I got a generator that has the pull string broke on it, that the drill technique might just work. What's the apparatus called?

You'll need this to connect to the drill. Then connect the socket adapter to this.
I use this on my generators too. You have to be really careful making sure you have the ratcheting device clicked so when the engine kicks back it will ratchet back and not spin your drill and wrist backwards.
