I didn't realize Jill's/ Shiva's motiff the entire time was "My Star". 😭
And because of that, this Shiva battle theme in the beginning of the game, whenever I choose to replay it, will forever mean something different... very, very different
I'm not going to start a new game / NG+ right now it is a bit too soon... 😭

I started playing Final Fantasy with 15, and I’m 2 for 2 with the heartbreaking stories. It’s so good but so sad. Is the entire series like this?? 😭

The prologue of this game is the best prologue of any game ever.
Tbh it makes me want a DLC about Clive's 13 years in slavery to the Empire.
id really like more on Jill, Cid, and Joshua. As great as a character Clive was, he got so much spotlight as is and i feel like they didn't give enough to them, especially Jill who, for as long as shes been around, only got one real arc

@@Bahamut998you see the problem with that is. The GAME itself is built around Clive in mind so playing as the other characters would just be sticking to one Eikon.
@@S1EEPLES5 They didn't have that problem in final fantasy xv when noctis' gameplay was solely focused around teleporting around
Having played through the whole game, I still think this is one of the best tracks in the OST. The sheer significance of this chance reunion and the motif that represents Jill constant recurring throughout the game is awesome. I really wish we heard to this degree of intensity again later on.
It's crazy how Jill uses more power in the first 20 minutes of the game than we see her use in like the entire rest of the game. I feel like Shiva and Ramuh gone done pretty dirty in that regard. This theme is incredible and deserved some more significant moments to be played in.
@@Qarth56 I mean we see her fully priming multiple times after this. And it lines up with the story that her power is fading and fading. Her will to become Shiva has been drained from her after it being abused for a decade.
I'm okay with Jill not using her powers but she still got sidelined hard in the later parts of the story

its also pretty metal how you reuinite with her, its not a thing like in previous FF's where they instantly recognise the MC and hug and kiss them everywhere, you engage with her thinking she's a nameless enemy to slay for the empire, and she engages with you thinking you're the last barrier preventing her freedom from torture and enslavement
The battle with Jill was heartbreaking 💔 😢

I came here to say this.
This fight get even more heartbreaking after realising that at this point Jill was waiting for that one blow that would end her life as she was being "jealaus of the bodies lying on the battleground"
And yet her honour didn't allow her to just stand still and gets slain
And as she fought she wept tears of ice which fell to the blood stained ground 😢

my jaw was already on the floor is awe of this track while fighting, but when 1:46 hit I was just stunned! Absolutely amazing atmosphere during this battle.
I'm still not far in the game. Loving it so far tho!!!
That bit of the song is just ridiculously powerful. Perfectly captures the sadness of the these two childhood friends being forced to fight each other. The epitome of why both are so passionate about creating a world where people can live an die on their own terms.
I love this track. It sounds badass, but also... sad.

Man I was comboing the shit out of her and them when I realized who it was as soon as Clive did I felt so bad after that. Now every chance I get I make sure she's okay in the hub areas

I instantly recognised her, and focused on the mobs around without hitting her. But when I had no choice and she was obviously focusing on me, I was like "okay I hope you won't die" and endless comboed her. I was so glad Clive actually opened his eyes and saw it was her before it was too late xD
I think this is one of the very few games where many parts take on a completely different flavor when you play them in NG+. Knowing you're battling jill makes this painful.
