What elite heavyweights. AJ best win against a prime current fighter is Joseph parker(who has got better since) he lost to fat Andy. His legacy won't be favourable in the long run. Fury peaked vs klitschko a decade ago. Dubois lost to big stiff Joyce via jabs, noone had him as a world beater after lerena had him down a few times. And the cruiserweight usyk beat will not be remembered. I mean he's a great fighter but all these fighters he faced are deeply flawed and not elite imo

@Smilejustsmilebby holyfield had 10 losses. Ali 5. Having some losses does not mean you are not an elite fighter. Styles matter and in some cases the judges matter. Point being your whole argument is flawed. Not everyone can be undefeated especially when they take tough fights. Almost all of the elite legends lost fights.

Great unbiased report from a British boxing legend.
Some of the ex boxers with the commentary team scored with their hearts and not their heads.
Usyk is a level above all the current heavyweights and I hope he retires now, as he has nothing left to prove.
Dubois did not impress me with his antics post fight and it would not surprise me if he does not get past Parker.

  • @theompman

Fury lost because he DID NOT KO Usyk. It's as simple as that. There is literally not a heavyweight on Earth who can outwork and outland Usyk, especially not in the 2nd half of the fight. And I'm a big advocate of Fury (and fan of Usyk as well).

If Fury would’ve got the nod, there would be no trilogy because old dosser would’ve ran off for an AJ fight. He’s not an honorable man the way Usyk is. If he fights and beats Dubois again, he should be done because there’s nothing else to do. He’s already completed the game multiple times over but if he wants to give Dubois another shot, good for him. I remember after their fight he comforted DD telling him that he’s young and when Usyk is done DD will still be there. What a guy

This was the best case of karma I have ever witnessed in my life. And the truth is, Fury deserved every bit of it. And seeing Bricktop crying his eyes out too was the icing on the cake. So all that remains for me to say, is Happy Easter folks.

The hard truth is that Usyk was the superior technical fighter. He was a genius when it came to movement and is arguably the greatest of this generation. He remained unshaken like a rock amidst the media frenzy, which, as we now know, many got wrong - including some former champions who mistakenly believed that aggression equals power. I am confident that he will go down in history as one of the greatest of all (if not the greatest), proving that size, weight, and talk don't matter, but technique, focus, and consistency do.
Many congratulations to Usyk for this masterclass and the way he conducts himself with grace and professionalism. This is an object lesson for all future boxers out there.

So according to all the people saying Fury is past his best, at what time was prime Fury? The one who beat Wlad. A fight where he barely had to do much with his feet and easily kept it at range. That version of Fury that had no knock out power? Or the one that came back after ballooning up in weight to fight Wilder? His foot speed looks the same to me. But since Wilder 1 he's always had fat around the belly area. He's since developed proper knock out power. So I'd say today's fury with the power and experience and the huge advantage of his size is a better version than the Fury we saw vs Wlad. He's looked really good the last 2 fights. Lots of other heavyweight fights would have been a walk in the park for him had he come up against inferior opponents. Usyk is just too good. Usyk is simply a better boxer. The better man won twice. He's a lot shorter and older too so no excuses.

@dondappapumpumslappa8051 well that's the point I'm making. He hasn't really proven he's the 2nd best. Interesting to see where he is seen after he's fought the other top guys in the division.
Not sure what relevance my life has to do with where Fury ranks among this heavyweight era to be honest.

Slava Ukraine? Slava western politicians and the industrial war complex pockets. Zelensky the little kosher ..has a 30 million dollar mansion in Miami. 7 million dollar villa in Tuscany, 8 million dollar mansion in Israel. Plus other portfolios that a multi billionaire has. Meanwhile 1 million Slavic brothers dead. Russian and Ukranian. You better wake up man. As the West used 27 million Russians as cannon fodder against Germany in ww2. Providing them weapons and supplies. Today they are using Ukranians as cannon fodder against Russia. Same playbook, game and execution.

For me I felt it was a better technical fight, Tyson was more focused and like you say Carl landed some good combos. Usky is just an abnormal human being 4 stone the lighter the way he uses those little circles and is just a phantom around the ring..... Every time Tyson put the pressure on Usky just came back throwing different combos and changing his foot work, style as he always does. Great fight to watch but Usky is just the boss.
