Thanks!
Thank you so much! I needed a slow tutorial to learn this, not all those fast ones!
Great to hear!
Thanks for this tutorial :) still, does this fingering wok for you on the original tempo? it's quite different from my edition, not sure if it works in your favor, does it?
Celso Ribeiro fingering (even notes) varies from edition to edition. try following yours, and use my tutorial only to check notes. for more info, enter "fingering" in my website search box
Hi Jane , thanks for the video; feel less alone cause I learn 25/2 too and I get exactly there at the same point so I can manage the whole piece with control and eveness of touch like you... But from there to the final tempo around 224bpm (or 112 bpm.for a 6notes pulse?) , it seems so far to me (almost pretty impossible to execute clearly but I.will try). So whats the next step ? A metronome progressive work ? How long to go from here to 224?
My tutorial titled "How to Practice (Piano) When We Keep Stumbling over the Same Part" illustrates how to use to metronome to gradually reach tempo. It is a matter of practice, and patience.
Jane thanks!
Still really usefull for understanding and practicing thanks you
Thanks for your kind words!
Thank you so much very good tempo for beginners❤❤
You're very welcome! Thanks for writing ❤️❤️
Jane, I can play Fantasie impromptu perfectly , do you think this piece is similar in mechanics and do you think I should be able to handle it??
This one is more finger muscle memory. You can do it.
@@janepianotutorials Thanks!!
Claude Debussy Its funny how Debussy still needs help to learn pieces considering that hes already quite good
Well, slow version actually sounds impressive to me :O
Glad it does. Slow makes the composition more transparent...
Awesome work Jane!!
Thank you, Jhon!!
Thank you ! It’s very useful since I’m learning this but I struggle to remember the notes of the third page, I don’t usually play such hard/long pieces haha it’s only my 3rd year! Thanks it’s very helpful!
Your teacher assigned this your 3rd year?
Yeah he did, it’s harder than other things I’ve played but I’m getting there !
Good job... The more we challenge ourselves, the faster we improve 😊
@@janepianotutorials thank you☺️
Thank you so much it is very useful
You are most welcome, glad it helps 😊
It's big help for students thanks, because if I play on both hands it breaks down
Glad it helps. Thanks for writing, and have fun practicing
3:40 Thank you!❤️
In French : je ne comprends pas du tout les " doigtés utilisés " à la première mesure ; Pourquoi ne pas mentionner " les doigtés " sur les partitions que vous jouez ?
😊
I know you probably wont read this comment, but any tips on speeding it up when you keep messing up the beat of the triplets?
YT notifies me of each new comment! :) The logical method is to force yourself to obey a metronome, then very gradually increase the speed. Finger muscle memory will develop.
Wait but what if you cant force yourself to follow it regardless what?
In slow tempo good exercice for egality of the five fingers right end : also " mvt Perpetuel " of C Weber very good for egality
Thanks, glad it helps
좋아요!♡
박예은 thank you :)
does it have to played that slow to learn it effectively? It's hard to hear the melody if it's this slow. When I am practising it, i need to play a bit faster, of course not up to speed.
Of course not 😊. This is slow to make it easy to check notes or compare fingering. When you practice, force yourself to obey a metronome. Set it to your competent speed. Then increase by 1 or 2 bpm upon each repeat.
@@janepianotutorials ok, will give it a try that way. This piece needs such fluidity, will see if I manage. I find my hand gets tired easily and my hand positioning is lacking because of this. How long should it take to learn this? It is one of the easier etudes as far as I know.
peter maguire Chopin Etudes are considered advanced pieces. It depends how regularly and how long one practices. Everyone finishes at different paces. For my former self, my guess is about a month of 30 minute practice sessions per day to reach 70% proficiency. To save time, concentrate on practicing the parts that trip. Is this really one of the easier etudes? My teacher assigned the Revolutionary first, that was in my 3rd year.
@@janepianotutorials thank you for your advice. Really appreciate that!
@@Petermaguire3684 if j answer no , the easier Chopin study is op10-12 in a good tempo in fact op25-2 is a study of virtuosity ; my first study in a good tempo was etude op10-12 ( four years work piano six hours a day for me j was ten y . )
Thank you so much ! I'm good fingers.!! :O
You're welcome 😊
I started working but I feel like it will never speed up 😢. How can I speed up this work?
Practice a line at a time before putting it all together at the end. Set a metronome to your competent speed (both hands, no mistakes). Upon each repeat, tick the metronome up 1bpm. Repeat. Guaranteed to work. Takes patience and determination! You can do it ! 😊
@@janepianotutorialsthank you i will do that❤
You're digitation seems quite dull. Cortot's is by far much friendly and efficient when playing fast.
Indeed, slow pace makes it dull. Not for enjoyment. For checking notes. 🤣
많은 도움이 됩니다~~^^
that's good, thanks for writing :)
@@janepianotutorials are you pretending to understand it😆

Thank you!!!
You're welcome!!!
I can’t hear the triplets in such a slow tempo
True. The speed tool might come in handy.
Great😉 No original tempo😡😳
Great? Thanks... No original tempo?? countless on YT, why add to them?
you play wrong
If you want to improve play the start of every triplet with sf because you are really in the wrong direction.
this piece is actually much more difficult than it seems.
the notes may fall together but the left hand fall at the weak note of every system and so its very confusing.
if you want to play chopin i suggest you try hard to improve it.
My tutorials are synthesia with fingers. Don’t expect anything else 😊
@@janepianotutorials Hello Jane! I love your tutorials, they saved my ass much more than what i'm proud considering that i'm an awful reader 😂
But now that you have more experience in making videos would you consider to redo this one?
Becouse i actually struggled a lot with the triplets and it has take me a lot of time to correct the issue
Hi, do you know some exercises to practice this piece in the right way?
@@nurlybekmardanov5486 I will try to explain this verbally. You have triplets of 8ths in the right hand and triplets of 4ths in the left. The triplets start together but the second note of the left hand falls with the last note of the right hand which is a weak note. Afterwords, the second note of the second triplet of the right hands falls with the last note of the first triplet of the left hand. This creates a confusion, because the strong and weak notes don't go together, so, most pianists, play it like the right hand has simple 8ths with one strong and one weak when actually has one stong with two weaks. To avoid making this mistake you must accent the first note of every triplet, first the right hand alone and then when you are sure you know how it sounds, you add the second hand. When you reach this I suggest to use a metronome that counts the start of the triplets in the right hand. Another tip you can use to get used to this asymmetry, is to change your pedal in the start of enery triplet of the right hand. With the metronome counting right triplets, your left hand will propably fall in the wrong place but you must always fix it and remember the correct way. This exercices are only so you can listen the difference int the rhythm in both hands. If you use it in your interpretation it will not sound nice, so when you are accustomed with the rhythm, you try to make it sound normal, without the unnatural pedal and the accents. What actually helped me dealing with the most asymmetries is that, I didn't plan when the notes would fall but stayed focus one the strong note of every triplet and let the other notes fall on their own because I was certain of how its motive sounds. Generally, play the strong of every motive and the weak notes will come on their own.
I'm really intrested to learn if you understand it and if it worked. If it didn't and you have questions, I will gladly answer them because it is a difficult piece and I also struggled with it so I understand.
@@ΜαριαΔρακοντου-κ2β difficult to explain , same thing with " Fantaisie Impromptu " composed by Chopin j understand wery well what you mean but more difficult to explain than to play .
Way to slow
yt added a speed tool since
You miss the point. It's deliberately slow, so students can appreciate how to approach the rhythm.
That’s the whole POINT of putting the word “SLOW” all caps in the title. If you knew it would be slow when you don’t like slow tutorials, then why click on the video and not one of the thousand other videos that were of people playing this song normal speed?
Your right fingering in the first 4 notes are no sense so I stopped the video 😂
Lol, this is an editor’s fingering 🤣
