Both. A reducer will take your 36 V or 48 V golf cart and reduce it to down to 12 so you can run electronics. A fuse box is good that you can wire your main input power to it and branch off from that to feed all your electronics and devices, but also have fuses in case anything shorts out.
What did you use to scuff the paint? Sandpaper? Or something else? What type of paint are you using? Did you have to add paint thinner to the paint in order to be able to use a sprayer?
Thanks for sharing. Including the $600 you paid for the cart, what was the total $ amount you have in it? Looking for a cart for our lake house and trying to decide on purchasing and old one and doing a rebuild project like you or buying a new ready to go one. Trying to figure out the cost spread. Thanks.
Well, the prices of things have changed in the last few years but I was in that cart for around $2400. I did build a club cart precedent with a Navitas upgrade from DC to AC and about $4600.
Awesome build!! I just picked up an Ez Go TXT for $350, will be doing a full rebuild as well
Nice!! Keep me posted!
Part 2 finally!
I have a work horse that I’m working on that’s electrical. I need a wire harness so I can put lights and music on it! Any suggestions?
More details?
Do I need a fuse box? Or a reducer?

Honestly, I wet sanded it and then I scuffed it up with Scotch Bright hit it with a can of bulldog promoter, and rattle cans

That looks great! What speaker pods are those?
I honestly do not remember. Sorry
Nice build man. I’m sure a potential lift for it in the future?
It’s sold.
Did you consider using a bluetooth amplifier so that you do not take up space on the dashboard?
Well, it already had to cut out for the radio, so we just went ahead with it
cool build!
Thanks
Did the HD rear springs add any height to the cart?
Not really just stiffness for weight.
What paint did you use to paint the body?
Gosh I don’t remember. I did go to the Sherwin-Williams paint store.
curious what kind of top speeds you are getting in that thing?
If I can remember correctly, I want to say around 18 to 20. It had stock motor but a Navitas controller.
So you did a two parts rebuild and never showed the cart moving
We drove it at the end. ?? It drove great.
