This is old but found these coils and just as I expected they aren't good. For one the outer wrap on a fused clapton shouldn't be less than 36 guage and 38-40 is where I like it. Adds less mass, taking less time to ramp up... the framed staples are even worse. On top of 32 guage outer there's no ribbon / different cores, so no nooks inside for more juice to settle. That's the main reason they give great flavor. Lastly, I installed just one of the frame staple twisted and it read 0.09 ohms instead of 0.2 ohms... used the legs to make a 5th wrap and still only read at 0.11 ohms. That's half the expected resistance.. wth. Not even going to bother trying it. FYI buy your coils from places that specialize in it and have a good reputations like AVS or wireoptim, etc.
General rule of thumb is if you have the wicked atomizer on your mod and pull on one end of the wick you should feel some resistance but not enough that you'd tip the mod over before pulling it all the way through. Some R(D)TAs may work better with thinner wick but that should give you a good starting point.
Can I use both the coils in vandy vape pulse v2 squonk dual battery mod...and the dense flavour coil is it the frame stapled coils..and can I use the same coils in v2 rda by vandy vape pulse rda...pls reply..thanks for the video I was searching for a video like this.
Are they single .25 in dual I have them but have some other coils in but confused are they the specs in dual or single . So will the resistance be cut in half if I do a dual coil
Hey Travis, I am having the same question, cause I just set up those, same brand but with a little higher resistance of 0.4 ohm and I came out with 0.16 in a dual set up. It's my 1st ever build, works well, with the blotto rta on the odin mini, vaping around 50Watts, and it's just as great as our man is telling us here. Just not so dense and flavourful, I guess because of the lower wattage. But still no comparison to any sub ohm tank I tried so far.
I bought the same size Framed staple twisted. Im always getting .05ohms resistance on dual coil for 5wraps. I can not use it on my mod because the lowest resistance it can fire is .08ohms why is it happening? Can someone tell me why? Thank you.
These are not good coils. Let me rephrase that, these coils are not what they are advertised as. The "framed staples" are very poorly constructed, and they do not use ribbon wire which is where the "staple" part of "framed staple" comes from. These are cheap, mass produced coils, and anyone in the building community can tell you as much. If you want more information on how to spot well made coils, check out Pegasus Vapor Academy's video Fused Clapton Coils Explained: How to spot good vs. bad. It's specifically talking about fused claptons, but the tips on the clapton wrap can be applied to any type of build that uses the technique. It's worth it to shell out a little extra money for well made (read: hand-made) coils, especially if you're a flavor chaser, because you won't beat the performance of a true framed staple wrapped in a 40g clapton. I still like the video, you've got a great personality for it, and I hope to see more from you in the future.
Jonathan Hudgins bro i fully agree. These reviews piss me off. Like if they were appropriately named or discussed with truth id not mind but unless u read informative comments like this people thinm theyre as named. The reviewer said they're very well made. Yeab right. Hahaha this is why basic claptons are his favourite coil
i have a few packs of the geekvape coils fused and tri core claptons and they are insanely good quality 26ga*2 +38ga all N80, 28ga*3ga +40ga all N80, C-Town is only showing 4 products in the range of coils by geekvape. Don't be so quick to judge dude
Andrew Hateley I've not said what I said out of ignorance or personal gain. There's a company that does mass produced coils well and geek vape isn't one of them
From 16 coils, only 4 don't suck so much. And those are the claptons that have the 36G. 36g, 38g, are a little better than 32g. But claptons with 2x 24g, 26g, 28g, should go allways with 40g for a good performance. That means you only get 4 better than crap coils.
How are these framed staples without any ribbon cores? How can a reviewer not know? These companies must love youtube reviewers who dont understand coils. Deep sigh
I know not everyone is a grade A coil builder and these are for those who don’t have time or don’t want to make their own and get a good deal but these coils are ugly and sloppy and their not using the proper gauge to counter the other, I will say the fused Clapton’s are horrible but I’m use to how good I make mine
These are OK, but completely worthless compared to the new kit coilology offers with their 7in1 premade coil kit. 42x coils, 6x of 7 types , all exotic Clapton based and staple coils. $15. all n80, nice case , even 10 strips of pre cut cotton strips , made for these 3mm id coils . Multi core fused Clapton and the framed staple are my 2 favs in there. xD
Take it from a builder you really should learn more about coils before making videos about coils. It's like talking about how to build the world trade center with an architect and you're just day labor. These coils suck. Here's a piece of advice I'm not actually trying to sound like a douchebag. But I believe that if your reviewing something and offering an opinion you should be somewhat versed on the topic. Never buy coils that use below 36g as a wrap. 32 I find even too big to braid. 36 is nice to braid with.
Clapton are "crazy coils?" Took literally a day of practice to master with zero experience. People are so fkn lazy. OMG, THOSE ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO FRAMED STAPLES, THERE'S NO RIBBON!!! 😂 😂 😂 SMFH... Please retire
Are you stupid? A day of practice? I get paid about $300 a day at work. And you want me to spend a day learning to build a coil? ROFL. Get a life kiddo.

the best coils i have used so far !
I can’t seem to wick them I come from the profile mesh rda though. I need help on how tight the cotton should be
General rule of thumb is if you have the wicked atomizer on your mod and pull on one end of the wick you should feel some resistance but not enough that you'd tip the mod over before pulling it all the way through. Love the coils! :)
Good job. Its to bad that there web sight isn't friendly on looking things up

OTHMARIUS MAGIC .16 would be perfect for me
OTHMARIUS MAGIC that would mean one was like .30 or like you said .38
@@realkarma1254 The build was with two N80 fused clapton coils 0.4 ohm by geek vape.
OTHMARIUS MAGIC So that would be a .2 that’ll be perfect
I bought the same size Framed staple twisted. Im always getting .05ohms resistance on dual coil for 5wraps. I can not use it on my mod because the lowest resistance it can fire is .08ohms why is it happening? Can someone tell me why? Thank you.
love those coils !!!
Framed staples use ribbon not twisted wires, and never use fused claptons with 32g wraps. It adds a lot of mass to the coil
Buy the 10ft versions, more economical
Framed staple with no ribbon?

Jovan Carthy which company would that be?
Nice review......gonna pick some up!!
.2 ohms for dual coil set up for the framed?
I reach 0.06 rofl
nice review sir keep it up thumps up..
garbage. As stated by Jonathan , those are not staples at all. Complete waste of money and horrible craftsmanship along with false advertising.
so they are framed twisted, so they got the name wrong at least the product description is correct
They look as good as I see on my fb group .
If you take a wrap out of each one they rock. Ramp up slow if not
of course the ramp up is slow, the cores are Kanthal, don't buy them is you don't want Kanthal they do make strictly N80 coils as well

These coils are ok but they don't ohm rite like what they say they are so just check before chucking them in a mech mod :-)

IKR! Shits crazy.

Dominant vapor is awesome!
Vape channel that can’t make his own coil, pretty poor to be honest.
