How to Cook Chicharon Bulaklak with Spicy Vinegar

- Chicharon Bulaklak and Spicy Vinegar goes well together. Chicharon bulaklak are crispy deep fried pork masentry. This was boiled until tender and rubbed with salt before frying.
Here are the ingredients:
Chicharon Bulaklak
2 lbs. pork masentery (bulaklak)
a bunch of lemongrass, tied into knots
2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
4 cups cooking oil
8 cups water
Spicy Vinegar
2 cups Sukang Paombong
1 cup unrefined coconut vinegar
10 to 15 pieces Thai chili pepper
½ red bell pepper
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon whole peppercorn
2 thumbs ginger
Salt to taste

I tried this. Boiled for 1 hour w/pepper and salt. Cooled for 5 mins and then fried it for 5 mins (high temp) I used a regular pan. Super crispy ☺️

Hi! I want to share my own recipe inspired by this video.
Clean the meat first using calamansi juice, and vinegar. Rub with salt and calamansi peel. Do this for 5-10 mins then rinse.
Boil the meat with tanglad, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Just take the meat out after 1 hour, no need to refrigerate.
Here's the interesting part. Instead of deep frying, use a turbo broiler. This is a very effective way of cooking since the meat is extremely fatty which will produce a very crispy result without adding oil. If you want a crispy exterior and soft interior, set to max temperature. If you want it to be crispy all the way, you can use a medium setting and a longer cooking time. I've just made this recipe tonight for my keto dinner and it's very good!

@@rizabalwenardgabrille7429 Hello, sorry for the very late reply. Unfortunately, I don't measure stuff when I cook except when baking. You can do it by taste. The only thing you can get wrong here is the salt, so make sure to adjust according to your preference.

The Authentic Pinakurat Suka is made out of "Tuba" age perfectly so it doesn't turn super sour. Pinakurat is a Bisayan/Cebuano term means to startle. Pinakurat is also known Bahal/Bajal.
