianfelix1580 Appreciate that 🖖🏻.
