The results of this experiment were only half predictable. One of these two substances truly amazed us and will likely surprise you as well.

It’s starting to be obvious that all the Lada’s have been consumed by garage54 experiments and they had to expend their appetite. 😂

A customer took his car in for an oil change.

@@Tomatolover120 That works too lol
Now its jdm destroyers
Hi, voice over guy here. Honestly I feel like this one is a bit underappreciated. I mean, the honey didn't do bad at all as a surrogate motor oil.
This is the channel you watch to see the results of the ideas you think up in the shower.
😂😂😂😂
The car engine now has type 1 diabetes 😂
indeed
Would have loved to see them drop the pan and see what it all looked like inside.
They did with honey. It got solid immediately
It's called caramelizing an engine.
I would love to see a teardown on that engine full of yummy caramel!
Maybe a collaboration with I Do Cars without saying anything at all, just a "please strip this engine and let us know".... 😂
not something you want to hear an engine revving high and the driver saying that does not sound good🤣
I can't believe Vlad actually licked the dipstick at 19:12 😂 he really is nuts!
I love all the wacky and fun things they come up with though. No idea too farfetched for them!
And thanks to BMI Russian as always for translating so we English speakers can enjoy and understand their shenanigans.
BMI makes this channel for the English world.
I remember a different translator was used and my god it was atrocious.
its teh land of milk and honey
@@Vicus_of_Utrechtmost translators don't care/bother to match their voices to the video, but this is bearable
It's old practice to taste test a mystery fluid to determine what it has in it. The idea it has sugar in it just makes the idea more tolerable lol
A good way to test the acidity of oil/check how much gas made it into the oil is to taste it. I've done it on a few occasions in my life when buying used cars.
I nearly died when Vlad said let's pour hot water into the engine, I have never heard of that before, but it seemed to work. Another great experiment guys. Regards to you all from Melbourne Australia .
It's fine as long as you're just flushing it out. Not stay in there, and also burn out the rest of the water.
It will remove all the carbon buildup.
@@chad2787 Removing carbon build-up with a little water is a bit different than flushing the entire engine cold.
any chance on a tear down video of this engine? ji want to see what the engine internals look like after the honey and condensed milk.
I was disappointed.
Brazilians: Making dulce de leche in the pressure cooker.
Russians: Making dulce de leche in the Lancer's engine.
I'd have been VERY interested to see how that engine faired with synthetic motor oil after the honey treatment.
You could unwittingly be on to something very useful there.
Carry in comrades!
Only if they meticulously remove all the honey. Honey is corrosive. You should see what it does to concrete. But I expect it dissolved some of the accumulated gunk.
(I used to work in a honey house, where the stuff is processed.)
For sale. Slightly used with honey then milk then regular oil back in. Runs like new and stronger! $10k!
Sweet!
I would buy this! But only with some authographs from the hole garage54 team!
I think the proteins in the condensed milk linked together like when you cook an egg. Thats why the honey worked a lot better, you would have to get it really hot to caramelize.
are you going to pour honey into an engine or what?🤣
i think all the main bearings and cam bearings are glued in place with caramel like loctite, piston rings would be the same too. i wonder what the oil pump looks like inside lmao. i had soo much fun watching this too, smiling from ear the ear when it was running on honey.
Is caramel a byproduct of heating honey, I didn't know that.
I bet that not only did the honey cool down and basically make a hard candy, but it also probably ruined the piston rings and lost all compression.
Thanks Garage 54, awesome as always and respect to BMI Russian.
If condensed milk does this to your engine, imagine what it does to your insides 😮😂
Different systems
You guys don’t ever disappoint! Great job!
And finally a modern Japanese car. Don't get me wrong, those Lada cars look cool, but the modern cars look cleaner inside and out IMO and have better fuel economy. :) I would love to see a 1980s Lada restored to factory condition, with modern aftermarket infotainment (not too modern though), seats and dashboard. Petition for G54 to restore a Lada to perfect condition, with a clean engine bay, new interior and warm LED lights/brake lights, and maybe have a Toyota engine swap installed in the Lada itself.
Hi from BRAZIL… Love your channel Vlad!!! Hugs from BRAZIL !!! 👏👏👏
From 1990 to 1995, around 70,000 LADA were sold in Brazil… Niva, Samara and Laika !!!
Niva was the most successful vehicle in those years !!! 👍👍👍👍
😂😂😂
What're the chances we get to see the teardown of the milk engine?
It runs SWEET on honey! Wonder how many miles it would last.
As Long as the engine is running and still warm I bet about 10-20. A lot less if you let it coller because the honey will lock the engine.

...and in next week's episode, beer for coolant 🙂
nice behind the scene part,, it's rarely see in this channel and it show that the mechanics is having fun as well,, love it,,
Awesome work! You get better and better with each video. It's been fun watching your channel grow. Keep it up!
looks like poop the engine has to take a dump🤣
This was hilarious fun that engine must not have been in that bad of shape to run like it did at first. but you guys had a plan and it worked out and had fun doing it way to go guys .
I know what is wrong with it: It does not have a Lada engine in it.
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
Russian mechanics, always answering the most important questions in automotive science. On todays episode, how does an engine run with honey and condensed milk as oil ? 👏 😂
I Would love a car. Especially one from garage 54. Great job guys.
The best automotive channel ☺
"Garage 54 - performing strange experiments so you don't have to."
Great video, gonna put honey in my engine now 😂
You can never guess their next idea, absolutely love it.
You guys get me all the time!
I'll be scrolling through and see something so random it makes me stop and look, and it Garage 54.... 🤣🤣🤣
One project I would like to see you take on is making the wood gas vehicles from the 1940s, you know, the cars with the built in stills that cooked wood to create gas all built as part of the car.
I too have been fascinated with wood gas for a long time too. would love to see a wood gas driven Lada.
They did a wood gas video a while back
It's been done. By them and many others too.
Those were used during WW11 when petrol was unavailable for civilians, and it was known as 'producer gas' on which the low compression sidevalve cars and trucks could only just 'limp alone slowly' with very little power available, but it did move them along a level surface at about 10 to 15 kms per hr . . with coalie black sooty 'smoke' from the burner stack.
@@HA05GER thanks, I'll look back through the archives for it.
AWESOME WORK GUYS KEEP IT UP! 🙂
What led this car to be a candidate for experimentation? Looks a bit better condition than the Lada lineups.
Suggested soundtrack from the 70ies « honey honey … sugar sugar » 😂
Sweet Video guys! 👍🏼
😂😂another fantastic video from garage 54 👍👍
This is my kind of questions that pop up at 3am 😂😂😂😂😂😂
We've reached the moment:
Garage54 ran out of Ladas
IDEA! Make the engine bay water tight like a tub, fill it with water high as you can and see if it keeps engine cool. Like crossing a river etc but for longer to see the effects. Add a snorkel etc.
Condensed milk goes into my stomach, not into a engine :D
That shit is nasty. Real milk only. 2% and up only.
@@joshuagibson25202%? It's up to 5% here and condensed milk is generally only used in cooking applications or instead of sugar in your tea/coffee etc
I eat it with a spoon. The only thing is that I buy condensed milk in a can not a bag like he did in the video. @@mantvydas8810
You basically made Dulce De Leche with an engine. A tasty argentinian dessert made by cooking condensed milk!
not argentinian btw...
Poor Lada lancer.
Awesome video guys 👍
19:09 🤣 It's greasy but then you lick it. 🤣🤣🤣 Engine oil, milk and honey, delicious.
That is one sweet ride!
They knew the Lada would still run so they used a Mitsubishi 😂
I find it amusing that for this experiment they decided not to chance destroying some old beat up Lada. That shows great respect for Lada's!
Could only imagine the mechanical damage to the piston sleeves and basically everything else...😂
Fairly certain the honey caramelised inside of the cam/crank bearings 😂
Piston walls. The bearings can't become so tight.
Well, this is the first time I have ever seen anyone weld an oil filter together
This will be disastrous! Sugar hardens!! Lol 😂
No way, just last night I was wondering about honey as motor oil. You guys rock.
Clearly the Russian guys at Garage54 have access to your thoughts 🤣
My favorite hacks are back at it again.
Love these guys!
Nice White Toyota Crown at 14:10.. Love it..!!
You'll get a yummy engine smelling loke glory, LOL...
Waiting for brazilians spawning to say "so many people in the world with nothing to eat, and you wasting food" 😂
Life of Boris special! Put Condensed Milk and honey in car engine.
This honey is pretty thick. Bear that in mind. Vinnie Pooh bear's mind.
whahaha Condensed milk, "we should have some lubrication. Humor at best.... "holy cow, lets do it" 😅
Lmao I knew it would lock up!! Lmao 🤣
How did this work? And it sounded good, like better than most Mitsubishis. It’s shocking. This channel is insane.
Use liquid bacon grease for oil next time!.
Garage 54 is in the land of milk and honey.
I think what apparently happened was that honey cooled and crystalized in the cylinder walls, rings and bearing
Correct
WRONG
Wrorect
Corrong
Poor that Evo... 😭
If i have that Evo, i will take care like a baby
Sounds like that engine is trying to compress milk and honey
Great experiment.Proves that there is a land with milk and honey.
Hi Dr. Cars, you are with your team doing everything we love to try,
can you try it this time with ( dishes washer soup )
Those engines will have a sweet start
You all are so nuts! At 13:28 he says Opa. What does that mean. I like it:)
The confusion when 'engine doesn't want to turn' HAHAHAHAHAHAH :D
I thought the honey would have solidified on the piston rings quite quickly, especially while driving, that was surprising.
Would stay liquid til it gets cooked an then solidifies when cold
If you've ever had raw honey, yeah you'd expect it to be hard only once it cooled down.
I have another great idea for another video. How about making a LADA 16 cilinder engine?
Yuhuiiii!!! Bravo!!!
i just had a crazy idea and somebody has already done it.
it's not an OIL pressure light, it's a HONEY pressure light... lol
now it's a MILK pressure light :)
That's what she said.
😑😑😑😑
#Garage54 great video its a good day when you post new video always different always fun thanks 😂😂😂😂
Gotta luv these characters
Honey starvation 😂🤣😂🤣
2:40 Here in the West, Vlad, we have a clever invention called a FUNNEL! 🤣
Would never buy a used car from these guys lol.
"It runs well, some minor honey damage"
Nah you're doin it wrong. You put the milk and honey in your coffee, and 2 shots of Voda vodka"" lol that's all ya gottado.😸
I'm cracking up already. ✌️😂✌️😂✌️
Try out the highest compression ratio, with welded up pistons or skimming the head, get like 18:1 on methanol and test how much more it perform on a standard Lada.
that would be a challenge.
Well that's one way to make Dulce de Leche, probably don't want to have it for dessert though... :P
Lol running honey seems like what would happen if you ran all lucas oil treatment 😂😂😂
As it turns out all honey is motor honey 😂
If I was your customer, and that was my car, I'd be very upset with you. 🤣
This is so mad it's hilarious. Pouring hot water into it to 'unstick' it.. hahaha
8:03 that’s how subie drivers feel when they check their oil it might litterally be milk but it’s full
washing up liquid fairy will work as a get you home method, its got lubriation it falls down on degrading due to heat, but will work due to it thins existing oil its an oil based product it lubes but i would not recomend extended use,but as a bonus it will clean out sludge, short term get you home fix yes
This car doesnt look like the normal wrecks you use - yet 🤣
That's one sweet engine!
aw you should have pulled the oil pan to see the block of sludge 😂😂😂
You guys should do some experiments with nitromethane. It would not disappoint
I'd have to say I doubt they can aquire any. If available it's probably ungodly expensive in Russia.
Pls more experiments like with sour cream or cream (30%fat and more - not a full fat milk, it's too lean), pork lard, veg. oil etc., i dunno butter maybe... I have tons of ideas
Gonna want to change the tires as well too before selling lol.
