Nice bike, has a good look. Love “glued together “headlight ! Never seen the saddlebag idea before, cool ! I put duros on my sons 70, they have been great ! ✌️
Dude I'm getting a 1984 mint condition 200s , just for camping ,and having safe fun!! Nicely done on your part your done product, looks like the one .I'm buying!!
I put black plastics on my '84 200s, and i was thinking about shaving off the edge of them to get rid of the holes for the mudflaps, just like what you did yours. Now that ive seen what it could look like, probably gonna go for it. The holes on the aftermarket feders are so far off anyway, i had to trim them a little and open the holes and the flaps still dont look right. Who needs mudflaps in the so cal desert anyway?
Dude I love it I just scored an 84 200 S ordered my plastics new decals and looking for tires now I’ll check out your suggestion also looking for a headlight I’ll try the harbor freight great idea on the saddle bags
I was wondering if you could use 200x parts I've had a ton of 200s Growing up I would love to get ahold of another one they are all around a awesome Trail Bike if you take care of it they last forever my uncle has my old 200s
Would love to get a link to these tires because I can find them on ebay. Any idea if they're still available? Sweet build I love everything about it man.
Atc's have a front head light starting with the 70cc variants and above. there are already leads for the existing light that he spliced and reused for the leds(i like the double decker idea lol looks more like the oem head light size vs 1 dinky bar) , its a common cheap and easy atc mod, i bet they are also wired in parallel (they are a 12/24v rated light from harbor freight) so its only 12v system. which is oem for these trikes. the battery life is drained quick with more lights but you could go with lets say a lithium battery if your wallet allows. the old battery that would fit this would be sufficient but wont last long in terms of charge life. hopefully this helps! feel free to ask any more questions. Heres a link to the wiring diagram over a 3wheeelersworld forum, they provide excellent how to's, parts verifications across platforms and help with problems you may have from cdi issues to stroker builds to suspension building. Happy wheeling! :D www.3wheelerworld.com/content.php/187-honda-wiring-diagram-section
yeah just the stock stator has high enough output, i used the stock headlight leads as stated, i did bypass the headlight switch unit and am running my own switch and a kill switch instead of an on off switch
id be curious if you bumped up to an xr200r cam, before install, swap the cam chain sprocket from the old on to the new. ive read that they are much more torquey through out the rev range, but you may need valve springs. The xr200r is spec'd at 23hp at higher revs than a 200x or s, also the xr200r was a 11 to 1 comp (depending year) pistion so you may see numbers over that if you do springs ,retainers, and cam swap. What kind of fuel are you using with 12.1? ive been reading and the 12:1 pistons are a bit more on the wild side vs the mild side used for camping. more wild = the need for better gas to prevent detonation. You know your bike better than i do, im curious to see if this is viable because my wallet would love it, but from what ive heard its flirting with disaster if its for the long haul on 87 octane
I run the Ethanol free 88 octane gas. I am running the stock 200s valves and springs with just the 200x cam. I do feel the valves are a little noisy, but ive never had it detonate or sound like its going to. im running a high compression piston but I think its just 13:1? im not sure its been a long time since the build.
I'm Currently running a China copy 200x carb, but I have an OE Kehin carb that came off a 200x that im going to rebuild and install. should smooth out the rough idle; good ear!
List of Mods: 200x cam (stock 200s head) 200x carb UNI intake open box Chain guard eliminated (running gold chain) High compression proX piston 12;1 New duro balloon tires from eBay New maier plastic (rear fenders trimmed) Renthal ATV High Bars Troy Lee lock on grips NOS seat cover Black tusk CR 250 clutch levers and perches (on both sides)
the DG was a full exhaust from the header back and all one piece, the Fender Bags mount from the inside of the bag and inside the fender, i had to drill holes in my fender and then used fat washers on both sides.

Nice man let’s see it!
Nice 200s ....top end is a little on the noisy side tho
Agreed. Should b an easy valve or timing chain adjust.

Valves are rattling pretty good
yes I know, I think its because of the bigger lobe on the XR200 cam, they are in spec for sure... I'm not sure what else it could be. Any thoughts?
Okay, this makes me feel like my 185s sounds like all of them. Loud rattly noise when revved.
I just bought one. Why doesn't yours have the little storage trunk in the back?
Which pro taper bars are those they look good 👍
Thank you! they are the 5/8 ATV high bars
Do you have a voltage regulator for the headlights? Also how did you mount them
no regulator, just running off the stock wires for the original headlight, and I custom built/modified the stock mount to hold them.
I would love to have work done to my 200S motor
Would love to get a link to these tires because I can find them on ebay. Any idea if they're still available? Sweet build I love everything about it man.

Thats a really sexy hard tail quad. Enjoy. It. #200S
How’d you wire the light bar to it
straight through the stock wiring for the OE light no regulator
@@McNewMotoTech what about a rectifier ? I’ve tried everything to wire it up no luck.

nice !!! who did the top end conversion ?
Thank you! I did all the engine work myself

How hard is it to pull start for the 12.1 I’m doing the same build I have with a 200x with 200s motor.
its for sure a little tougher, but not bad at all with the auto decompression on the pullstart
Idles a lil high but very nice

What light is that you're running up infront?
its two of the Harbor Freight 8" road shock LED lights Epoxied together with JB Weld. slightly Red-Neck, but very functional.
Ouch those lifters gonna be breaking soon they hitting hard
What lifters?
What front rim did you use?
Stock Honda wheel
Hi, is it possible to get a parts list of your mods?

New duro balloon tires from eBay
New maier plastic (rear fenders trimmed)

@@McNewMotoTech you think I could do this to my 200 e or would I need to have a 200s ? Aren't they basically the same engine?
How you wire the lights
I wired then directly to the stock lighting circuit on the bike
Can’t hear the pipe over the sloppy valve lash lol
I know it’s terrible 😣
Is the DG pipe just a slip on? And may I ask how you got the fender bags to stick?
the DG was a full exhaust from the header back and all one piece, the Fender Bags mount from the inside of the bag and inside the fender, i had to drill holes in my fender and then used fat washers on both sides.
@@McNewMotoTech very cool. Thanks.
@@McNewMotoTech where did you get that exhaust? Thanks
what da dog doin'?
Adjust those valves lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Turn idle down a bit
yeah im running a china carb on it in the vid, Ive got a Kehin carb off a 200x ill be installing soon
