Great video
I have an OTC hei spark tester like the one you have. While the minivan is parked and engine running (idling) I was thinking about accelerating the engine speed to see if the misfire reveals itself. If the misfire doesn't reveal itself with that option, will it be a good idea to do a brake torque test to see if that will reveal the misfire? I will be doing a cylinder drop test using a test light while removing one wire at a time from the coil pack for both options. Should I use the test light when doing both options or the OTC hei spark tester?
Very helpful, and entertaining :)
Плохо работает.
I have a 2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE V6 3.3L The minivan is giving me a P0300 code. I turned on the engine and left it idling. Connected a test light to a ground and connected a vacuum gauge to a vacuum port on the upper intake manifold. I did a cylinder drop test using the test light while removing one wire at a time from the coil pack and observing the vacuum gauge needle for movement. As i was removing one wire at a time from the coil pack using the test light the vacuum gauge needle was not moving so i can know which exact cylinder is misfiring. Do you happen to know why the vacuum gauge needle was not moving? I uploaded videos on my channel so you can see the tests i did can you check them out, please?
Could you tell if it was misfiring while you were testing it? I mean audibly or visually. Sometimes those dang codes pop up with intermittent faults, which sucks for us when we are diagnosing it. It may have not been exhibiting the fault while you were testing it.
@@HowIDoItFaM I couldn't tell if it was misfiring when i was removing one wire at a time from the coil pack. I want to find this misfire so bad. Today i was in a parking lot parked up and as the minivan was idling out of no where it completely shut off on its own.
@@AF1MIDS ahhh got ya I see what you mean. Now that is odd you had the wires off and couldnt tell if it was missing. Let me ask you this. Do you have a code reader?
@@HowIDoItFaM I do have a code reader it's called AUTEL AL539B.
@@AF1MIDS that's a good one. P0300 makes me think that it could be something electrical since it's not specific to which cylinder is misfiring, because if you had multiple misfires at the the same time you would definitely be feeling and hearing something strange. One way you could test it is by removing a wire and check the codes and see if it gives you the specific code for that cylinder.
What if I just leave it off, my rider has electric start and the cord broke and makes the awful sound. I don't need it so would it hurt if it missing?
Nothing really since you have electric start. It's kind of grass guard too. But it's not that big of a deal
@@HowIDoItFaM what I like to hear, I just use my old one to pull trailor, ain't got no deck on it. Thanks for the response and excellent video!
I had a few problems with this job. I'm a fixed 56-year-old female that didn't have money to pay $450 to tryn fixed my field pump so I had to buy one on ebay for $43 and do it myself. Unfortunately it only ran well for the first couple days and now it's even worse so I'm starting to think it's the fuel filter instead. The fuel pump in there was one that I just bought 4 years ago and it was probably perfectly fine but unfortunately I threw it away and I wish I had saved it. So the fuel pump has these clips that are located inside the fuel lines that attached to the 2 ports on the top of the pump. The one that I received didn't have the clips included on the pump. And the clips stayed on the old pump. So when I put the fuel pump in and attached the fuel lines, I did not realize that something was missing because the clips had come off with the old pump and I didn't notice. So when I attach the fuel lines and put everything back together and started the car, the outlet line port began to blow gas so hard that it blew off the fuel line that goes to the engine and the gas began to pour out over the top of my tank and onto the ground. So I had to get back under the cover and get the clips off of the old pump and put them inside the fuel lines so that they would clamp correctly and hold tight to the new pump ports. I also had a bit of a struggle because the flash was hard to fit with the top of the pump you had to put pressure to get the bolts to mount again. And if you drop a bolt it goes rolling off into the black hole of the fuel tank and you'll never see it again. Also had a lot of trouble getting certain parts to come off and go back on, but with my friend's help we finally finished the job. If only I had to check engine light to help me but not this time. So next I am going to figure out if it needs a fuel filter. I'm sure on money this month if only my son had paid me back I could pay $200 to a mechanic to figure it out.
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you've been going through it! I'll give you a couple of tips the 1998-2002 honda accords don't have a fuel filter other than the one built inside of the pump assembly. I've actually bought a cheap fuel pump off of Amazon. I'm sure it's probably the same one you bought off of ebay. It was bad out of the box. Did the exact same thing you just described. I bought another one and it's been running ever since.
Great video. That's were i may be. Good place to start.
This is how a how to video needs to be
Engine oil kit na dal lega.self rotation the blade when we pul the starter rope . problem kye hai
What causes this to happen ?
Usually it's when the needle valve ( inside the carburetor) gets stuck open and allows fuel to flow through. Since there is no ignition happening the gas has no where to go but into the crank case; therefore, saturating the oil.
Buying older cars is the way to go specially if you know how to work on them (thats what stops the layman from doing it), you would have to be insane to buy a new car today,7/9 hundred dollar car payments?? no thanks specially for this junk they are making these days, lol, 20 airbags and cameras and all kinds of nonsense no one needs and transmissions brimming with parts just waiting to break, ill pass.
I clean my carb, i still dont get any cranks
Hey man, I have a blower I start it up and it will turn on and I try to accelerate and blow it turns off and I have to repeatedly do the same thing until the 4th try it’ll start and go like normal
Thanks for watching! What kind is it? Could be a few different things. Carb may just need adjusting ( maybe starving for fuel). Also could be spark arrestor on your muffler.
It’s a Sthil 430
Also the whole muffler box is rusted and was looking for a new piece, where could I buy them do You know a good website or store?
check your plugs and wires first then work your way down to your coil pack then the module,if all else fails try a fuel pressure gauge,it also can be the fuel the older the car you need to run a higher octane fuel like mid grage
I like that Ryobi easy clean gun 👍🏼. Great little unit, Bill.
It's perfect for cleaning off small engine stuff!
I replaced the carb and it’s still bogging down like no power… any recommendations?
Amazon carb? Sounds like it may need adjusting
hey do you know the size of the smaller belt by chance? thank you, this video was so helpful!
I promise you my cutter must have the original small belt on it. It has more cracks on it than an old sidewalk. Looks like I'm a just have to take it off and measure.
Exactly what I needed to do to fix my weedwacker ! Thanks !!!!
Thanks for watching. Glad to help!
Could you please Sir, I just picked up my STHIL FS94 weed trimmer , from a repair shop, I said why didn't you replace the Filter? Its filthy, the guy said no there is nothing wrong with the filter the cardboard looking side is still white and clean looking ?? What, is that where the Air enters, I thought the spomgie looking side is where the air flows in and it is filthy ?? Can you please Sir tell me, which side is important to be clean ????? Sherry
The side facing the inside of the engine should be the cleanest. Since The outside is dirty it's doing it's job. You should be able to clean it. If it's not brittle or just way to far gone.
G’day Bill. I hear it’s really hot in the states right now. Stay cool friend. It’s the opposite here in Australia, it’s cold 🥶.
I propose a trade of some kind 😂...

2 thumbs up. Thanks for the video.
Love it, I want one too, Bill 👍🏼
I promise you won't be disappointed. Great price too www.tiktok.com/t/ZPREeSrhk/
I just did the fuel pump/sending unit do you have to release air out of the System or crack open the bleeder if it has one? Or should it just crank if everything is good? Also do you have a video on how you took off the fuel rail like you did?
Nahh no air bleeding or anything I just started it. I don't think I have a video of me taking off the fuel rail. But I do have one where I made a tool to check the fuel pressure.

@@HowIDoItFaM thanks fam your vid helped me do this job good shit thank you for the advice and quick response. I will attempt to go this direction. I was just watching it lol to give me an idea. Is it just the 4 or 5 bolts along the rail? Then just remove the whole thing as one unit?
@@erikgonzalez2278 no problem. Glad to help! Yep I believe so it's been awhile since I done it, but I know it wasn't very difficult.

Hi Sir, I have a Beautiful 2004 Buick Park Ave That I love, and naturally things on it need to be fixed. Number 1 is the driver's side window. It comes down just a few inches and stops, and does go back up, what do you think we should test first??? THANK YOU so much for this video, I am so THANKFUL for Men like you who share the knowledge they've learned to help others who don't have the money to pay a Mechanic for these types of jobs. The window has been like this since I bought it a few years ago, and I'm just now trying to get a friend to help me fix it. Your new ITALIAN fan !!!!!!🙋♀☮
Thank you. I'm glad you are here. Sounds like to me that your window motor is bad. Just like in this video
It’s a great video….
Thank you!
Did you replace the carburetor or clean it out? Would be nice to see the work on the carburetor
Dang where was this when I needed it last yr...gave my mower to this turd ball to fix cuz I didn't have time to fix it myself gave him 283 and he did nothing left my mower outside, it rusted some he kept it for months kept giving me excuses about fixing it and I still have to do things myself so last week I changed the deck belt, the oil, oil filter, charged up the battery, I ordered a new PTO cable got it in yesterday but today I came home too late so imma have to finish it tomorrow when I get home. I don't think I need a new fuse, the one there is a 20 and she starts fine but not like she used to, would it matter if I up the amperage to 25 I don't want to burn it out, I might need a new starter fuse though not sure, and I for sure need new blades but I don't have the proper tools or a breaker bar to take them off so for now I'll use the same ones, my pto cable shouldn't be too hard to figure out right? Seems simple enough. Thanx for the video
Nahh the pto cable isn't hard. The bolt connecting it to the bracket is kinda in an awkward position. Yea that 20 amp fuse is fine. Thank you for watching!
That was a great fix, Bill. You’re a magician, my friend 👍🏼.
Thank you for that! I'm trying to beat the heat at the moment.. I'm losing 😂
Thx I'm in this Situation now, leaving my Accord in the Parking lot.. Praying it survives the night, & fixing in the Am 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Man I hope so too! 🙏🏿
Thanks Bill! I think that's what happen to me.... the connector came loose. Gonna check this out first thing on the morning.
Thanks for watching! Glad to help. Let me know how it goes. It seems to be a common issue.
@HowIDoItFaM That was it Brothaman!! Connection had come loose... clipped them backed, knocked the job out!!! Thanks again!
@TheseBonez that's awesome !
Improperly loaded
Congratulations you won the prize
I miss my old sub compact😢
It might be worn rings or a gouged cylinder wall, blowby is more likely to exit a valve cover.
Very possible. I'm a dig in today and find out.
So what happened to that weed whip specifically? Bc i think my grandma poured regular gas in mine and i wanted to know, if just fixing the carburator would fix the problem?😊
You mean regular gas no with no oil mix?
@@HowIDoItFaM yeah
Changing the carb won't do much about that. You're biggest issue right now if you lost compression due to the lack of lubrication on the cylinder and piston rings. Did it lock it up? Or can still pull the string and it'll turnover?
Youre awesome bro
Man I appreciate that! Glad to help!
@@HowIDoItFaM respond to my other comment, bc im tryna figure this out rn, no problem bro, love
I'm trying to do the same but the fuel lines as well.
It's not to much to it. I'm sure you'll get it done!
Thx so much this helped me 😊
Thank you for watching. Glad to help!

What about it? It's an Amazon special 😂. The guy I got the truck from misplaced the oem. I'm hoping to come across one that's doesn't cost an arm and leg..

Well done.
Excellent job Bill! Exactly what I needed to hear from you. Thanks.
Thank you for watching! Glad to help
Ok, job done as you showed on your video and my 2003 PArk Avenue A/C module now lights up like brand new. There were 4 resistors that had come loose from the heat they generated. There is a brown color on the board by the resistors indicating high heat. All is well again. Thank you Bill!
@dennisdelozier5247 that's awesome you got it fixed! I drove my buick tonight to work.... Still smooth
Thanks, you had the best vedio on putting the deck back on ❤️thanks
Thank you for watching! Glad to help
Daym the only thing I wanted to see is how you get the flywheel off 😅😅
My fault 😅 what i usually do is stop the piston from moving up and down by removing the spark plug and stuffing some rope in the hole. After that , I'll use my channel locking pliers and turn the flywheel in whatever direction that's needed to take it off (on this trimmer, it's stamped) . Of course, being real careful while doing all of that.
Whichever chinaman is smart enough to copy this saw will be rich. Neotec copied the 543xp, which is close. I'm waiting for a copy of this one.
I worked at a used carlot we had many jump boxes and the jnc did the job for a long time.
Definitely the best imo. I carry that thing around like it's a life line at this point 😂
@@HowIDoItFaM That's how it is when it becomes mission critical equipment lol!!!
I GOT A SIDE BY SIDE THAT DID THIS A FEW TIMES AND WE DID THE THE SAME WAY
It's up to us to keep them going! Glad all got it fixed
