2 of the greatest comebacks in franchise history in one week. This might be the most stressful year as a Mets fan since the owner actually wants the team to win and gives em the resources. The chemistry is great and everyone is bought in
As clutch as the home run was let's not forget lindor had the only 2 hits to this point. He also drew a walk against Williams. The home run was clutch but never discount what lindor did this night.
Man, this has been an incredible series. Everybody's heart was definitely pumpin' and I honestly thought it was over when I saw the score 2-0 on the MLB app. Then I saw this clip and I began to shake my head and say "WOW". This series, either team didn't give up.
@@teddy-ez5zt I don't know, that was a huge homer, but after the regular season he had, I think Pete and his agent would be foolish to seek Juan Soto type money....

Well at least in this day and age, we have something called cloud DVR. I have replayed this moment over 10 times now from the beginning of the 9th inning.
My late father never believed in comebacks and would always change the channel only to find out from me that something great happened and the Mets won.
ESPN really messes with the audio, as a Met fan who was at this game, you could hear a pin drop as soon as Alonso hit that ball out, they must highlight the Met fans who were cheering and amplify it
Whole room full of completely neutral fans legit gasped. What a jaw-dropping moment. Mets fans on top of the world right now, gotta feel for Brewer fans though. That is a heartbreaker.
@@josephstover4736 As a Milwaukeean and Brewer fan I'm definingly used to it. Although I would rather not be. In the past 7 years Milwaukee suffered 4 Wild Card Series losses, 1 Divisional Series loss and 1 Championship Series loss. And that is while clinching 3 Central Championships in the past 4 years! I can only speak for myself, but I feel like the regular season is meaningless. In Milwaukee the season doesn't start until the playoffs arrive, cause that's where we need to perform. It's the hump we can never get over. Pushing a decade of post-season playoffs with nothing to show for it is beyond tiring and old. One of only 5 teams, out of 30, who have no World Series Championships. It's beyond frustrating being a Milwaukee Brewer fan. But I still love my city and team. Even during these hard times. My wife and I recently returned home from NYC where we saw a Yankee's vs Red Sox game, then a Mets vs National's game (Citi Field is awesome!). Both games we a lot of fun and we met a lot of great New Yorkers at those games. At this point I would love to see a World Series between those two teams. But I imagine the odds of that happening are worse than the Brewers making it past the first round of the payoffs. Hmmm. Maybe I root for the Padres? They are chasing their first World Series Championship too. Nah, I'd prefer to see a Met's/Yankee's World Series, but I won't be upset if the Phillies eliminate the Met's either. 😄
I was 13 when the 86 Mets won the cup. I can tell you this is exactly what it was like for that entire season right up until the last world series game. Just nuts.
The 83% changed when the manager gambled on a fifth pitcher in a row being dominant. Guy gave up a hit, a walk, then a HR, followed by more hits to give up 4 earned runs in 0.2 inning. Game over.
Milwaukee was gonna lose when Williams walked the leadoff hitter. Seen it millions of times before and will see it a million times again. How hard is it to just throw strikes?
Congratulations to all New York Mets fans ! You have to believe ! They are Amazing, Amazing, Amazing . Never give up . Sign Pete . Give him a Treat. Two more trains 🚂🚂 to get to a Subway World series !
As a Milwaukeean who just returned from NYC and went to my first Yankee's/Red Sox game AND first Met's/National's game I could get down with a Subway Series! But, as a Brewer fan who's team just lost their sixth playoff series in seven years, I won't be upset when the Mets get eliminate from the playoffs. 😄
That was a strange home run too. When he made contact it looked like it was either going to be a foul ball or a long fly ball caught. Just shows Alonso’s freakish power… go Mets
