I first discovered Dame Judi Dench back when my friend and I used to watch the British comedies on PBS, and saw her on "As time goes by" and "A fine romance" she has been one of my favorite British actors ever since 😍👍
Those of us who live in Commonwealth countries have long known of and loved Judi as she's been on our televisions - in plays, comedies, dramas. Wonderful!
I used to watch her with my mom every Saturday night when "As Time Goes By" played it on our local PBS station. She was hilarious, and I loved her immediately. My mom introduced me to British comedy like 'Are You Being Served?' and 'Faulty Towers'. I lost my mom to cancer 10 years ago. But, it's still bittersweet when I watch episodes of 'As Time Goes By' now.
I love Judi in "As time goes by"...my favorite scene is always when Lionel and Jean are in bed, due to it looking so cozy! I love it...I also love the fact she was friends with Maggie Smith, a friendship I hold dear to my heart...I love you both!
Yeah I was happy she got that role and it really led to that position having a larger presence in the movies. What kind of irritated me though was after she become the head, almost every movie had failures in MI6.
Judi is beautiful in every way to me. I love her work, And This was done almost 23 years ago and she will always be my favorite M in the James Bond series, and truthfully I miss Daniel Craig too. But Dame Judi was BRILLIANT, as she always is!
Oh my days. I was born in 1980 and I am so lucky my Mammy had been a fan of hers even before I was born. I’ve never known a time of not being a fan of Dame Judi. 😊
What a wonderful LADY.There are not too many that can hold a candle to her. May God Bless her and keep her in his care,❤❤❤❤Joan Tomasiello of QLD. Australia.
I disagree there are many beautiful and good things about growing old: learning to see a liar and a thief from miles away, knowing what is and is not important, self-confident, having loyal and loving friends for decades, wisdom and peace. There are physical limitations but there are limitations throughout life, that doesn't mean life isn't wonderful. Thank you for your many decades of brilliant performances. I do feel that Dame Judi Dench is the world's granny now, especially to actors who love Shakespear and England. Thank you.
There is nothing good about getting old unless you can do it without any problems or health issues. Getting old is like being nibbled to death by a duck.
i loved she said she does not look at herself, she sees herself as a tall willowy blonde, and the precision over her height, i absolutely understand that perfectly. you are not there to please or impress others, you do you.
It would seem that whenever you have a story about someone "older", it is about that person'a passing. I checked the information FIRST to see if that was the case today. Thank God, it was not …
I made the mistake of underestimating the skill and power of Dench's acting, when I decided to see Iris. Iris Murdoch had practically nothing in common with my mother, except that both women succumbed to dementia. Dench's ability to show the decline of the impressive intellect of Iris Murdoch was amazing. When towards the end her husband found her wandering frightened, so vulnerable and lost at that point, it brought back vividly to me when I learned my mother had been found out wandering in the rain in the car park of her block of flats. After that I spent the last few minutes of the film desperately struggling to suppress my sobs and planning how to get out of the cinema as soon as the credits began before the lights went up, telling my friend I wasn't feeling well and needed to leave immediately.
Oh, I love Dame Dench, she is the most genuine woman. To admit they were all a little "hung over" for a matinee is priceless. I'd heard of her before but never saw her act until Goldeneye in 1995. She is such an amazing woman.
I love love her as M in 007. While her character may seem cold and calculating she did care about bond saying "come back alive" M maybe the opposite of Bond (experience) but they do meet in the middle on stopping evil in it's track. BTW, missing Ed. He was solid on 60mins
Now that Christmas gifts become links sent by e-mail, let them movies entertain you some more, let them become a brand new inspiration for you and let it be Christmas right away, Happy New Year of love for more movie productions to work on, let them gorgeous actors perform some more because fans love youuuuu guys ❤🎉❤

And all the great British comedy TV she did … she is a force to be reckoned it
It would seem that whenever you have a story about someone "older", it is about that person'a passing. I checked the information FIRST to see if that was the case today.

This month, 12/2024, Dame Judi Dench turned 90 years old. Yes, aging is hell, but Judi keeps going.❣

XRPL not only for banks, it's also for green technology economy and tokenization economy.
60
minutes you are done. Shame on you! She is a classic. This is sad creepy.
I Adore her
To me she is most beautiful!
How about "M?"
Dench is the only vintage British actress left. There is Helen Mirren, and now, Olivia Colman though.
Eileen Atkinson is still amazing!
"Around the World!" 😂😂😂 Everyone KNOWS it is a play. Nobody believes it is reality, please...
Instantly thought of James Bond
I❤u
Her James bond roles... hello?
