I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the Iranian food! To be fair if you're Iranian you'll often cook and eat home food (which, as I've commented before, is immensely diverse and you should definitely check it out more), but kabobs usually require a grill or barbecue and quite a bit of hassle to accomplish at home, so we usually get takeaway from the nearest Persian restaurant if we want some. An interesting fact, though, is that Iran doesn't really have a restaurant culture - 90% of restaurants there serve the same food (kabobs, stews, rice, etc.), with some regional variation, and there is a dearth of restaurants serving non-Iranian, non-fast food in the country. There is an impressive amount of culinary diversity throughout the whole region, but most of it is inside the home and the recipes are passed down through families, so you don't really see it reflected in the restaurants. 2nd fun fact: "Berenjak" means "little rice" in Persian!

And we delivered :)
This was such fun to watch. Each of you were so happy during your food kit. And all three kits looked amazing.
You just KNOW Barry went and got that steak kit the moment he got home
Lavash bread brings back memories- my mum used to use it to make meat and salad wraps for my school lunches!- yummmmm!🥰🤷♀️👍🏻
Mikes: "I'm confident, I am very confident" gives me hot sauce "poker face" flashbacks
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the sear that Ben got on that steak
When Mike said "oh hello" he sounded like Matt smith's doctor 😄
I'm always so ready to try all of the restaurants you guys recommend and then I remember that they are all in London, and I am not even in Europe.
These restaurants: *how much are we paying for this top notch review? NOTHING?!*
Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure.
I have to go with Barry's personally... it's the most unique at-home experience and at a great price point. Was extremely unsurprised when Mike picked a chicken box
Sorted is gonna make me move to the UK just so I can eat all of these
Did you pick my brain???
It's been a long time since I've had this much regret over leaving the UK. Good job guys, I want to move back across the Atlantic for these.
Jamie and Barry have a dynamic, but I love the dynamic between Mike and Ben. Mike just lets Ben be Ben and laughs, but not in a mean way. He laughs in a "ahhh this is my friend" way. Barry and Ben, while they are the best of friends, Its a love-hate thing, lotta tension. Jamie and Ben is just snacking and innuendos, lol. Which is great. Mike and Jamie are a brothers dynamic. They compete and get in to trouble when left to their own devices. Mike and Barry? Chill vibe with a dash of arty and a sprinkle of pretentious.
Can we talk about james' dynamic with each of them for a minute?
❤️
The first one is the winner to me. So simple, not too expensive and it seemed delicious!
You know Ben's excited when he gets all sing-song-y 4:36
This is one of my fav episodes! I will watch and rewatch multiple times!
The look on Jamie’s face when he said the chips were cooked in beef drippings. 😂
Guys... I got soooo excited when I saw the Kabab kit. I'm an Iranian and a huge fan.
Please try more Iranian/Persian recipes on the chanel. You won't be dissapointed.
Cheers 🍻
This is by far the most delicious looking video that I’ve seen lately. My stomach is growling and now all I have a craving for is fried chicken from across the pond
😂 I love the way Jamie's face lights up at the prospect of eating.
I'll have the all the salad bits and the plonk, please!... Oh, and the sticky toffee pudding. 😂
Aw man, the fact is says chef and not chefs is depressing
It always said chef not chefs
There still another Chef there he just doesn't appear on screen.
@@hamie58 a whole food team. Not just james, but he is leaving sadly
Had the same thought
@@Gineesje I think the food team is now just Ben and another guy now.
I could seriously not choose one of those kits to be the top pick...they were all awesome & my mouth was literally wattering up just watching each one being prepared...great review guys, keep them coming...😊👏
I’m completely with Ben on the frying. I don’t like the smell of my house the next day and I’d rather not know just how much fat is going into my arteries. Denial tastes so much better.
You need a better ventilated kitchen/house.
I have NEVER had that problem from frying.
If the oil temp is right, the fried food should not be oily. Just a little on the coating.
@@CharlotteKandy they may just have a sensitive nose..
@@stephbrown1500 true. I actually just had nose surgery a few weeks ago to fix my messed up nose so maybe thats why I never smelt things like that haha
@@CharlotteKandy ahaha yeah maybe
Hope you're healing well after the surgery!
I'm salivating over the Hawksmoor kit! Though the spinach appears next level tasty, a light sprinkling of nutmeg would send it over the top! 😁😎👍✌
This is brilliant, and looks as always delicious... and i know it is also a lot about supporting more local restaurants BUT could you possibly do international DIY Food Kits (maybe best seller, or surprises) you found?
... I am now hungry
We don't know of any International Food Kits? We think they may be a bit expensive to ship too.
Would the food still be fresh?
@@SortedFood I remember reading about promising food box startups from last year on eu-startups, and well, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some great articles about food kits international around.....mostly I was looking for kits in Germany but I mostly found good ugly fruits and ugly vegetables boxes where I live....and I am kinda curious what could be possible
If you're in USA, then I've just been watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which during lockdown had places ship them food to try, so may be worth looking at Guy's social media for recommendations.
Maybe baking boxes would work internationally?
I find comfort in your videos. Thank you.
Me: i wonder what jamies box is gonna be
*Ben opens hawksmoor box*
Me: *facepalm* ofcourse its bloody hawksmoor!
Yup, you know it!
Oh wow! I don't think I could choose who did the best job reccing their kit - Barry, just possibly, but the other two were pretty darn good, too! In terms of whether I shall get one - I have a birthday coming up, but it's not a big birthday (so perhaps not the Hawksmoor!), and my husband does rather like cooking if it is spelt out for him step by step.... I'm not just that fussed on the chicken (although those sides look a-MAZ-ing), so I reckon we'd go for the kebabs. in fact, I suspect we might well!
