Well each of these women thoroughly deserve their title, they earned it and we respect them all…not equally because each is unique and thank heavens they are so different.
These ladies combined talent, intelligence, class and beauty. Between them all, they have achieved the highest accolades in acting winning Oscars, Emmys, Tonys & BAFTA's. They always brought their "A" game to every production they were in and when interviewed, were articulate, charming and engaging to listen to. Each of these remarkable actresses deserved their knighthoods for the long and successful careers they had. The best of the British.
Liz Taylor DOES NOT belong anywhere near this list. She's only British by birth. Her acting (if you want to call it) is nowhere up to par with these talents
I must disagree. Elizabeth Taylor was a stage and film actress, with two Academy Award Best Actress (2 Oscars), and her charity work involved setting up the first AIDs foundation which funded treatments to improve the quality of life for acquired HIV-AIDs individuals. Elizabeth Taylor cared about these individuals when everyone else did nothing.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch ❤ thank you .
I love these ladies/dames.
These are all magnificent woman who have left their mark in the world of cinema ,and yes, they deserve to be called dames !
Thank you for this. I've grown up watching and admire all of these great dames.
Judi Dench is so refreshingly down to earth, and seems to care very deeply for her craft.

This was vey good. thanks for posting. :)
Emma is my queen
Excellent 😅
Julie Andrews is the best😊😊😊
It's amazing that Celia Imrie isn't a Dame.
She will be I think, soon. I also expect Olivia Coleman will eventually be nominated, but maybe not for another 10 years or so.
How could you miss out Vanessa Redgrave?
She's not a Dame which seems to be the criteria here.
Vanessa Redgrave is a Dame as also are Kristyn Scott Thomas and Imelda Stauton
What about Harriet Walters?
……maybe Dame Harriet WALTER…………
Where is Joan Collins?
I would have preferred to have heard Helen Mirren discussing her craft, rather than have a leering Parkinson and the obsession with Helen's bossom
Elizabeth picked up British pronunciations - so hard not to
I have. And yes she is good in that. However, she was quite undeserving of the OBE

Have you ever seen Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Liz was a big star. Of course she deserves to be here
