To be fair about this ... A Kung Fu person surviving this boxer is a great effort. Martial arts fights are generally expected to be brief, particularly against an unrestrained fighter. Boxers usually train much harder and concentrate on punching, body movement, footwork and blocking. The KF guy did well considering.

Considering Yoo's lack of real boxing experience, he did better than I would have expected. Boxers train a few movements, religiously, for years; modern martial artists train many techniques, 2-10 hours a week (maybe) And then there is the stamina issue...I think it was a good experience for Yoo.
In all fairness and honesty, and not saying whether this guy DK YOO is any good or not. Getting into a boxing ring, and fighting under boxing rules would already stack the odds against someone who doesn't practices boxing. That is why the first rule of self-defense fighting is, to never fight the other guy's fight! Having said all that, as a form of physical fitness conditioning and development, boxing is an excellent discipline that all other martial arts practioners should engage in at one time or another
the guy is pretty good to stand for six rounds with Manny, boxing is one of his many skills in Kung fu. There are many cases strong guys winning over true masters. Boxing in the ring is like real street fight and karate people do not have experience during trainings. Kung fu is philosophy, may win street fight by not engaging, not provoking. Considering Yoo's lack of real boxing experience, he did better than I would have expected. Boxers train a few movements, religiously, for years; modern martial artists train many techniques, 2-10 hours a week (maybe) And then there is the stamina issue...I think it was a good experience for Yoo.

In all fairness and honesty, and not saying whether this guy DK YOO is any good or not. Getting into a boxing ring, and fighting under boxing rules would already stack the odds against someone who doesn't practices boxing.
That is why the first rule of self-defense fighting is, to never fight the other guy's fight!
Having said all that, as a form of physical fitness conditioning and development, boxing is an excellent discipline that all other martial arts practioners should engage in at one time or another

Boxing in the ring is like real street fight and karate people do not have experience during trainings. Kung fu is philosophy, may win street fight by not engaging, not provoking. I used to fight a lot until age 18, then only several times until 60

@@pikkonama8858 Absolutely, on a real fight, the boxer is the least capable to beat another man, even someone who has no fighting experience. Even a football player can beat a real boxer. Once a boxer is down on the ground, he is done. The boxer can only use his hands. He is limited in his repertoire of what parts of his body he can use.
