Haha true, but what makes this so bad i the US is because of the translators, in the EU direct there was subtitles so we could actually hear them. Reading subtitles is not for every continent I guess xD

Iwata-san. I've been missing him since 2015. He never got to see how Sun and Moon were announced, released or successful. But at least his memory will be remembered.
This was the first ever Pokemon/Nintendo Direct I ever saw live. I remember getting so hyped when they announced they'd throw in the Kanto starters as well as the Kalos starters. Maybe they'll do the same thing in Sun/Moon but for the Johto starters? That'd be just amazing.
Jump to 8:55 in 2022 if you to realize you were lied to. Nintendo has decided to instead cut off generations of Pokemon from being transported into the modern games because they seem to not understand how to keep a subscription service or digital market service working because of declining userbases, without securing accessible ways of playing over 20 years of games on modern platforms. Sorry, "grandkids". Guess you can't go back and play the old games and still keep your creatures.
@@johnroberts524 There's no confirmation of a shutoff for Bank yet. They said both Bank and Transporter will continue functioning after the 3DS online shutdown.
It's not a stupid question if you don't know. The main objective is to complete the pokedex which pretty much means to catch and have owned every pokemon in existence. Most people don't do this though and just raise their pokemon enough to beat the gyms, the elite four, and your rivals. Sometimes people make challenges where they use only certain kinds of pokemon or only one pokemon for the entire game. It's pretty open-ended so you can do almost whatever you want depending on what it offers.
I would support this feature if there was an offline method of transferring pokemon between generations as well. this would have been next to no trouble to implement and has been in every generation. to not give this option and to introduce a new charged option (no matter the fee) feels like a slap in the face to me.
Its actually on the official Japanese website. The price is 500 yen which fans are translating to around $5.01. But that's the yearly price for Japan, there is still no word on the US, UK, and etc. places yearly price. I'll try and PM you the link ;)
So much for being able to pass Pokémon on to your kids and grandkids, huh? So much for compatibility with future titles, huh? I don't know who won E3 2019, but Pokémon definitely lost. What an embarrassment.
If you stop at 15:11 you may be able to catch a glimpse at a new pokemon. It took me 3 minutes to stop it right on time. Also Marriland has it on his site.
Dear Nintendo and Gamefreak, I would like to say thank you on behalf of my childhood self that grew up playing these games. Since blue/red version came out in the U.S. I had always dreamed of playing a 3d version of pokemon (with the exception of stadium, etc.) This game looks fantastic and I believe that the Pokemon Bank is a great idea! Also, I am also excited about having a new and original starter. Keep up the awesome work!
Fiiine, simple answer is yes there are boxes in the offline parts of the game and no, you need the apps to do that (Though just do what you need to do while the trial is on)
The guy there, Junichi Masuda, is not only the director of the games (starting with Generation 3, before that Satoshi Tajiri took charge), but he was also the composer of the original games! He's still the composer and writes all the battle themes, but all the classic Pokémon tunes, as well as some really nice classic ones from Generation 2 were done by Junichi Masuda. Weird how he's the director now.
You capture monsters grow friendships with them, train them, and the best of all battle of them. Battling is online multiplayer. There is also a story mode where a trainer (you) go around the reigon to battle all eight gym leaders, then after getting all of the gym badges the trainer battles the elite four and finally... The champion, one of the hardest bosses.
No, they are still stored on the Bank, which is separate from the main game (though you will probably be able to access Bank from X/Y). You just can't access them until you pay again.
There is a trial period :). Bank doesn't launch until December anyway, giving people plenty of time to get X/Y. Only problem is, it seems to be a universal trial period in January, instead of a trial period for whenever you first get Bank.
Digimon actually had the Idea as Digital Monsters Pocket. AKA Tomagatchi, later expanded to Digimon Digital Monsters. Which were first introduced in 1994 in Japan. Just needed to correct you sorry!

Per year. Which means you can't transfer old Pokémon you haven't yet transferred when your subscription ends. Or if you play the old games a few years from now you have to renew it just for those even if you don't use any cloud services AT ALL. You are basically paying for nothing.

holy shit, their actions will go crazy up for like just one day. Its insane. I can picture all those people in the market, buying tons of Nintendo actions, financing this game's creation. I bet they hired a huge team to make the 3D models of all the past and new Pokemon, there is probably more than 600 of them.
Except Pokemon Bank is NOT just a way to transfer Pokemon from Gen 5. It's also a storage for 3000 Pokemon that works with multiple games at once. The fact that the storage is cloud storage requires servers to run it. Paying $5 a year will more than pay for the cost to run and maintain these servers, considering there are MILLIONS of Pokemon players worldwide. Also, the DS and 3DS systems can communicate. However, a 3DS game and a DS game can't. Without Bank, we would be stuck with another RSE.
Do you think that with Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transport, they'll include the poketransfer feature? Not only that but with Pokemon Bank you can store over 3,000 pokemon into it. What if you wanted to start a new game and didn't have many friends to 'hold' onto your own pokemon. You can't always count on people to store things for you.

Like I said, the Japanese price is confirmed, not the other one. But… what they're charging in Japan is the equivalent of $5, that's why we're saying $5. If you want, just Google "Pokémon Bank 500 yen" and you'll find a bunch of links.
