I bought the tamper not due to your amazing video but a random search on Amazon for forced tamper and came across it and love it it works best for me at max force adjustment at like 30 or 35lbs of force. I also got their gravity leveler but not the Titan model which is suppose to be the perfect companion to the tamper didn't see it till just now few days after getting it and using it. So far the muvna company has quality products. About to purchase the Mantis clone wdt tool they have and the Titan gravity leveler as well, to better match the tamper. Never could figure out why there's two springs for the tamper. I like the flat bases more then the ripple too. But haven't noticed any issues with the ripple base at all the tamper does look better the other force tampers. Amazon having a sale right now where it's 45 dollars and not the 65 to 70 dollar price tag it normally is.
@@CC-wolverine Thx for watching! for the price you mentioned it is a really good deal. I am not sure if I am a big believer of levellers but I sometimes use them myself. I will be reviewing another tamper next week.
@mycoffeeshow111 your very welcome. I came to this video and was shocked that you already did a review and I don't remember watching it lol. yes I do think after wdt you just to need to tamp but never had good luck w tampers of any kind so always used a leveler as a tamper since I have it adjusted to be able to do so. All my pucks have been consistent level and flat after doing all three and noticed a difference for me and my coffees I use. So I wdt level then tamp then pick screen. I only use the screen because it helps with the acidity in the cup I usually get and my stomach. The tamper is amazing and is the only one I use, I do wish I could adjust the depth in it or the leveler but can't but getting good shit times with it so trying to learn to be use to it not going so deep now. Just was curious if you use they're levelers was all. Thanks again for the video
I use this 58 size press and there is no hand fatigue from using it a lot and I think that by clicking on it to press the coffee it is better than the mhw press
@@foodieontour It is nicely made and useful. I haven’t seen scale like that before but I have not been looking for it either so maybe you can find a cheaper option.
I got a portafilter from them, and its good quality, fits my Kafmasino straight basket which is nice, and it also came with a Liquid demon basket itself. Great portafilter, but I'm not sure how I like the basket yet... I tried it a few times, but it seems like the mesh provides too much flow (yes, too much can be a thing), while at the same time, as the wholes and mesh don't go all the way to the edges (like the Kafmasino, which almost goes to the edges) - it appears to me the edges of the puck are left underextracted with this Muvna basket... I will play around with it a bit more, but for now for me: portafilter yes, basket not so much.
@@ffsolutions9442 thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. This is my first encounter with MUVNA. I also have whole set of Kafmasino baskets which are very good.
@mycoffeeshow111 Yes, I only have one Kafmasino basket, but it has been my daily driver for 3-4 months, still like new and no bending! It's a tank! As for the Muvna one - I will try it more, it's a bit easier to clean and I can only fit 17 grams of mid-roast coffee, but that's not a bad thing as it's more economical on the coffee. 😆 When adding 18-19 grams with it, it's too filled. It knocks down easier than the Kafmasino (which is hard), and since I started dosing 17 grams with this coffee, the edges extract nicely. Need to try it with light roast as well and compare with the Kafmasino for such roasts.
@ thx for the update. I am temporarily taking time off from testing different filter baskets as I tried soo many, but maybe in the future I’ll try the one you mentioned.

Big fan of their puck screens
I don’t normally use puck screens but maybe I should try it.
@ biggest advantage is they keep the group head clean. A lot less maintenance in keeping the machine clean. Also improves extraction and consistency.

That scale is an awesome present for a coffee lover - a bit pricey though. I saw something similar in China for a fraction of the price
