Col. Spalko (Cate Blanchett) tries to manipulate Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) into helping them so she uses Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) as leverage.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Everyone's favorite archeologist adventurer dusts off his hat and trusty whip for yet another globetrotting trek as Indiana Jones returns to the big screen nearly 20 years after racing for the Holy Grail alongside his father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Harrison Ford reprises his role as the iconic, snake-loathing screen hero in a sequel that also finds Karen Allen returning to the series for the first time since 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Shia LaBeouf round out a cast that also features Cate Blanchett in the role of villainous Russian operative Agent Irina Spalko. Steven Spielberg calls the shots on a script penned by David Koepp (and adapted from the screen story by executive producer George Lucas).

No it wasn't. Shut up. Stupid comment
Were people really salty about him ending up with Marion Ravenwood honestly? I sensed absolutely no chemistry with Willie. And Elsa... was Elsa.
Out of all the valid complaints that people have about his movie, I never understand that one, either... It think the execution of it is a bit off, but conceptually, it’s not a bad idea at all.
Well, Willie Scott was too whiny and complained a lot and let's not mention her screaming. Elsa Schneider was a traitor, so Marion was definitely the one.
The actress who played Willie was a hoot tho. I really did like part 2, even tho everyone else seemed not to.
Elsa is dead, Willie returned and lives in Missouri.
Marion was by far the best

Even though a lot of people hated this 2008 Indiana Jones movie, Harrison Ford is still rocking as the title character and it was great to see Karen Allen as Marion again after 27 years.
@@dalmienpichardo1099 What did I say?
It's wild that after Dial of Destiny, I look back at this movie with fondness...

Mom ?
He didn't know Marion had a son.
0:44 great acting
It’s like this is the first time Ford saw Karen Allen since raiders.
I bet Marion is thinking
"He's still wearing the same outfit after all these years".
Princess Leia said it out loud to Han Solo in The Force Awakens, which Han protested because his outfit actually was new. Indiana Jones wears exactly the same outfit. Han Solo wears completely different outfits but they somehow all look the same.
Indiana Jones: Mutt, i am your father!
Mutt: NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!
😆
Indy: Mutt. You can destroy the fedora. It has forseen this. It is your destiny. Join me, and together we can rule Archeology as father and son!

It did plenty right

Indy: "Why, you lookin' for a date?"
Marion: "With anybody, but you."
that hit him hard lol
love that retort it cracks me up
Remember Indy almost had a bad date?
And of course, Indy's explanation why he never got attached to any of the other women in his life:
"...Because none of them were you."
Hokey script aside, this was one of the more touching moments that endeared me to this movie.
That must of burned real bad
I believe Marion got pregnant on the boat in Raiders.
I pretty sure it was the buy you a drink
Mutt Williams is only 19 in this film. Indy must've knocked up Marion during the 1937 period and she gave birth to Mutt by Last Crusade.

@macdonald715 - They should have made Mutt MIA in Vietnam instead, and left it open-ended.
Mainly sadly due to how Shia Labeouf acted since the movie.

I feel that the negative criticism and financial results of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny are karma for Steven Spielberg who fired Shia LaBeouf after his public apology for this movie was taken out of context by the media back in May, 2010.

This scene's a big step more endearing in the light of Indy 5 which couldn't even stand the thought of them being married. Composer John Williams expressed delight at the way "they bicker" in this film, not to mention that it gave him a chance to recycle her lovely theme.
Even though this movie is not the best of Indiana Jones, Marion returning was a nice touch. Indy and Marion are the perfect couple!!

The way her face lights up when she sees Indy....i swear, Karen Allen's smile can forever lighten up the darkest room. ❤
Russians witnessing couples' therapy
One's probably thinking "Боже. Во что мы влезли?"
She should have punched him. *POW*...."About time you showed up"
Yeah, I agree. Marion was too soft in this movie. I get it I get it, becoming a mother prioritizes your outlook on life to be more compassionate and loving and all that, but they still should have made her way stronger than she is in this movie.
Now remember the last time she punched him her bar went up in flames. But yes she should of punched him again.
Naw, I sorta get it. Needless aggressiveness isn’t strength, it’s bravado. In the original she was prideful like that, yeah, but she often backed it up. This didn’t call for violence at all, this was just simply recognizing the one you love in a dangerous situation; why would you resort to violence and immediately start off on the wrong foot?
She probably considered to do it at first, but then Indy goes like "¿Why, are you looking for a date?" and then she says "With anybody, but you". You can see on her face the satisfaction of seeing how painful probably was for Indy listening her to say that 😅
I agree, it would’ve been funny.
Marion’s catchphrase: “Get your hands off of me!”
Am I the only one who actually loves this movie?
No. I can forgive its weaknesses, and is less annoying than "Temple".
Yes, you are the only one that loves Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Despite having its moments, this was indeed a mediocre film in comparison to other Indiana Jones classics.
Basically the filmmakers were out of practice with Indiana Jones 4 - too many years had passed and the writers decided to dilute the purpose of the film.
Well everyone likes the crystal skull now. Indy 5 was horrible.
@@artimus7525 While the fifth movie does have some good moments here and there, it is my least favorite in the franchise. My mom and I just saw it today actually.

Karen Allen has a killer smile…
I love every scene with Indy and Marion ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was so cool to see Marion back!
Marion is tough as nails.
Marion : about time you showed up!
I mean, that’s so Marion
Watched this movie once again but on New Years and all I have to say is that it was a great introduction to Indiana Jones' son, and how the ending showed the doors opening and his hat flying to his son with his son picking up as well as trying to wear it with Indiana Jones then snatching t from him and being like "thanks". Like that to me, honestly shows that he was like "not yet son, its not over for me yet, there's much more to come", etc which really gave us hope that maybe sometime there would be another film, despite the cast and Harrison himself already being much older and the fact is, there is. Now there's another movie coming out, but this time in Italy. Like what an amazing film this was, I remember when this movie first came out it was everywhere, there was so much hype, everyone was talking about it, the comic book was released again, the comic book was literally everywhere, LEGO was coming out with games, LEGO builds, etc, and that's what honestly brought back Indania Jones after years and years of not having a film especially in the 90s where they haven't released any films. Like the fact that they even brought the love of his life from the first film to here, especially with them being older now was such a throwback. Not only that but even though this movie wasn't the best compared to others since it was about aliens, it was still a nice film especially with the cast being much older, and how all they wanted to say is that were still around and that we haven't lost/forgotten about Indiana Jones. This year I've even decided to re-watch every Indiana Jones movie with my brother now that there releasing a new film this year, and all I have to say is what a great way to start the year with finishing with the last ever movie ever released - Indiana Jones 4 and now having the fifth one coming out this year. Like what a time it was when this was first released, especially when the comic books were everywhere. Anyways, Happy New Years everyone!!! Wishing you all the best, myself the best and hopefully this year will be our year!!! Hopefully the fifth one goes well but yeah. Even though Indiana Jones 4 wasn't the best and the worst compared to the previous one, we all still have to realize that they tried making it more futuristic and that most of the cast especially Harrison Ford are much older.
I like Mutt Williams as Indys son. He behaves similar to his daddy Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. as he was as teenager shown in intro to "Last Crusade" played by River Phoenix. His father was a rebell too
“That was BEFORE I was your father!”
1:18 How to act like a adult 😂😂😂
Marion Ravenwood, Is One Incredible Character and Played by One Incredibly Beautiful and Talented Woman, Lady Karen Allen!

when Marion says "it's not that hard," i always get the bad feeling that she was talking about my FAVORITE SCENE IN RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, it happened after the events of Raiders.
@Nate W "Come one, I'll buy you a drink..."
Awesome movie. Don’t listen to the idiots, Spielberg.
There are a lot of legitimate criticisms to be made about the film but when someone says “aliens are too far fetched for Indiana Jones” it’s probably best to not pay much attention to them.
Jellybob in my opinion, I think the aliens are not far fetched, but just not suited for Indiana Jones. It’s not like the original 3 were “realistic” but they were all based on something spiritual/magical. Not sci fi.
Jason Chilado, I understand your point but I feel like there was a far more grounded, natural and even historical way they could’ve introduced the myth of aliens. That being said the overly sci-fi type route they went really didn’t work.
+Talon Diswich
I remember feeling satisfied when I first saw _Kingdom_ _Of_ _The_ _Crystal_ _Skull_ , however I won't deny that a *lot* more work could have been done on the film.
I think the movie is bad but really fun to wacth (just as fridge scene)
Shia Labeouf is great. Screw the haters.
He was all right. I don't hate him, I just think they should have somehow fit the real Shortround in and have his usual NY Yankees hat but I did like the movie all in all. Especially the Cafe Bike chase scene
Thanks , But my name Is Mutt Williams
Geoff Williams I would love if Short Round came back as an adult in the next one. I don’t think he’s acted for years though. But still hopefully, ‘cause that’d be awesome. Apparently the guy’s 48 now though.
Mark Guerrero Haven’t seem him in lawless but you’re right in that he acts similar in a lot of the movies he’s in, but that doesn’t bother me too much. And the better roles he gets, the more different types of things he could try.
I agree with you on that.
I swear if marion was dead in dial of destiny then crystal skull was the end canon for indiana jones

In all Honesty, the movie was great in my opinion especially given the circumstances it had. Recently, I decided too re-watch all the Indiana Jones Movies, and it's like everyone says, the first three are the prime Indiana Jones, and this one was a little washed up, but I think people gotta realize the fact that Harrison Ford, and the classic casts, and staff even decided to comeback and make a fourth film took a lot of courage, knowing that they weren't in their prime, and we gotta appreciate that. Like always the storyline was great, the characters were amazing, and the soundtrack always top tier. I remember when this movie first came out, there was massive amounts of hype, and it's basically what helped revive Indiana Jones, and massive credits too that. Honestly a great movie, with adventure, comedy and action. Was a great way to start the year, and lets hope the fifth movie goes great, I'll never forget the early comic books of this series though. Honestly, What a time.
