    Nice job. I’m not opposed to harvesting the odd fish but prefer to release everything I catch in a river. That rainbow could very well be part of brood stock.

      Hey I totally agree with you. I kept that rainbow as there was definitely no shortage of them in that river. On the other hand, brook and browns are more rare there, at least from my experience.

      Haha thanks man!!! Were you fly fishing there? I think dry flies are the ticket rightnow! Can be hard to catch them using other methods in the summer.

    Hi there Lu & Hayley. OMGOSH Lu you are so skilled, and /or lucky it amazes me every time I watch you fish! 😂😂😂As soon as you walked to the 2nd spot I saw cow hoof prints and wondered if you would encounter them 😂 You 2 obviously never grew up on a farm. 😂 but they can be intimidating. Such a wonderful looking supper Hayley, I’m sure it was delicious. Glad you had a nice holiday. Take care and God bless. 💖from Deifenbacker.

      Haha thanks so much Delphine!!! I was surprised by the amount of action I got there too.
      I didn't really mind the cows too much, but they are a lot bigger up close and these ones were super vocal also for some reason. Hayley did not want to be anywhere near them.. haha.
      That rainbow trout was so delicious!! And it was cooked by yours truly also.. hahaha 💪Hopefully I can catch more eaters next times I head down there!

    I'm planning a trip down there next year with some ultralight spinning gear. Do you suggest taking waders, or is there lots of space to fish from shore?

    • @LuRanOutdoors
      @LuRanOutdoors  Год назад +1

      There are quite a lot of room to fish from shore. I don't think you'd need need waders. Especially if you go during the middle of the summer, it gets quite hot, kinda nice to get a little wet. But if you are going early spring or late fall, or want to get to every single bend, then waders would be nice to have.

      I never had waders in this video and did pretty good for the couple hours we were there!
