in a 4runner, I recommend an extension (you can buy one from amazon) to mount the rear outside and have a lot of slack in your wire tucking. i did one in a forrester and no extension cable needed.
I've been looking at this camera and wanted to know how to get one of those backplates. I'd like to install mine like you did without the straps and removing the factory rearview mirror.
Love the OEM look!
Thanks for the vid. Which OEM backplate did you order from the WolfBox website? It doesn't list any that fit a 2023 4Runner.
Get the bracket #1 that list the 4th gen 4Runner. Uses the same bracket. Add double sided tape behind the mirror to cushion it to reduce vibrations.
@@ayodangit Thanks!!
Did u need to order an extended wire or the wiring they sent was long enough ?

Where did you get the plate from? And which oem bracket from wolfbox did you use?
mine was custom, but wolfbox sells one now on their website
Does the rear view camera work if you have a 5% tint over the rear mirror?
Yes, or you can mount it outside as well.
I dig it
How did you mount the rear cam?
Double sided Velcro tape
