    Thank you for this video and I must say you’re right about reading those notes. I recently had access to the full medical record of the psychiatrist and therapist I had seeing the longest. It was triggering to go back and read how I looked and felt back then. It was also enlightening in other ways. All in all it was fascinating for me to see my self as a patient from another’s perspective. You’re amazing!

      Can you please tell me how to go about getting my therapy records from over 10 years ago? Do I call the therapist themselves or the Center She had her office in?

    • @milagrosmendez77
      @milagrosmendez77 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@KaraLynnJack yes but be aware some records, if not digitalized can be destroyed after 5 or 10 years. Go to the clinic where she was at when seeing you. Hope you can find them and get that experience of seeing the other side. You learn a lot. It does make a difference in your current status with your situation.

    I know what therapists write and say and they aint pleasent. Actually over heard my therapist calling me a bore at a session once and from then on i decided ill fight my battles alone rather then trust people who simply sit there pretending they are intresting in what your saying. Im not saying therapists have to care but at least fucking being respectful. Id rather do myself in then see one ever again.

    Half the time I'm doodling and don't actually do the progress note until after the session. 😂 I have ADHD and doodling helps me get the fidgety out without being too disruptive to neurotypical clients. If I'm writing something in session it's generally only a few keywords to jog my memory when I do the actual note and then noting things like start and stop time.

    I am really excited to watch this video, as I have newly diagnosed OSDD and one of my alters is super interested in the technical nerdy aspects of mental health. Problem being, my dissociative disorder makes watching content without captions almost impossible. Any chance you could get autogenerated captions at least? I think there are done pretty good apps out there now. Love what you do, hoping to be able to watch soon 💙

    Are there certain notes that a doctor writes about their patient that other doctors in a network can see but even if you request your medical records you will never see them? I have heard of doctors that have written down stuff that their patient has said or done but when the patient requested their medical records they never saw any of those notes and or information. They noticed this when they went to a different doctor in the same network and asked a question and the other doctor never mentioned something that should have been in a shared record etc. Can you please make a video on this?
