If this were on an album it would be one of my favorites of his. It sounds mostly recorded here, just needs a remaster.
For me, it's totally "Police" inspired as was "Running on ice" from Bridge album. Billy's a big Sting fan so makes sense! But how this never made it to an album is a mystery! He would even admit there's a bunch of album cuts he wished he could delete, lol! This one however, shoulda been a keeper!
I think he could’ve done #4 to complete. I listen to 1-3 all the time. I miss getting a new Joel album.
The more I listen to this, the more I feel like I’ve heard it before. Like it was on a movie or TV show.
This sounds like Glass Houses - The Nylon Curtain Era
I keep coming back to this demo, and I love it more after every listen. I really wonder why this never made it onto an album; if it was from the Glass Houses era as it seems, the fact that "C'etait Toi" (which I don't necessarily dislike) made the cut over this, even in its incomplete form, is questionable.
I'm pretty sure this is from The Bridge.
Kinda Super Tramp, no?
Extremely SuperTramp. Speaking of which, they should've had a much higher peak
This has the same structure of "Zanzibar"!
The chords in the bridge reminds me of Tony Banks.
Would this be from the Glass Houses era?
Jason Hayes sure sounds like it.
If you listen to the chords & the chorus this became Modern Woman.
Is anyone else hearing "and we all get a pizza reaction?" No? Just me?
Where do you find these songs?
in a dumpster behind Chipotle.
Oh, Rob! So YOU'RE the guy who broke into my house and stole my stuff
good question. He doesn't exactly make unreleased songs readily available
@@RobPrisament - You're an absolute hero for this. These demos prompted me to reach out to Billy's agent and I will again soon... You're awesome
Lyrics for this?
sounds like something hall and oates would have made in the early 80s
What era?
Sounds like Glass Houses to me
Sounds like The Bridge/Nylon Curtain era to me.
i'd say nylon Curtain and i've never heard this one before
I'd prob say Glass Houses era
@@BoodlesMaker Glass Houses for sure
