Hello Jeff, It all depends on your goal. If you want a full depth structural repair on a slab on grade, Concrete Mender will do the trick. Just be careful if you are over occupied space. This product can flow through the slab and possibly damage items on the floor below like a car or equipment.
Hello, you can match color if you use the MatchCrete™ version of Concrete Mender. With MatchCrete™ Concrete Mender, you can add colored quartz sand or powdered pigments to make nearly any color. We also can factory color MatchCrete™ Concrete Mender for larger projects.
Hello Reggie, The product will not harm pex pipes and you can use a wire brush for cleaning out the crack. This will reduce the chance of damaging the pipe when prepping the repair. Call CMI in the Twin Cities for product 763-536-8336.
My scenario, sidewalk curb is actually higher than slightly sunken/cracked slob/sidewalk and I like to make it even again. Can I lay rapid set cement over then paint it with two coats of portland cement and then spray it with concrete sealer.
Hi, can this stuff be painted over with sealant.? I have a stamped driveway, and therefore it is not flat like the concrete in your video. It's very uneven, as it supposed to look like a rock. Would this product be suitable, as if I used it I would need to somehow even it out, and repaint over it?
Hello, Yes, you can seal the repairs, but they would still turn yellow in the sunlight. Our MatchCrete™ Clear with colored sand to match would be a UV color stable choice. www.matchcrete.com. Kelton at Roadware.
I'm Indianapolis, IN. Can you reccomend a supply store and better yet can you reccommend any one who can do the job. I have cracks in my garage floor. Thanks for the video, the process of repairing looks a good and sound approach. Thank you. S. Jain
Hello! Yes, Roadware 10 Minute Concrete Mender can be used to repair this crack in the lightweight concrete. You do have to be careful not to allow the material to run completely through to the floor below. This material should be installed by a professional who has been trained in application by your local distributor. You can call me at 800-522-7623 to find who your distributor would be. Regards, Kelton Glewwe Roadware, Inc.
Genius! I am assuming that this is a short term crack fixer? What if my porch cracked up into an A shape? I am screwed huh? The company that did the job went out of business and left me with crappy work. Now I have to fix it myself.
Hello, There are a lot of factors to consider. Generally, the cracks will get larger and more pronounced over time as traffic and accumulated debris in the cracks start to break down the sidewalls of the concrete. Kelton
Hi im from the Philippines my basic question is is there any alternative product, for sure your product is not available in the market, my wall moist during rainy days ,waiting for your advice sir, thanks
I dont think they will reply to a wall question . why ? Because nothing can fix the ingress of moisture coming through from the external to the internal face of a wall . Trust me , many products have come and GONE claiming to fix this very common problem . Sorry .

Yes, and the white comes from the hand finishing of the material with the rubbing stone. You can also you a grinder with a flap abrasive disk. Use darker sand or colored quartz to make many different colors.
Nice video! ...I have a tiling question. It appears that our concrete slab was poured in sections. There is a very straight (appears intentional) crack about 1/4 inch wide that runs along the exterior wall of the room we are tiling, about 3 inches from the wall. We're trying to decide the best route to tiling the room. The options I have seen are repairing the concrete, laying a thin membrane over the crack with thin set, and then also the more expensive option of an uncoupling membrane for the whole room. Do you have an opinion on the best option? Thanks!
Hello, That crack parallel to the wall could be there for a number of reasons. Most likely, that is where the foundation blocks end and the floor starts. It could be a variation in the thickness of the concrete depending of the design of the floor. In my opinion, the cracking was probably caused by shrinkage during curing and the cracks should be fairly stable by now. A filler or repair should be stable enough to support your tile. Especially if the room is climate controlled and the concrete is over one year old. Kelton at Roadware.
Hi, One of the cement steps of the entrance of my home cracked and it is a large one, about 5 centimeter wide and two meters in length. What kind of material do you recommend for this kind of repair, logically i want to do the work myself. Thank You
does this work with cracks with weed grass growing out of them? will it stop the weed grass from growing out? how long will it last for? and is it safe to cover up the cracks?
those are control cracks, don't fill them with this, Volcum is a flexable product that will fill the crack and prevent grass and weeds, grass andweed killer will work for several months.
You seem geared toward commercial/industrial uses, but do you have products in small enough quantities that it could be used for several driveway cracks? A couple are control cracks that need refilled and others just 1/4 - 1/2 wide cracks each a couple feet long.
Your product looks amazing. I am a very resourceful gal and I was looking for a way to fix some cracks in my aggregate driveway and the utube video was very clear and to the point. I have a question....after you fill the cracks can you acid etch over this product. I was planning on ordering the 10 min repair and then color my driveway in a deep charcoal, will the acid color cover or blend or will it stand out and look like you patched the crack? Thank a bunch!!!
Hello, The Concrete Mender is about as hard as the surrounding concrete. We have a another product called Flexible Cement II for semi flexible applications. For high movement areas like a sidewalk or driveway, I would recommend a caulk like material.
roadware1 My basement slab is super thin (1") over barely anyrock, mainly clay, and when the pressure comes up you can actually see the water push out when you walk over the crack(s). Is it a lost cause?
Most driveways have too much movement for a repair of this type. A more flexible repair would be better. It is always a good idea to clean and prep repair areas first no matter what type of repair you choose.
Seems like a good product, but I would like to see the use of the silica sand or another product that will blend with the color of the concrete. Your product repairs the crack but is just as visible, maybe even more so. Do you have color "sand" that will blend better?
is your purpose to make a smooth continuous surface, or to prevent water from going in and coming out of the crack. Why is this a better solution than other crack repair options out there?
Good question. The purpose of this application is to make the floor smooth again and prevent further damage from hard wheeled traffic like shopping carts or pallet jacks. 10 Minute Concrete Mender is an effective water stopping repair, but it was not designed for that purpose. We do not recommend the product for residential basements for example. Concrete Mender is a structural polyurethane. It makes a very tough repair that will handle industrial loads and traffic without becoming brittle like most epoxies. Concrete Mender moves with the concrete, not against it. You can find more on this subject on the Roadware website.
I live in Canada where we have concerns with frost heaving and freeze thaw cycles on outside flatwork.. How does your product work with these conditions?
I think you are referring to the manufactured sand. It is sometimes called quartz sand or silica sand. Most any sand used for sandblasting will work. The color of the sand will affect the finish color. 4030 grit works well. Finer sad will give you a finer finish.
roadware1 Thankalott sir.. and we have not this type of concrete filing glue... what is your country name.. and our country people demolish the crack concrete and reply for it place.. thatswhy.....??
Hello, Do you have to have a contractors license to purchase this product? Also is your company still operating? I am in Atlanta, GA - I have my Oregon contractors license but no GA license. I would like to purchase this for several small cracks in a garage floor.. for a friend not a major project. I cant find any product similar to this in home depot or lowes..... What are some other options if you do need a license to buy this Concrete mender?
Hello. Thanks for the video. Can I have your e mail. I need to show you the cracks I have and how can I buy this 10 minutes. Is it going to make good joint for the concrete ir it is just prevent rain water not to pass through the slab?
This product was tried after the Christchurch earthquakes, (which continued for about 2 years). No one uses it now as the 10 minutes refers to the length of time the repair lasts. True epoxies will do the job.
I'm sorry you had an issue. No product can make all types of repairs. There are many factors that can determine the life of a repair from local conditions to the application technique used. Independent testing in Christchurch has shown 10 Minute Concrete Mender™ to be more effective then epoxy injection and lower cost per meter. We have many long term successful applications in Christchurch. Please contact Canzac in Christchurch for more information.
The cutting blade is a dry diamond concrete saw blade. The scrapper at the end is a common wall paper scrapper. Many similar scraping blades are available. A flap sanding disk of the grinder works great as well.
We recommend a clean, dry and uniform sand without much dust like silica sand or manufactured quartz. Play sand will work if you dry it and screen out the dust. Make sure you use enough Concrete Mender to completely saturate the sand and the surrounding concrete.
Well, you don't have the Roadware at home do you? Just pick up some silica sand when you get the Roadware. Why do people always have to be so difficult? Just get the silica!
tony77tony77 Home Depot has Silica Sand. Do a search on the website. It is also called Pool Filter Sand. www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-50-lb-Pool-Filter-Sand-115350/202314677
Hello, I understand. This is a professional use product. The applicator needs to be trained in the safe use of chemicals like this and in working around concrete dust.
To Aussie eightythree....to answer your question you will need to grind the surface first, if crack elevation is 1/2" higher or more yu wil need to cut lines in the concrete and chisel it out, then grind flush...
Why do I not want Concrete Mender to run all the way through the "floor below"? If I'm using in basement, wouldn't it be best to fill the entire cracked, and not just the top of the crack?

Nice I"m doing this soon with the standard sealant. I might invest in the scraper to make it look cleaner.

Does this work on a basement floor that water leaks through ?
What grade of silica sand do you suggest using? I work at a silica sand plant so I have access to coarse 12/20 down to fine 40/70
Both will work. The finer sand will give you a finer finish. Just make sure the sand is fully saturated.
