Personally, I have always preferred to be a solitary. I have been a Wiccan for years, and being alone has always felt right.

I pretty much think of it as this:
We were created out of nature.. therefore although we might not cognizantly comprehend it fully, we could still discern nature with our own intuition bc this knowledge is imbedded within our being and not a dogma.. our bodies are compasses of nature which derives a practice (not the inverse).. I believe all sciences could theoretically be approached in that manner..

I learned a lot from this video. For me, the different types of witchcraft shouldn’t be viewed as falling under one big “witchcraft” umbrella with various branches, because witchcraft is a practice that is used by people from infinite different backgrounds, sometimes in a religious context, sometimes in a non-religious context.

Thr Seax-Wica do have a book of shadows but it's called "the Tree". I am a self dedicated Seax Wiccan. I have never seen it stated anywhere but I think the name is a reference to Yggdrasil.

@@tarot.card.std.diagnosis No hate! Genuinely curious! What makes you say that his are the worst? There are some pretty shit witchcraft books out there, so I'm curious as to what you dislike most about Cunningham's books. ( Personally, I don't like the inaccurate history and outdated information, but feel there's some good stuff in there for beginners).
What books would you recommend instead ? :)

@@kittyrosefaerie7464 there certainly is some good stuff in his books, there is good stuff in every book if you look closely enough, but it's still pretty bad if you compare it with older witchcraft books like witches bible or complete book of witchcraft. I feel that a lot of his work is really vague, for example 13 goals of the witch, they don't really mean anything specific. Also i just don't agree with his views on witchcraft and wicca, his works started this way of thinking, that you don't really need to do anything to call yourself a witch you just need to light a candle and say a wish, i don't think that's witchcraft.

its very good to explore and limit yourself to any one label, being 34 now and like many martial artists, i took in the best of everything i learned so its hard to find like minded practitioners or any that can even fathom my beliefs. i started at 13 as a solitary wiccan, ive now (odd as it might sound to some) made a blend of witchcraft , christianity, and very recently a touch of the ancient egyptian beliefs. for many year i considered myself somewhat of a "christian witch" and thought i came up with that on my own but thanks to the internet making world smaller, i found i was far from the only one to do this which was a good feeling. i believe the churches would never admit it but magic was never "forbidden" for us to use but quite the opposite, thats one of the lessons Christ tried to teach as well as how he performed his "miracles." point being, never trust that any one source is 100% correct and has all the answers, learn through meditation as well, you already possess more knowledge that you think you just have to look for it.

In order to be an Alexandrian Witch, you would have to be trained within an Alexandrian coven and be initiated into the tradition. The Alexandrian tradition, like the Gardnerian tradition, is a structured and oath-bound tradition.

Only 6 of us in my Coven.
I joined an Eclectic Coven in my 20s and after achieving my 3rd Degree I circled out. I grew up knowing I am a Chickasaw Indian but was never really exposed to my Culture aside from my Rite of Adulthood at 14. So I spent 20+yrs researching all things Chickasaw. So my Wiccan Tradition is based on my Heritage. We always had Granny Spider as a Goddess. We always had a deer antlered God but he's so old no one knows his name. I do all spoken parts of ritual in Tribal language.
    Chicka-Wicca anyone ?

@Doc Savage I am an Alexandrian High Priest it is not required in our training. Many Alexandrians have had leanings towards many aspects of the occult but it is not a basis of the tradition. We also have our own angelic system also not required. In Fact you can watch my videos about my craft on this channel.
