Btw, Michigan tried to play Texas the way they played OSU this year in their secondary and we put up 31 points on that defense. Michigan has a good defense no doubt. They proved it against OSU but Texas is actually better than Michigan on defense.
I in no way think Ohio State will blow out Texas and Sark . To much equal talent IMO. Im a Buckeye fan as well. I just think it will be a closer game than the last two.
Oh I did, it's just very difficult to come out fast and stay that hot multiple weeks in a row. I hope they come out and dominate early, just don't know if they will.
Ohio State’s defense is definitely going to give Texas trouble and not let them score over 20. Only way Texas wins is somehow stopping those Buckeye offensive weapons. Ohio State 35-17.
Pete Kwiatkowski uses a Match Quarters defense, basically a system that starts as zone and ends in man. Not that it would help Texas according to everyone since OSU is gonna blow the doors off Texas Just wanting a great game from the two no matter the outcome \m/
I think it will be something like 35-24 Ohio State. But I could also see something like 28-20 Ohio State. I could also see Texas winning close if they get their crap together and Ohio State doesn't keep the pedal to the metal, something like 31-30 Texas.
The Texas o-line has a combined 147 starts. Inexperience is not going to be the main issue with them in this game. It really doesn’t sound like you’ve done your research on Texas TBH.
Btw, Michigan tried to play Texas the way they played OSU this year in their secondary and we put up 31 points on that defense. Michigan has a good defense no doubt. They proved it against OSU but Texas is actually better than Michigan on defense. Texas has largely played Cover 3 this year with 3 safeties (Taaffe, Makuba and Gilbeau).
Texas rarely plays man! Rarely. PK our defensive coordinator doesn’t believe in it. I certainly don’t expect him to given the kind of WR talent OSU’s top 2 receivers have, in particular. I’m hoping OSU plays man against our receivers. I don’t think they will but Texas could put 5 receivers on the field with 4.4 or better 40 speed in a spread look if they choose to test a man defense look. That would be awesome. Isiah Bond would smoke his man if that was the case. Bond has track speed and has a chance to beat Xavier Worthy’s 40 yard dash record at the upcoming NFL Combine. He’s blazing fast when healthy. Just watch the highlights of Texas’ games against Florida and UTSA this year to see highlights of his elite speed.
Dude. I understand you stated you haven’t watched much Texas this year. But if you’re putting out a video breaking down this game, SURELY you can at least go and watch the SEC Championship game (that texas lost by only 3 points in OT), and Texas’ college football playoff games against Clemson and ASU. the bare minimum, to be able to make a video about this next matchup. if you’d done that you wouldn’t be mangling the player’s names constantly. Watch ONE of those game i mentioned, and you’d have heard the announcers correctly state their names MULTIPLE times. First off, quintrevion wisner’s name is pronounced TRE WISE-NER. It’s not “WIZ-NER”. Say the word WISE, and add a “NER”. Then there’s Jahdae Barron. What’s the award for the best DB in the country? The Thorpe Award. Jahdae won that, a few weeks ago. He’s the best DB in college football right now. So why do you keep calling him “JAHDAE BROWN”?? You showed that you know his name at one point, then as the video goes on you reverted back to “JAHDAE BROWN”. It just shows a shocking lack of prep for making a video about an upcoming college playoff game. You make some great points, but why get this fundamental thing wrong constantly: the names of the players that have brought these great teams to where they are?
Texas mostly runs zone not man. Arizona state moved the ball up and down the field but struggled to score, that's very much what the Texas scheme is. Limiting big plays and forcing teams to drive the ball.
I bet texas cover and ND, don't know if texas win but if they defense show up like how i think they will osu will get rolled and i wouldn't be surprised if this game go over
I haven't seen much of him, but if he is better than Caleb Downs, good lord! I also think it's a little comical that the Texas guy won freshman of the year over Jeremiah Smith.
If Texas doesn’t bracket Jeremiah smith I’ll lose my mind . Don’t leave one man on him on an island . You’d think Michigan gave these teams the blueprint in stopping him but it seems teams just want to single cover him and lose
Well Tennessee tried to mimic the Michigan defense, and Oregon did a little as well. The problem is Ohio State ran a totally different game plan vs Michigan than it has run offensively this entire playoff. So the Michigan defensive gameplan really doesn't fit what Ohio State is doing offensively now.
@ What do you mean different game plane ? Because they threw the ball more times in the Michigan game than both the Tennessee and Oregon game . I guess they haven’t just run up the middle like they did against Michigan constantly but I don’t see what they’re doing much different
@di114n2 What I mean is they went from running inside zone run scheme to a gap/pin and pull counter run scheme. Then they extended their play action and rpo passing game off of the counter and gap run scheme. The offense Ohio State is running in the playoffs is very different from what they ran vs Michigan and even most the year.
There’s only been one team this year score more than 20 on Ohio State and that was Oregon 32 and 21. Texas will struggle to score a lot against Ohio State. Only way Texas wins is if somehow their defense brings the pressure inside and stop those powerful offensive weapons!
@ Yep . Only way is Texas stops the run and if they get pressure consistently without blitzing . I don’t see it happening but I do think the score will be closer than most people think.

Appreciate your take. Well rounded, knowledgeable,, had facts to back up argument.

@@Darrentalksballyou’re welcome! But it’s Texas by 10
Both two great games, going head to head.
Hookem Horns 🤘
I think OSU will try to play us the way Georgia plays us because OSU is one of the few teams that can play that way.
His entire point is incorrect 😂 Texas run zone probably more than man.
This ia true
And Ohio State is one of the best passing teams against zone.
His main point is still invalid.
@@rrod1983 sorry, I didn't listen to it all.

Ohio State 35-17.
Do we have stats on how often Texas plays man vs. zone? They seem to play zone an awful lot.
Im pretty sure Texas runs zone more than man by a substantial amount
This is what i was wondering.
75% zone. Without looking I came across that stat last week
Jeremiah Smith is the second leading receiver in all of college football behind only Travis Hunter vs zone defense... Just another fun fact.
Pete Kwiatkowski uses a Match Quarters defense, basically a system that starts as zone and ends in man.

I was talking about the RT, who is a redshirt Freshman.
I think cam Williams is back this game. He was out last game but suited up just in case he had to go in for goosby
@@Darrentalksball Goosby is a downgrade from Cam who I hope will play Friday. On point there.
