Nice to see you still rocking hehehe. Greetings from Croatia. Unfortunately, when its trying to focus in video mode, there is noticeable back and forth pulsing where its trying to judge the distance. In photo, not big of a problem, but in video when recording its not good. I haven't checked the specs, but I know Panasonic was criticized for using contrast detection system rather than phaze detection system for auto focusing. I was hoping they will upgrade, because other than auto focus almost everything else was great in GH line. Sure its smaller sensor and can't do low light same way as larger sensors, but the biggest problem I think was always that contrast detection auto focus system. That pulsing and inconsistency is making it hard to use for run and gun single shooters. Of course if the style of shooting is manual focusing than its not that important as you say in your conclusion. Its 2024 so I wish Panasonic was up there with other brands when it comes to AutoFocus.
nice to hear from you after all those years. yes the pumping is only when i use the metabones adapter to use my canon lenses. but i think i have to adjust the adapter softwarewise. but if you use a mft lens it works perfect now. that wasn´t even possible with the old contrast detection focus. but over all its a juggernaut and an absolut beast 🙂
You definitely need the Panasonic 12-35mm to judge GH6 Autofocus, it's amazing. The test you did was so simple, the 12-35 would have handled that in it's sleep. Check my portfolio, the latest video is %100 AF, the whole thing. It only lost focus twice, in the VERY dark.

what was you autofocus settings ?
Person autofocus. Frame in the middle of the picture
@@ohdeazy1567 Actually I mistakenly set it on -3 speed.
How's the low light on the GH7?
In Full HD...GREAT!
@@ramazaneastwood1605 I uploaded in 4k. Sorry. I was wondering what the problem is.
Interesting how DJI can get brilliant AF out of their tiny sensor but Panasonic can’t get its act together on the GH6
The pocket 3 has PDAF.
The colours and image on GH6 look superior
Did you update your metabones speedbooster? They released new firmware few days ago.
@@Tamtomasz yes I did. But there are different options to adjust the speedbooster. I will look if other settings will work better for video
@@felipecruz603 I wonder how GH7 will work with sigma 18-35 autofocus :D
Very intresting .Get it back meaning change iso in raw settings or just adjust highlight slider?
@@DroseMrchanging exposure of the raw material settings in premiere pro
