Love these guys and I’m so sad that they lost their brother. Hopefully they will always remain friends and carry on the memory of their fallen comrade. They did so many amazing things together!
Awesome interview.
I'm a fan of all the band members just as much as I am of Alexi. Henkka, Jaska and Janne are just phenomenal virtuosos. Jaska's super fast drumming, Henkka's mean bass lines and Janne's beautiful keyboard solos and rythms are unmatched by any other. That's what I think about these 3 epic dudes. Keep on rocking 🤘😆

@al69420 Of course not. Roope has always seemed like the coolest dude aside from Alexi.
They all seem like really really nice and down to earth and really funny people. That's what makes me love COB so much and the sheer energy of their phenomenal music.
I wish i had a chance to see Alexi IRL, but i never had.
I can only dream to see him in the afterlife to at least give him a hug and tell him how awesome he is.

Not to take anything away from Jaska, Henkka and Janne, but the atmosphere feels a little hollow. Again not to downplay these three titans of Finnish metal scene, without them COB wouldn't have been the beast they were. I guess it's not so much about that Alexi isn't present, but the fact that we lost him so suddenly. I think this interview just got to me and now the fact that he's gone started setting in. I'm looking forward for new music from all these guys. After all they are some of the worlds best metal musicians.
If they happen to read this: Thank you for everything you have done and hopefully we'll see you share the stage at some point!
I don't know if it's a phase issue, but the band's interview mic is too quiet and the host's is deafening!

The band's mic has a phase issue so the left and right channels cancel each other out when whatching on a mono device. You can hear the guys on headphones but it doesn't sound good.

@@eduardocliborio9156: Sadly that would mean giving him a cut of the merch sales and you know these three aren't going to do that. Roope played on their best albums too, the ones that sell all the merch. Pretty sad he doesn't get shit.
At least they could get in touch, thats what I mean. COB is over for everyone... so then, they could share their friendship again...wtf, right?

This is NOT Children of Bodom, these are MEMBERS of Children of Bodom....still missing Alexi and Alexander, at least. Without Alexi, the music writer, voice and FACE of Bodom. Just like Queen was NOT Queen after Freddie passed, and John Deacon retired from public life, yet the 2 remaining members still tour as Queen. *SMH* Glad to see these guys tho, just fix the headline.
Somehow feels wrong to promote beer in the name of COB. I mean Alexi died because of alcohol.

Yes they are. Weather you like it or not, those members own the brand and the band name. Alexi left it to them when they quit. So that's it
@@lizardbeast8701 EDIT: There was no fight, I was thinking about Queen and I mistook the situation. He could not use the original name and that is why his NEXT band was called Bodom after Midnight, my error...confused for a moment, I am only human, forgive. So in essence, it is technically not theirs to use on touring WITHOUT Alexi. I meant to say that if they did use the name, and this goes back to Queen, it would be a money grab. They can call themselves The Boys of Bodom or Bodom Ascending, but it would be an obvious money grab to tour as Children of Bodom. We know who they are and using a KIND of Bodom name would NOT be bad, just saying, that they were all members of HIS band, Jaska is the only one who has been with Bodom since the INCEPTION. Oh, and you are a douche for saying he wanted to die.
@@PosiFwd the band broke up because the guys were arguing to the point that their friendship started to suffer so they just called it quits.
The arguments possibly had to do with concern for his health, which the guys openly admitted to having in hindsight.
Alexi signed out of the company and left it to the guys because he wanted a fresh start, nothing else to it.
There wasn't any argument on who would keep the songs and who kept the brand, cause in the end it was Alexi's decision to make and he made it.
So this is Children Of Bodom, which stopped being a band when they broke up, not when Alexi passed.

It’s annoying that they are carrying on making merch because of the amount of money they are charging… they put out that legacy T-shirt for 75.00 what was it made from gold?
Then they get pissy because people make bootleg stuff…. Charge a normal price!!!
Alexi’s “wife” makes a go fund me page and these guys charge the earth for a shirt, all seems a bit money grabbing if you ask me
I never bought any of their merch, but I have all ten of their studio albums and rare stuff that didn't make it on Skeletons in the Closet which I also have; some I've bought multiple times for different editions and the original mix of Follow the Reaper is pretty different.
It's just a cash grab. They'll be milking Bodom until the day they die. They told Alexi that they all wanted to retire. The man wasnt even cold in the ground when they literally all joined new bands. It's just sad.

They are using the name to put out over priced merch so it can fund their lives! Is any of the money going to Alexi’s family? Probably not! Is any of the money going to the rehab facility in Finland that Alexi’s ex wife (Kimberly Goss)started up?! Probably not! Are they using the death of Alexi to profit absolutely. It’s a shame I know it all got fuked up and I can imagine a lot of the blame is on Alexi, the drinking, the fact that his “new wife” Kelli drove a wedge between them all. If she’d of not got involved things would be different now. She a broomstick riding BI-T-CH no one starts a go fund me page to morn the death of their so called “husband”

Edit: I got you mixed up with Mr. Wong above me. All your points are spot on. It's gross how they're not even giving a portion of their earnings to the rehab program or Alexi's family.
