- On Thursday, the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF), will be marking 10 years since entering Somalia, to protect “territorial integrity”, under the operation Linda nchi. The decade-long mission, which began on October 14th, 2011, has been successful in targeting and neutralizing the al-Shabaab militia, which had launched attacks on Kenyan soil, causing mayhem in the region. However, KDF’s stay in Somalia could be longer, as a plan is in the works to rehat the troops to the united nations forces.

One surprising thing is that Kenyan military (kdf) were in somalia since 2011, and suddenly the Kenyan media is all over reporting their heroic act in somalia , now don't get wrong this could have happen long time ago like 2013 when many soldiers died and all those years back . The Kenyan government is presenting a good image of itself ,and distracting their citizens , this are the rules used by USA , to know all this rules read this book "power" it talks about how to intimate people and control them .
Farmajo also uses the same when elections are near. starting unnecessary conflicts. It's all games for politicians.

Thank you to the KDF you have clearly done a lot. However, I think it’s time for the KDF to leave Somalia as the Kenyan government has been interfering with Somali politics mainly in Jubaland and its recent relationship with Somaliland shows how they are undermining the Somali government, unity and peace. Foreign minister Macharia Kamau has also made war like statements concerning the ICJ on the maritime border dispute. To avoid further escalation I think it’s best if they left. Plus Somalia is in a good position now to fight against terrorist groups with the help of AMISOM from other countries like Djibouti, Burundi and Uganda.

@@tonnyanthonys2159 I wonder why Kenyans were never this loud when Somalia had the strongest army in Africa before the civil war. I have no doubt Somalia can handle Kenya even now. If you think Somalis are people you can mess with just go look up our history. Kenyan history starts after colonisation in 1920s.

The basic mathematics of the dispute is as follows:
- Disputed territory = 160,000 sq km
- Awarded to Somalia = 100,000 sq km
- Unaccounted for = 60,000 sq km
The question is if Somalia was awarded 100,000 sq km in the court, what has happened to the other 60,000 sq km?
