Like a mix between Steely Dan and Hall and Oates
AwesomeRobot15, yeah! For sure it sounds like private eyes by hall and Oates especially. 👍
Wonderful feel good song; Billy Joel is a genius at making music!
this is wonderful, could have been a hit single!
@Owen Franklin it didn't make it to an album,.. sadly it's only a demo
Sounds like a great beginning. Wish he would've developed this more. But love it anyway!
This is so catchy! Gives me Hall & Oates vibes and I love it. Billy is the best!
Why was this song not on An Innocent Man or My Lives? This is a great tune.
Why unreleased? this is so awesome!!!
wow.. he definitely should have fully produced this
Joel sounded like a radio announcer in the intro.
This is good stuff. Took me a couple times to get into it, thank you so much for sharing this.
Great song. Thanks for sharing this!
I like this..I like it alot.
The very beginning is reminiscent of SQUEEZE's "Footprints in the Sand."
Billy’s contribution to the yacht rock sound.
Ma che musicalità ha sempre Piano MAN ... Inconfondibile !!! Duttile !!! Nessuno mescola le note come lui ....
We want more please :)
Lyrics indicate it was written during the Innocence Man time. I would have switch this with Careless Talk, similar topic.
Steely Dan quality to it.
definitely
reminds me of tell her about it
First listen was thinking .schlock and now keep playing over and over.
RELEASE IT!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢
YESYEYSYEYSYES
Why was this not on An Innocent Man or My Lives? I love this song!
Wouldn’t really have fit on Innocent Man as an album of do-wop and girl group pastiches. The lyrics have a similar theme to “Tell Her About It” but, as others have pointed out, a more blue-eyed soul arrangement.
It would have improved The Bridge immensely.
@@rustysworldofentertainment850 getting closer, would have worked better if it was an actual vocal duet with Steve winwood instead of him just playing on it
@@John-du6ec True that.
Love this! How do you have these?
¡Qué buena! ¿De dónde las sacas?
Livre : Billy Joel l'histoire du Piano Man (Camion Blanc)
Crystal 's percussion adds something to the song?
What eras this from? Post R.O.D ?
Dalton Austin Its seriously bad
wow. not a bad song. what era is this? late 80's?
90s, probably an outtake from River
I believe it's from Greatest Hits Volume 1 and 2 demo (1985)
This is correct. After some research, found that this track was recorded in '85
Fascinating. Though that has to be the weakest number he's done since "Cat."
I like cat! Hour of the wolf, eeww!
