Any newbies trying to learn this move should avoid this until you get use to an normal ewgf, this move is incredibly hard if not the hardest move in the game.
Thanks TMM, this guide helped a ton .For all of those having trouble, I would like to mention that you don't want to hit forward too early for the PEWGF motion. If you do, the d/f motion would be the only motion that will be registered for your PEWGF. Be patient, then let it rip. I've been practicing for a day, and I can say I get it roughly 1/50 tries now.
You are a true Kazuya Master, and it's very impressive to hear your thoughts and understanding of the character after spending all that time learning him. Now imagine if there were persons who could explain a character like you can with Kazuya, for each Tekken character..
EWGF, PEWGF, f+2. This was true for T5. Since T6 though the hitbox on f+2 has been increased and you can now even delay the second EWGF a couple of frames before foing f+2. So that exercise does not really apply here. 3xEWGF, d/f+2 gives a more accurate display of your PEWGF progress. Cheerio!
My god.. i actually got ONE LAUNCH. it was a total accident.. i used the f,d,df+2 method.. all i cared about was at least getting ONE and i got it.. Thank you so much TMM! I'm going to do these exercises immediately! :D
PEWGF, PEWGF, f+2. The f+2 will hit only if the electrics are 13 frames. Also watching the opponent before his second knee touches the floor for the timing part. These helped me a lot. I think it's one of the hardest techniques in Tekken Tag 2 but unlike some of the others for other characters, you must have this in your repertoire if you play Kazuya. The damage output is just to high.
WGF is the normal one withOUT the electric sounds, EWGF is the one with the electric sounds and PEWGF is a 13-frame version of EWGF (normal EWGF is 14 frames).

Worked on the PEWGF on Tekken revolution. I MANAGED to do it after roughly 8 hours of gameplay (all together)..I only managed to do it once..:D I'm still happy! On pad not stick. More difficult
something most players don't get about this. It's very very hard on gamepad to do because the directional button are to close and you have like to press at the bottom corner of your right/left arrow to get a precise and fast df with a triangle/1. I'm not saying it's impossible on controller, it is possible, but you can't guarantee unless you use something more precised like a joystick
hey main man I played yesterday practicing the pewgf I did it without seeing it and I practiced and I did some PEWGF 6 times but I still need to practice more. Thxx for the video ;)
Is it just me or does not looking into your opponent's knees makes it it easier? When I don't look at them, I have a chance of 76% to pull it off. With knees I have like 38%.
I once used the pewgf to punish a -13frame move pure luck I was more like pissed. It while watching the replay that I realised it was atually a pewgf. this is why kazuya can really be considered overpowered
TMM not sure if you know this but you can set hits to always be CH byt going to advanced CPU settings. That way you don't have to supercharge every time. Unless of course you are just experimenting with damage and don't want every hit to be CH damage in a juggle.
hi, big fan of strength in blood. question, how will using df4 show you the timing considering it can be buffered while only reason why df2pew or ewgf punish timings are difficult is because they cant be buffered?
Your right about english not being my first language but i've been learning english since i was a kid and im pretty comfortable with it. Anyway i never said tmm is better that the guys you mentioned i just said his execution is great which is a fact. Personally i have never seen these great players you mentioned using 5 ewgfs in a match of the this df+2, pewgf. There is a difference between been better and having a better execution.
Yo, do you know how many times u can use Jins EWHF? I only manage to use it up to 2 times when my opponent is in the air, but in your last mishima video u did it three times with a wallbreak. Wonder how many times it hits with perfect execution
He can perform 3 of Jin's EWGF. In TMM Jin combo exhibition 1, at the very beginning, he counters Miguel with EWGF, then dashes in towards and Hits with a double EWGF. But if your referring to how many can be performed in the air at once, then the max is two. Lol ^^
the other day in practice mode I was getting the launch a lot and able to make up some combos for my team and then the next day I got 1 out of 100 lol. also I hate when random people say my combo ability sucks when I do ch df+2 and get df+2 because I messed up. Nice tutorial. I gotta practice it more.
how can you tell the difference between Pewgf and regular? Since it's only 1 frame difference? Seems to be the only way to tell is how much you can juggle?? Is there no other visible clue?
The EWGF is very easy once you get around the motions of it. Quick tip practice crouching and inputting 2 at the same time, once you get that down try doing forward neutral then almost precisely after that input down 2 once you get the timing right you can incorporate EWGF into you crouch dashing as it is very rewarding for guggles and combos. Hope this helps.
No because it takes 1 frame to duck, and another 1 frame to go back to neutral. Add the 13 frames for ws1,2 to hit and that's i15 at perfect input. So it won't work.
I actually had no idea there was a pewgf, i knew about ewgf, but not a perfect version. Are there any other ways to distinguish it from a regular ewgf?
SPRINGS02 I myself can't see any differences between the two visually, but one is 1frame quicker than the other, and it might give you an advantage, cause you can launch people better since you don't need to have a 14 frame advantage against your opponent, you just need a 13 frame advantage, therefore it's one of the best launchers in the game. This is of course, if you can have perfect execution, which of course, as shown in the video, is incredibly difficult do to.
kazuya has another version of the abolishing fist which is the rising one which is a guarantee stun without counter hit, would the pewgf make the opponent rise up if it was the rising abolishing fist stun? and is pewgf basically a faster version of ewgf
Criss X No, when u are recovered, you no longer have that 13f ws status. But it can be launched with CH b+1+2 into PEWGF. Sasuke_Kazama made a tutorial that helped me improve my consistency to check it out!
I'm learning Kazuya for fun on revolution but I'm still having a lot of trouble with this in particular, I can land the d/f+2 and d/f+4 without being it a juggle but I can't seem to make it connect into a normal launch with ewgf after d/f+2. Even if I'm sure I'm inputting Forward, d/f+2 and DO happen to get ewgf or even if I do get pewgf (Can't tell cause warm-up space doesn't let you show inputs -.- only their stupid moves) it still doesn't launch him after CH on d/f+2, just starts juggle T_T... Halp please lol
its a very hard move not many people can do it you have no frames for error when your doing it. I wouldnt concern yourself with CH df2 just yet as it takes extreme precision. just do as the video says and do two pewgf's into df2 when you have such technique that you can do the pewgf on command and never miss the timing for punishing then you can start landing juggles with CH df2. hope this helps
dude the main man can do it around 30% thats what HE said. If what the guy sais is true then i guess he wont have any problem posting a video of himself trying it 100 times and get it right at least 75 as he sais. Remember we're not talking about just ewgf or pewgf we're talking about df2,pewgf which is really hard. I have mastered ewgf and all its variation and i have never done this one. Not even once. Let along get a 75% success rate
its so hard to find the timing to press f just before df2 to do the PEWGF. Everytime i do a simple df2, df2 =(. the PEWGF himself is not the problem for me, it's the timing.
Is it even possible to do a pewgf on a controller? Because you have to imput forward TAKE your thumb OFF the forward and input down forward. While with a stick all you do is a clench your hand.

+Nobbs66 He may have stated and yet you still missed the point. The previous commenter only said they used a stick based on how good he plays, not because he said so. Don't just jump in without reading the content. :/
Is this possible on Tekken revolution? I saw it done by TMM but I think it got patched? I tried like close to 40+ times and didn't even get one correct. Also, Tekken rev is second Tekken..other than Tekken 4 8 years ago
When I started to train EWGF im using the f, n, d/f 2 and i mastered it not even knowing its the PEWGF. I thought its not normal and im doing it in the easy way coz i cant do EWGF with Heihachi and Devil Jin. Thats when i thought not to use it and just to use the harder input which is f, n, d, d/f 2. I didnt know there is a bigger use for it.
Marqueze Harris WGF is pretty lax in input. EWGF is much more strict. You have to press 2 the exact same time you press down+forward. And EWGF is preffered over WGF because it has advantages: It's got a larger hitbox, and less recovery frames, so it's both harder to whiff and harder to punish. And because it has less recovery frames, it's optimal for extending combos/juggles. There are also visual and audio cues when EWGF comes out: for Kazuya, you will hear him yell "Doriya" every time he does it, and louder and bigger bolts of electricity surrounds his arms.
There is trick: you can do quick launcher (WGF with lightning, the EWGF) by pressing right punch (triangle, or "2") at the same moment as down, and then while still holding right punch, slide from down, to down-forward. It looks like this: f, n, d+2, , df+2. This is possible due to concept called "buffering" that is in Tekken since at least 2nd game. If you want to play online add me: ktwisniewski on psn.
I have my PEWGF down but attempting to get the timing right is hard D: I try but I managed to get 1 out of 5 on 2p side but 1p side I get 1 out of 20. Ill try your advice. Oh! TMM! I have a series of 3 vids replays I would like to be criticed on. Ill send you it if I know how to message people on RUclips :/ lol

Tekken is about patience man. But even after getting good with executing stuff, the main thing is about timing and pacing. So this is just the start
Its not, it might be a mental thing. I (For example) think it's harder to get F, N, D/F 3 with Heihachi than Kazuya even though its the same.
I think the hard way to learn this, is that you are mostly playing left to right but then you have to practice the same way right to left. Well :P

No because it takes 1 frame to duck, and another 1 frame to go back to neutral. Add the 13 frames for ws1,2 to hit and that's i15 at perfect input. So it won't work.

on ps3 isnt it forward-forward down and diagonal facing the ground?
The ff isn't essential but its good for range
do i need an arcade stick controller or a pro controller is enough?
Pad is great for Tekken, you don't need an arcade stick
what stick do you have?
When I started to train EWGF im using the f, n, d/f 2 and i mastered it not even knowing its the PEWGF. I thought its not normal and im doing it in the easy way coz i cant do EWGF with Heihachi and Devil Jin. Thats when i thought not to use it and just to use the harder input which is f, n, d, d/f 2. I didnt know there is a bigger use for it.
God, not gang, but you got the PEWGF meaning right I guess
Great vid! This really helped a lot. :)
This also works on DvJ and Hei?
Because people want him to be like 'do this technique for 10 minutes and you will reach Tekken Lord online'
hwoarang just frame sky rocket it's the same as pewgf and otgf the difference is that you have to press 4
wgf... I can pull off but I don't know the difference in regular way to the electric
There are also visual and audio cues when EWGF comes out: for Kazuya, you will hear him yell "Doriya" every time he does it, and louder and bigger bolts of electricity surrounds his arms.
drop ur psn name and lets get a match going
