@@cnmillican01 Jan20th is with N2trackdays right?? (never went to their events but I heard they’re top notch) I most likely won’t go as it’s too late into the month for me, but I’ll definitely be back early February with FTD!💪🏼
@@blizzthebike ah damn yeah I’m doing the n2trackday. I wanted to do the February Florida track day but all my friends want to go the 20th. I’ll be seeing you around
Was this your first TD? It doesn’t appear so but if it was good riding man, passes were clean and you are riding smart around others and within your limits. It all comes down to seat time realistically but a few takeaways I could leave you with are these: 1: focus on fundamentals and the pace will come naturally 2: smoother throttle input on corner exits 3: try to have more consistent lines and brake markers 4: ask CR’s for their opinions and be open minded to their advice! If you ever want to go ride on track i’m in central FL, have a ‘20 and ‘05 zx6r (track only) just holler!
thank you my man I really appreciate this, I’ve done several TDs on my 650, yet the difference between these two bikes are insane. This was the first time bringing my 636 to the track so I wasn’t really pushing it till the last few sessions of the day. But I definitely felt the things you mentioned. Next event is in early February, I hope to correct my lines and to adjust my throttle cable so my throttle inputs are much more linear!! also, what track do you race at? I’d love to try out a new layout eventually!!
@@blizzthebike I just started riding in March of this year and frequented JGP a lot because it's only 2hrs from my house but I also ran Road Atlanta twice (you HAVE to go sometime!) and then Daytona in October for my first races and got bumped to white plate for 2024 season. Which is why I picked up the '20 to build something a bit more competitive for next year running WERA, PanAmSBK, and ASRA. Ear plugs and getting rid of the speedometer. You might be using plugs already but it makes the bike seem slower which allows you to go faster. Same with no speedometer. Think about when you are blasting music driving through a parking lot and you have to turn the volume down to park. High sound takes a lot of brainpower to digest.
performance wise i’ve done, race spec air filter hiflo oil filter full system Tech1 m4 exhaust 2wdw velocity stacks 2wdw block off plates 2wdw ecu flash putting down 128whp, i definitely feel a HUGE jump in performance lol. The bike absolutely pulls it’s insane even if the top speeds are the same (STOCK GEARING) a simple sprocket swap would unlock the topend. You can literally feel the WANT to keep accelerating past 155mph.
@@hengweiteh i never saw this sorry, it comes with seat time. You need to feel and hear the bike dropping at the perfect rpm to downshift so you’ll be right under redline. This allows maximum engine braking and a smooth throttle transition once you’re through the apex. You need to simply.. like I said, feel the bike as you’re pulling in the clutch to add throttle. When you blip the throttle and gradually (not slowly) let out the clutch you’ll be able to CATCH the biting point and downshift all over again all the way from 6th to 3rd or wtv you need
@@hengweiteh Also when you’re braking sit on the inside of the seat with your body facing the apex, yet the bike perfectly straight and your chest facing forward, that way you can simply rotate your chest and you’re already in the perfect body position allowing you to brake DEEPER into the corner with more confidence. Learned this recently so you don’t see me do it in this video
definitely bro, i was thinking of attaching my old hero5 session on the tail of my bike to showcase my body positioning The goal is for a 360 cam but I have other priorities haha!
way better performance, smoother and controllable engine braking, smoother roll-on throttle, smoother QS shifts especially at low speed, way cooler temps (due to fans turning on earlier), perfect fuel ratios, idk the list goes on and on and on lol. Very worth it, the only thing the bike is missing is proper gearing. 5th and 6th are too short for 128whp lol.
@@BrizzyTV. Yea hahaha the early fans make a huge difference it’s crazy. 😂It’s actually hard to warm up the bike to temp on cold days LOL!! Keeps it nice and below 215 no matter how hard you abuse her. Those days of coming off the highway and my bike almost over heating at a red light were HORRIBLE
i forgot what brand, but I’m certain you can. i would love to add auto blip and launch control… which would be done through a 3rd party ride by wire system.
oem tires at 33/30psi, very soft and grippy. @blizzthebike I ride a 2021 Ninja650. I live in South Miami and work on Southbeach. Its a great bike for commuting to work back. I've thought about getting a ZX6R or ZX10R, but haven't decided.
@@Rich_Newell_ the 650 is super comfy!! so different than a supersport. While I’d love to have both the 6R and a future gen 10R… imo nothing can replace the absolute perfection of my 636
Lol, I don’t have fancy auto blip like these new 1000s. So would you like me to sit in the back of the parking lot waiting for my bike to warm up past 140???? Ok I'm just gonna assume everything else is dandy. I'll just give my 2 cents. Accelerate as much as possible when you do. Try go full throttle whenever you can, as fast as you can. Brake as hard as you can when you do, and fade into a trail brake. And then try to minimize the time when you are not full gas or full brake. Welcome to your new expensive ass addiction.
