Kawasaki is giving new meaning to the phrase : "There is no such thing as a bad product, only bad pricing"
😂😂😂 honestly it isn’t all that bad though.
It's pricing is still better than R3
considering the wide service network kawasaki has and their aftersales reliability. it’s still not a bad pricing specially compared to Yamaha !
@@ShashankDobhal agreed but Yamaha isn't doing it throughout the range. R15 and other small capacity bikes are decently priced.
The r15 is also very overpriced lmao. Selling a 150 for the price of a 250. @@wanderlust0120

Glad they posted 0 to 100 figures in comparo... A right balance of objective facts and subjective opinion making it a good comparo
Thank you 🙏🏼
The 0 to 100 is not correct ig. For Aprilia maybe, but the R3 can do under 5 secs. Same for the N500.
@@titancodm1098 nope. In fact the new R3 is slower than the older model thanks to the emission curbing hardware.
If not for the absurd pricing- I would have picked the N500 even over the Aprilia. After one point of time, your racing hormones within you mellow down and need just a composed and comfortable bike that's still a hoot to ride. That Kawasaki is at a different level of refinement- yeah not as flashy and void of the electronic wizardry, but as a purist the basic set of electronics is all you need to enjoy the ride that includes long distance tripping. And to add, a Japanese will always outrun a European motorcycle in terms of refinement and longevity. The Aprilia is a hot chick you want to go on a date with, the Ninja is the woman you'd want as a wife.
Very well put! Honestly the pricing is tall, but not absurd. For all the points you stated, one might actually spend that extra dough…
Best overall package and price balance actually
Nice talk.
@@rohit_paradkaralmost 2 lakh extra and having inferior specs is not absurd, but a downright robbery.

Perfect timing man thank you so much for this comparison video! I love all these bikes and have been looking at them and the CF Moto 450SS and the KTM 390.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked the review. The common thread was twin-cylinder engines, so the KTM was skipped. The RC 390 has an aggressive riding posture very similar to the Aprilia, and while the narrow tank makes it feel a bit roomier, the same can get a bit cumbersome to grip on to when sport riding. The engine simply doesn’t match the punch and the performance of the RS457. We haven’t included the CFMoto because it isn’t sold in India.
If CFMoto brings the 450Ss to India then the Aprilia and CFMoto shall fighttooth an nail, Kawasaki shall be for 'returning' riders and R3 shall only be for Yamaha fanboys.
Cf moto 450 sr-s is little bit heavier and also less torque 39nm @siddheshgharat6300
For me, this is, wonderful, unbiased and most waited comparison. No bad mouthing about R3 for not having gadgets. Nowadays, gadgets in the bikes are the talk and not about the potentials of the bike.
321cc coming into comparison with bigger engines itself enough about its potential. No doubt all 3 are great products.
Agree that R3 is overpriced then and now too…
The old gen R3 design still kicks ass!
I am just waiting for Aprilia to launch the Tuono 457. I love the RS457 except for it's aggressive stance and a bit overwhelming power. If they launch a Tuono, it's definitely gonna be less powerful, more comfortable still stealing attention
Let’s hope that Tuono happens!

Ninja is that expensive because it's not manufactured in India. Here in the US, the 457 is about 1 lakh INR more expensive than the Ninja 500. Ninja 500 costs the same as it would in India.
Yeah I’m in the US I got quoted $8700 out the door price for the Aprilia 457. I’m on the fence if I want to spend that much but I like it the most out of these 3. Also considering the Cfmoto 450ss so we’ll see.
To be honest this review is very average. First of the R3 doesn't belong to this category! The power output of the other 2 bikes is way higher than the R3. R3 would be better stacking against the RC and ninja 300. And then not giving the proper specs for all these bikes and way too much talking. Unnecessary personification is just quite lame.
some wise words
And yet these three bikes are the ones i would like to choose between
R3 is competent to ninja 500 and rs 457 just because of twin cylinder engine. And having twin cylinders is enough to take on those 2 bikes.
@@torque110 clearly you need education
@@bc9629 do you know top end speeds of all these bikes??
Great comparo, very well done .All bikes just hit the market and its a great time if you are looking for a twin cylinder sub 500cc supersport . A brief mention of the equally talented ,as these 3 ,though having a cylinder less , yet the best value bike from Austrian Origin and dressed in Orange would have been welcome.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked the review. The common thread here was twin-cylinder engines, hence no RC.
Thanks for this detailed video ,now i m sure which bike i have to buy for long term , i m so confused in 457 and kawasaki 500 , now i m going to buy kawasaki 500 because safety comes first on roads .
Thank you, we are glad you liked our review. Most Ninja 400 owners are extremely happy with their bike and vouch for it, so I’m hoping the 500 delivers on all those counts too.
Just get the racing brake pads from Aprilia for 8000 more.
It will be better than the Kawasaki.
Loved the comparison, especially with that spectacular script. Great one 👏👏👏
Thank you
It's a very detailed review of three top bikes to in the segment in India. Thank you for the review. However, there is one little feedback to the content creators: metaphors... It's just too overloaded with metaphors... And almost 1 in every sentence uttered! It becomes too sugary a drink to enjoy😅
Noted.
Loved the analogies used all throughout!
Thank you. We are getting mixed feedback on this - so maybe we will tone it down a bit for the next one?
No way this comparison is complete without having the RC 390 and you know it
Also the RS in Aprilia stands for Racing Squad so it makes sense that the RS 457 has the most raw power delivery with jerky torque
Much awaited comparo ❤
Thank you
Very happy with the R3 already.
Yup. Nice machine
But they have to localise it to be competitive
Lavada outdated bike with higher price
Yamaha always king ur very lucky ❤
Bad value for money
Aprilia will surely reduce the spares and service cost as 457 will fly off the shelf pretty quicky!
I wish Yamaha had put in more efforts to localise the R3 to make it more affordable but I guess, Yamaha India is more interested in selling scooter in India.
Anyways, Kudos to Overdrive Team for this comparo!
Top review Rohit. I was looking at the 9s. Yamaha Wins three crucial places with 9s👍🙏

Aprilia is taking4.42s to accelerate from 0 to 100 😮🥳😎. But to decelerate from 100 to 0 it is taking 4.8 s 😢😅 I think it needs to be fixed
There is a basic law for every automotive stopping that should be quicker than the acceleration.
Most perfect trio we all waiting for so longggg❤🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️
Overdrive is on 🔥. What a script!
Thank you. Do you think we should tone it down a bit? We are getting mixed responses on this one.
Aprilia RS 457 is the best for me since I need the fastest accelerating motorcycle at the lowest price point.
Got my 500 a week ago and I absolutely love it, my first ever bike so I didn’t want the zx6r as I had no throttle control whatsoever. Wanted the 457 but at that price point I might as well get a 600cc
I did not understand this logic
Makes sense to me
So basically this was a video for promotion of aprilia Rs 457 because even after y guys telling that the brakes in aprilia is not that good u have still given it a 9 in terms of safety and while saying again and again that kawasaki 500 was too grt to handle and breaks are very good u have still given it a 8 in terms of safety really dude. This is what india is missing unbiased reviews. U said handling aprilia is not that much good still given it a 9 like really and given kawaskai a 7 after saying that it has good quality of handling. What will i do of features if my bike is not safe in terms of breaking and handling like i cant just hit the corners everytime most of the time people ride straight not leaning always onto the curves give us an unbiased review. And aprilia parts are so expensive and hard to find with very rare service centre u have given it a 8 in terms of value dude aprilia has made ur pockets really heavy. Indian youtubers will never get over it. That is why india will never see a biking culture like the rest of the world and will never see those bikes which are even sold in bangladesh.
I thought the same I was confused 😕 it’s like the Manny vs Floyd fight.. Floyd won even though he looked like he was hit by a car lol
@@Shakysugar bro these all are paid reviews nothing else that is the reason India will never have a biking culture like other countries. Indian youtubers are so biased towards the brand which pay them. Drag races are so fake reviews are so fake. Rented bikes and they claim they own them.

i am getting confused b/w rs457 and himalayan 452... i want to have a good machine to speed... but also i want to go around places with my partner " comfortably " ... being from a middle class family i need to make sacrifice here as i have to buy them with loan... i'd love any insights u guys have for me
For going around places Himalayan is best, specially around the mountain roads.
How about the Super Meteor 650?, I mean yea it's heavy but it's comfortable and not too slow.
Check out the Honda NX500 if you are able to stretch or maybe the KTM 390 Adv if you are on a budget. It will still give you a nice punchy engine compared to the Himalayan and yet be more comfortable than for both of you compared to the RS 457.
If you want to go around with your partner “comfortably”, the RE457 is pretty much ruled out.
452 khareedo or enjoy Karo baki bache hua paise se accessories lgwa Lena, 457 enjoyable hoga but for alone for pillion comfort and for long run 452 is perfect
try to get your hands on the newly launched RSV4, and the 660 twins

The US market Ninja 500 gets 51 bhp and 43 nm torque (stock) and can be easily tuned to 60 bhp.
What is height of the ninja rider here? Pls reply
Can you install accessory brake pads from aprilia and give us braking distance
I think aprilia heats up more than others in traffic
I really wish Aprilia sorts our the braking issue, I had a test ride today and the bike felt so good and is smooth as well except the braking part. It was a test bike so it's brakes probably had been faded and felt really scary to push that bike and not feel the feedback while braking. I told them and they gave me a different bike which wasnt so good either. I'm waiting now to decide if I should go for it or should try Yamaha R3
Coming from America I love your reviews... Americans have very little appreciation for small displacement bikes and they are almost always written off as beginner or entry level only and given very little coverage. Been riding for over 20 years and now just looking for something small and manageable that's fun and won't break the bank.
Very nice review, I think you did them justice.
Only thing not universaly relevant, the price comparison, it varies around the world, though perhaps not by much.
R3 will be my next bike, the Ninja 500 is a fantastic alternative, just doesn't excite me, the 457 doesn't even feature for me, not interested in it's sportiness, so called "features" are - mostly - useless gadgets for me and I trust Yamaha and Kawasaki more for a trouble-free experience.
TVS Eurogrip tyres on aprilia😢 is that much good?.

Aprilia ate both of them in looks... Italian for a reason ❤

Is that a box section swing arm on a 6lakh machine💀💀
Switches on the Aprilia don’t match up to the Kawasaki? Bro!! The switches on the Kawasaki look like they’re from a splendor
do you guys use ioniq 5 to record your videos?
Another note the rs 457 has a full size back wheel right?
kawasaki should have provided the 51hp variant which is avialable at the non european market
It's very tough to choose between r3 & rs 457 very very tough
I understand what you mean. Honestly if you are not going to hit the racetrack often and the price gap isn’t a big concern, the R3 would be the better everyday motorcycle between the two 😃
Yamaha couldn't integrate those those indicators in the fairing... Why are they extruding out? 😅
Isnt the 0-100kmph acceleration for the RS 457 around 6 seconds, which makes the ninja 500 the quickest of the bunch
Now we want to know long term service cost and reliability
2015 r3 looked far better than the new one, who would have thought back then that Yamaha would ruin its design after a decade.
If R3 was priced between 4-4.5 on road, it would have sold like hot cakes.
Agreed!
R3 should ve been sold at the same price as ninja 300!
Well in case here R3 is out of option. Rest 2 depends on preference especially the electronics.
The ninja 500 is in the wrong spot. 400 segment people aren’t rich enough to afford it, the rest - if richer - would opt for the N650 or higher… would make more sense if it was priced reasonably
Especially in today’s times where it would make only a marginal difference on the EMI, what you say makes sense. But that same ease of finance also means that some might still be able to push that bit more on the EMI structure than the Aprilia budget and get the R3 or the Ninja 500.
