I bought a used ZX6R and love it. I suggest changing the damper settings on the front and rear, It's set up really stiff from the factory. Dave Moss Tuning has some great videos on damper setup, it totally changed the feel and maneuverability of my bike. Enjoy your riding!
I gave up my "Dream Bike" because the problem was I had to be asleep to ride it. So I bought me a real bike:) Enjoy the ZX6R it is a fantastic bike, you're going to love it. Enjoyed your video. Cheers.
I remember driving it home and I thought I was gonna wreck the whole time cause of the position is so weird on sport bikes. Adrenaline rush. Awesome man!!!!❤
Bro, I got the last 40th Anniversary Edition in Vancouver, BC.. I'm so excited to ride it next season. I'm not gonna lie, this video is getting me pump.
@llgatorll4527 luck has been wished upon! Seriously though take it slow ride around your neighborhood get a feel for the bike before you start taking it out on the busy roads
@@connasaki I practiced in a parking lot for a couple of hours with my buddy to get a feel for the bike. Took it on the street and it was 1000x funner than I thought it would be. Worth every penny
F Mirrors. Do not listen to this child. I need a steering DAMPER/STABILIZER. YOU NEED TO BUY ALL OF THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, AND HAVE THEM INSTALLED. Mirros tucked? You need to know what is around you at all times. Especially lights!!! Seeing what is coming from behind you. Anti fog pin lock for your helmet. Anti fog safety glasses are a must
ngl you right, sportbike rider or not because ive been caught riding later at night and my helmet fogged and it sucked 😂 had to ride home with a wet runny nose because it was cold and my visor had to be open
i just picked up my zx6r yesterday and they told me to keep it below 4k rpm until the 200 mile service but it’s hard to do that because even in 6th gear that’s like 40mph. any tips?
Do not go past 6k. Keep your engine speed at 4k. Not above, for the first 500 miles. Do your service. Then do not go over 7. Maintain engine speed at 6k until 1000 miles. Only then you should truly open her up. You will thank yourself... And so will she
The zx6 is a very aggressive uncomfortable position. The gsxr 750-600 is easier position on the rd. Gsxr 1000 is comfortable as well. Look at a set of helibars for your bike. They make a huge difference but not noticeable at first look.
@@connasakithat's why I wanna get a ZX4R. All the sound, fun, and "speed" of a super sport but a nice nimble, and more comfortable package. Plus I won't have cops breathing down my neck 😂
Not embarrassing. If you change the GEOMETRY of your motorcycle, you need to take into account of her then limits. You can lower the front and get a longer/adjustable DOG BONE. RIDE YOUR LINE. DO NOT OVERTAKE OTHER RIDERS. YOU ARE NOT ON THE TRACK. PRACTICE HARD BRAKING... COLD TIRES AND HOT!!!
New riders need to look up how we lost our sister's n brother's to motorcycle accidents, IN THERE STATE!!! AND EVERY STATE. REMOVING YOUR MIRRORS IS ONE IF THE MOST UNINTELLIGENT THINGS YOU CAN DO. GET YOUR SHORTY LEVERS BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR BIKE.ADJUST THEM TO YOU!!! MOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF STRONG FRONT BRAKE PULL
"this is my dream bike" got me there brother, fellow dreamer here as well hoping for the upcoming years 🙏
I hope you can get yours soon then

@alansphotos I will def be checking that out then thank you!
It is #1. Along with proper tire pressure. Knowing how to warm up your tires... And knowing when they are warmed up. DO NOT BUY CHEAP TIRES
this was my exact reaction to driving my 6r home too! love this bike

@TheBadassOne17 yeah it was a blast

I’m getting a new 2025 zx6r in a few weeks im so excited
It's also funny how like all bikers naturally talk to themselves when they ride

ZX-6R. Good Bike.
Congratulations dude!
Yo that's sick. Idk if I'm going to get the 6r or the 10r but I'm just as excited!
If you gotta ask, then its a 6r, learn the bike not the throttle

do your best to keep it low, but in all honesty you can get it around 8k 10k rpm every now and then. its what i did and my bike runs perfect
under 8 really
