I hope GM is watching... interior is very nice!
And Toyota
@@sergeantlee7594 Toyota won’t give a damn because they know their customers doesn’t care about interior and want outdated products.
@@jeffluo8960 and its very durable
Why so they can copy lol
Honesty i love the exterior look of GM's but not the interior...and in ford i love the interiors and lil bit the exteriors...but definitely GM needs to do something great pretty soon on interior designs!!😎
Ford and Ram leave GM a decade behind with these interior updates
Gm is behind in general in a lot of ways. Dumping the comaro, no real hellcat, gt500 competetor. No raptor TRX competetor, just not up to date at all.
@@lamarandson5636 the c8 zr1 🤔wonder when that’s going to come out
I wonder when you're going to do some videos with TFL Truck. They've started reviewing RVs and you're starting to review trucks, and both you and them are factual and wholesome. I bet they'd welcome you with open arms.
I'm glad their expanding into RVs. more awareness of RVs and what's out there is better for everyone. I've been doing trucks as well since the start of my channel. Actually, my channel started with trucks.
@@BigTruckBigRV The more you know!
I owned a King Ranch bred horse. One of our best show horses. I currently own the F150 Lariat. But would love the King Ranch edition. Nice looking truck
I really like the F 150 but I love the Super Duty and for me the King Ranch is the only package I would ever own on a truck
Finally! The headliner and plastics are in a color scheme to match the seats
Would love to see an option with that 12" screen to go with an RV GPS, like incorporating the Garmin 780's RV specific features into the Ford GPS system. Would just make sense to add the ability to include height and weight of the towed trailer/5thwheel along with the safe routes, gas stops, etc.
I wish that Ford would relocate the cruise control buttons from the left side of the steering wheel to right side. Also the A-pillar interior grab handles should be relocated instead to the ceiling sides of the passenger and driver's sides.
It’s absolutely a beautiful truck 🛻
Great job.. Very informative as usual!!
I like the 12" horizontal screen but just from a visual perspective, I like the looks of the Rams interior a little better. The Ford does have some fancy gauges.
Oh yes! Very, VERY nice truck!!
Damn Ford, I’m a bit of an FCA fan but that was a hell of a great showing. Subtle redesign but super effective.
Do u think it's looks like a ram truck exterior atleast in my opinion
I'm curios if those front sensors will eventually come to the Super Duty. I'm glad Ford is finally starting to add them, I had a feeling they would eventually, when I saw them on the Ranger. And that is a good point, that there's definitely quite a bit of overlap on interior features, while still keeping them separate
Nice looking interior, I prefer the horizontal screen vs vertical screens. Just getting expensive to buy a 1/2 ton these days, I'll get one in 2026
I really love you men i wish u get the best job ever actually i hope u open a Rv / truck Center you explain stuff like you're the one working for ford And you give specific détails Thank you Brother I wish u the best keep up the videos coming 🌟
My 2019 ram limited has all these features and more.
Hi JD. Can you review the new front sensor's on the front bumper lower models has well as demo them and ask what is lowest trim level able to get them? I have not been able to find anybody talking about them or reviewing this new option, Thanks?
I have a 2019 King Range that I really love, but this 2021 is looking awesome ... Looks FORD TUFF to me...
Would really like to see an STX review...seems like all the new F150 videos focus on the lifestyles of the rich and famous models.
Never selling my 17 5.0 xlt fx4 302a with nav & pano roof with katskin leather.. it was 43k with incentives.. I installed a 6" lift & 35's on 20's for $3500. Paid off two months ago with 56k miles.. I love the 6spd and 5.0 flowmaster sound.. My next truck will probably be electric..
I wish the higher trim F150 would use a column shifter similar the the XLT reviewed. Gives so much more space in the console area
Sad people think console shifter and dial shifter are luxurious. I love column shifter.
I completely agree
Agree 100%
Finally, saw your face lol, thanks JD for all the content!
🍁Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
JD I’m 27 years old so I’ve been driving for 13 years now. I’ve owned many makes of vehicles the newest being a 2008 the oldest being a 1977 f100 which I still own, currently driving a 2003 crown Victoria lx the most advanced feature is auto headlights lol. I have driven some newer vehicles with some of this newer technology like adaptive cruise control which I liked and lane keep assist which the first time I drove one with that scared the crap out of me because I didn’t know it had it and I went to pass someone on the interstate and the steering wheel jerked, but This video got me to thinking do we really need all of this technology which increases the price of new vehicles, I mean I’ve never scraped a wheel on the curb in a drive-through and I’ve never had a problem pulling into a parking spot where I needed a 360° camera It’s just that some of these features seem a bit overkill they’re cool in theory but how many people actually use these features, love the videos keep it up
Beautiful truck, I'm buying it soon. 👀🍻
I'm curious what that glossy piece in the driver side A-pillar is. Did they move the BLIS indicator from the mirror to the A-pillar?
That would make sense.
Beautiful truck
F150 shifter go BRRRRRRRRR
Key feature; it is a little more brown. Wow, makes me want to run right out and buy one
I have to wait till Friday to know if Ford is even taking orders now. I Am trying to get them to make a king ranch for me but I might have to wait for the 2022
😍 it's beautiful!
Gtfo
I'd get the XL version with the STX package, V8, 4x4.
Jd is the blind spot indicators inside now? And not on the outside mirrors anymore? And if so do you think that's because of the 360 camera system option or trailer tow technology package or combination of both?
As someone who frequents drive thru car washes, it kills me that these still come with an old school antenna. They mastered the technology to remove those antennas over a quarter century ago. To me it’s such an eyesore to still have one sticking out of the fender.
Keep in mind, these trucks are still mainly used for when you're out on the country. You need a stronger antenna as no towers are nearby thus the larger truck antenna will be able to pick up the stations. Cars and SUVS have that hidden antenna as most these people are in the city, towers everywhere. If satellite radio is ever offered for free, then maybe those antennas will go away.
All this can be yours for a full $75,000 cash or $1,800 monthly car note for 112 month period with $6,000 due at signing
😅
I hate how those 360 cameras disable when you go above 5 miles per hour. If Ford says that it is a distraction issue, aren't the whole big 12" screen, all the buttons, knobs and embedded technology features a big distraction as well. I like to be able to see on my screen, my trailer and hitch when I am driving down the highway for peace of mind. I also like to see on the big screen, the rocks and obstacles directly in from of me when I am off roading at 20 mph or so. I hear that the new GMC Hummer has cameras to monitor the undercarriage of the truck, do we have to wait ten years for Ford to catch on.
Anytime something is disabled after a limit, it's a software issue. Simple override should take care of that 🤷♂️
Only issues I have with the Technology ford has on the trucks that possible could be corrected or modified by software update? 1) Cell Phones, the system needs to be able to automatically toggle between multiple phone instead of having to select a favorite, I use two a personal and work and I find it hard to use the hands free option if I'm only having to be able to interface with one phone at a time. 2) issue is the camera system why make only certain cameras available via menu based on which position of gear your in (Drive or Revers) the Driver should be able to access all views.
Just curious jd did u get to look at payload figures on these new trucks?
Is it me or does the rear tail lights resemble the old 08-14?
I do like that video screen better than either of Ram's offerings.
I need your advice on the F150, I want the platinum with powerboost ( hybrid ) or the king Ranch with powerboost if possible in the V8 engine, kindly assist in making the right choice, they must come in full options.
My laptop has a 12 inch screen almost the exact dimensions of the ford screen, so we have gone from tablet screens, to literal computer screens.
It's like building yourself a affordable "ROLL ROYCE"
Amazing truck! Being on the higher end trim, does the King Ranch come with the Max Recline front seat, the one that converts into a nearly flat surface to 'grab a rest during long workdays'?
Yes- I believe the max recline option is only available on the upper 3 trim levels.
One thing I’m very surprised Ford didn’t do with this new truck is dual exhaust. Ram has done it for years at this point, Chevy with the new Silverado, but not ford for 2021? Very interesting.
Totally agree. They need dual rear exits like everyone else.
They suck for hooking/unhooking trailers with the engine running tho
I wonder if they just like to keep it a Limited/Raptor exclusive? Ram will do it on a Big Horn(XLT competitor), and Chevy does them LTs(even base Custom Trail Bosses). With Ford having the most power(this side of a TRX), I think they should have more trucks with dual exit exhaust.
Interesting note about the "Military Grade" aluminum they use in Ford trucks: My brother-in-law runs a body shop and I asked him what his thoughts were about all the vehicles that use aluminum panels. He said almost all of them have issues with corrosion, exept Ford trucks. Apparently there is more to it than just a marketing gimmick.
Actually we dont know that yet, gm just started using aluminum on hood. Ram uses aluminum on hood and tailgate. 2019 and up . I owned 2017 f 350 . Now own 2019 f 350. No corrosion yet
I really want to get a limited by end of the year, looks like is not gonna happen.
Can you put an actual truck bed on a 4500 or 5500 Ram truck instead of just the chassis ugly frame? Thank you
What was the payload of that king ranch and what options did it have?
Can the cargo cam be viewed while driving down the freeway?
What a disappointment that ford is not updating the 2021 super duty’s I have to wait till 2022 to buy my new f450
So much stuff that's neat but you'll hardly ever use, especially the guy who's driving this to work and back five days a week. When you jump in your truck, you adjust the HVAC and volume to your favorite radio station and head out. You can option out an XL and get some nice wheels for it, then place (2) in the order box, and get one for you and the wife for what they are charging for all this fluff. That's two engines, two transmissions, two frames, two body's etc. Two whole trucks. The extras in the high trims are priced the same as a whole other truck.
Will the ecoboost engine be smoother than this one
Does a vehicle like this with all the camera options have a record function or would you still need to mount a separate dashcam?
I run three separate camera in the inside. Front, back, and one that view the cab & speedometer
I’ll stick to my 2020 Platinum F150. I really do like the new interior of these redesign f-150, but I’m not a big fan of the front and back of the exterior of these new redesign f-150. Maybe it will grow on me in the future, but not currently.
Yeah it kinda looks awkward. Especially the front end with those strange headlights
I've always been a Chevy truck man. But, I had to switch over to ford, because I didn't like the bulky look of the chevys. Ford has a much sportier look inside and out.
Or are may not want the power running boards because they're inevitably going to break after your warranty expires...
That guy is incorrect as the highest output engine combo they have now and announced is the hybrid.
I hit the 400 Subscription buttons 🌟🌟💥
Plus with the king ranch you can get the 5.0 highest trim with the 5.0
You also can get the 5.0 in the Platinum
I saw the Ford stx in the back there. Could you possibly do a review of that? Want to see what the stx has to provide, considering that is what most costumers will be buying
Technically the XLT is the volume trim for the F-150, but yes, I understand what you mean. The average half-ton pickup in America sells for $48,000, which is well below the asking price of the King Ranch.
They finally did away with the thief friendly exterior door handles!
nice
I stopped watching halfway through, the Ford guy didn't know as much about the dang trucks as our beloved presenter!!!!!
For my part all cars and trucks can lose the LED headlights. And they need lost in the aftermarket too. They are absolutely blinding even in dime mode. I have hated them since they can out. My older eye's can't take them even sitting in a school bus drivers seat. Me and the wife have to stop dead in the road till the vehicle with LED headlights pass. The folks who buy them after market use them illegally too.
I completely empathize with you. I think a lot of people just put them in and don't do any adjustments to their alignments.
Or you have the folks putting aftermarket bulbs into factory housings that shouldn't have a bulb that bright.
Still not a fan of the console shifter. A truck should always have a column shifter
I wish they would've kept Ruby Red.
JD if you have a chance please do a mid trim level truck ...not everybody is rich LOL
I did the XLT before this video my friend
I read somewhere that in 2021 models the 5.0 is gonna have the feature where cylinders will shutdown, so instead of 8 running it will be 4, similar to Chevy is that true?
It’s true
@@jasonlarsen3515 thats horrible. Worst move for ford.
Cylinder inactivation and auto on-off are the worst truck tech right next to electric tailgate.
@@joaquinzuniga712 the worst move was making the ecoboost the only engine for the Limited and Raptor and the expedition.
@@RadDadisRad we need to get you on a plane to Dearborn ASAP! Ford needs your insight
When will we be able to buy them?
That front end just leaves something to be desired
JD I have a question. Long time viewer. I put a factory order in for a 2021 f150 platinum hybrid with max towing package. I currently have a trailer 21' long with a GVWR of 7400 and dry of 4177 and hitch weight of around 600lbs (Nash 17K). I'm very worried about the payload with this hybrid model. Do you think my trailer is to heavy? Very worried bout payload right now.
I think you will have a payload capacity of around 1350lbs from some of the door stickers i've seen on forums for the 2021.
Can the king ranch opt to equip with massage chairs, or if its only for platinum and limited?
King Ranch comes with massaging seats
@@myopinion7236 thank you. Then that's perfect
@@dearbulls No problem.
Powerboost has more Hp and Tq. The ecoboost is not the highest powered motor for the king ranch.
What is the torque and horsepower? Did they say?
The interior is amazing, but it's kind of plain looking from the outside. It just looks like a lower spec with a chrome package.
Did you catch what the cargo carrying capacity of this King Ranch (as equipped) was?
1450# I believe, in that range anyway.
I was very impressed for the spec!
Yeah, I just saw it in the tailgate video of this truck.
Anyone have real pics of the Kodiak Brown color?
Best interior in its class. Nice job on the front and rear. But looking at it from the sides not very impressive. Those straight lines just makes it look like a truck from the 80s
Long horn like
King ranch comment
Tell us wich one is better looking
The superduty needs a Powerboost option
I think they should do more to distinguish the exterior of the King Ranch. It hardly looks different from that XLT you showed us. But I will say they did right with the interior.
It’s basically an XLT with some options and saddle leather
You mean something like "King Ranch" written in big letters across the tail gate or emblems on the fenders?
@@66skate IMO, that's not enough. From the sides and the front, there's hardly anything distinguishing.
Also, changes shouldn't just be limited to textual, they could do more with the headlights and trim work, something that goes with the Ranch theme. From the thumbnail, I thought this was a Lariat or maybe an XLT with a Chrome package. If I were spending $80,000 for a truck, I wouldn't want it to looking like a $38,000 manager's special.
@@AkioWasRight They never did any of that before. Why start now? Most people don't like all of that stuff all over the place. Sometimes less is more.
@@66skate Because I say so. Seriously, what do you want... It's my subjective opinion. Why do you want me to rationalize that for you? If I like the color blue, should you expect me to explain why I like the color blue? You're asking me pointless questions.
what is the cost of this beautiful truck.
I've owned Fords and Chevys. Ford trucks are insanely expensive and rate as less reliable than Chevy trucks by Consumer Reports. Currently own a 2018 Chevy 3500 LTZ Duramax and it has been great, no problems and it was probably $10,000 cheaper than a comparable Ford.
GM's truck interior seems to be dated and the screen is so tiny compared to the new F150 touchscreen which seems to be very large until the new Tahoe/Suburban and Yukon beats out the interior of their truck counterparts.
I don’t get why they just didn’t get rid of the shifter 🤷♂️In general wouldn’t have to motorize it at all then
I like the XLT better lol
What engine would you chose the 5.0 or the 3.5 eco boost
Either or, they are both great. I believe the 3.5 is more dependable because they are built like tanks. Our 15' Explorer has 160k on it. The 5.0 obviously has that beautiful v8 exhaust note, and is also just another beast by itself. So its just your preference
@@TateLaPrade The 3.5 is more dependable than the 5.0. What are you smoking dude.
I wonder what that was on the upper door panel flickering..
I actually like the last generations interior better
لا توجد ترجمة الى العربية ؟؟!!
When will these be available for purchase?
Can’t you order now? There are a FEW on dealer lots but seems to be rolling out *now*
No doubt this particular KR, will have an MSRP of $75,000
Probably more.
In Canada, 95k after tax.
Anyone know when these are going to available?
This month. I'ma check my local Ford dealer in the morning.
Bruh gm is gonna lose all of their sales between Ram and now Ford interiors
I bought a Ford for that very reason. Had three Silverado's and was going to buy a fourth but was unimpressed by the interior. Ten years of the same thing.
I did like the Fords interior. Felt more natural where things were on the dash too.
Wow, Ford has almost made the interior as nice as the 2013 Ram trucks.
Those headlights are so large that they make the F-150 look kinda small. I don't like them at all.
I don’t particularly care for the new front end. It’s not terrible but it does look like a Nissan Titan to me. I think the previous generation was a better looking truck.
Bang & Olufsen sound system?
They moved away from Sony for their high end audio a few years ago. B&O is in my 2018 Platinum. I think they made the change with the 2017 mode year.
I think the Sony system in my 2017 truck sounds as good as the B&O system in my wife's 2019 Expedition
Sony really isn’t very good. My fusion and Taurus have the Sony and my Expedition has the B&O. B&O is found in higher end vehicles.
That B & O Unleashed system should sound pretty nice. There are 4 speakers in the front headrests and 2 above the front seats. I can't wait to try out a Platinum.
Yeah, B&O has several different grades of systems. Ford doesn't put the high-end 3D/4D stuff in their vehicles from B&O, which is why the sound isn't all that much better than the Sony system.
How well does the powerboost regen downhill? I know you couldn’t test this because texas is flat but how strong is the regen in general?
We have mountains in Texas. I have no problem hitting 80 miles an hour that’s with me riding the brakes, down the mountain for 10 miles. Charge any hybrid battery in no time!
@@moro1112 isn’t it a bit dangerous to ride your brakes like that?
@@jeffluo8960 I pump the brakes. If I don’t push the gas at all and just let gravity do it’s job, I could hit 100 plus miles an hour. But it’s a very curvy road. You could drive off the road on accident, if you aren’t careful. I lost a friend like that.
@@moro1112 What gear are you in for those hills?
Tough this smart can only be called F-150
