- The daring assault on a KDF camp in Somalia by militants has been described as vehemently horrific. Yet questions are now being raised over the long term sustainability of Kenya’s mission in Somalia 5 years after entry in the war torn nation. Analysts now question why Somali nationals in the area where the attack took place vacated the neighborhood hours into the attack. This coming a few months after Somali parliament voted in support of a motion to withdraw KDF forces in its land. Is it time to discuss the exit strategy? By Eric Biegon.
